afc schedules going forward
ndirish1978 replied to billsredneck1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The only way we upset the patriots is through namecalling, we're not beating them. -
You're using one of the absolute best draft for QBs maybe ever to make your point. Would you rather take Ryan Leaf than Peyton Manning? Take a top 2 guy, there aren't that many drafts with 3+ good Qbs. I don't get this frugality. What's the downside? We stink again for another 2-3 years because the trade up set us back? That small-minded thinking is why we've been screwing up the most important position on the field for SEVENTEEN years. I'm tired of "taking a swing" with guys who aren't consensus top picks. Bite the bullet, trade the farm and get us a QB.

Apparently the offense is holding Tyrod back
ndirish1978 replied to Gavin in Va Beach's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Unless you're married to him there is literally ZERO reason for your continued love for the absolutely worst-performing QB in the first half of a start of ALL-TIME. This post doesn't even attempt to make a point or base itself on reasoned arguments because you have none. RG3 is out there looking for a job, HE was a FIRST round pick, by your logic we should definitely start him. I mean he was drafted a whole 5 rounds sooner! -
Official fire Rick Dennison thread

Agreed. This fanbase eats everyone alive, players, FO, coaches, regardless of if they're talented or could be developed. Which is ridiculous since we have been awful for a long time. If we get a player who SHOULD be good and he plays just average because of the wasteland around him, that player gets publicly vilified while the clowns around him get ignored or even praised for "effort" or being "high motor" despite playing like crap. McDermott could break the drought and Bills fans would still be like: -
It's simple: Win this week and we are IN
ndirish1978 replied to McBean's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
By this logic winning out is the simplest way to win. We have a GUARANTEED 2 losses out of our last 5 games. I remember seeing the schedule at the beginning of the year and thinking "yeah that's gonna screw us." -

Belichik talking up Taylor and the Bills

I'd trade all the draft picks to get BB as our coach. -
He'll be here if he's willing to take < 6M/season. If he's not, he won't. He's probably gone

Is anyone here really a Tyrod fan?
ndirish1978 replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't really make a habit of being a fan of a single player. I'm a Bills fan. I have favorites on the team, sure, but when they leave I don't really care about them anymore for the most part. I tried believing in Tyrod up until this year. Unfortunately, it's clear he brings down the skills players around him that depend on him in order for them to be productive. We could bring in 3 All Pro receivers at their prime and they would be completely squandered in this offense because Tyrod can't put them in a position to succeed. When he does get players the ball he doesn't put them in a position to maximize YAC. Look no further than the pass to Nick O'Leary last game as a blatant example, but there are plenty of times in a game when receivers have to slow down and reach behind them for passes or stop and try and scoop up something that's too low; that's when he's not checking down to his RBs. -
We’re climaxing at the right time.

It's never a bad time to climax, amirite fellas! Heyooooo! -
I'm actually pretty surprised by most of the posts in this thread. All year all I read on this board is how we HAVE to get a franchise QB and we're crazy not to try and get a franchise QB and why haven't we tried to get a franchise QB ... and now most of you are saying you don't want to trade picks?

Hypothetically if Giants release Manning
ndirish1978 replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Pie in the sky. The guy refused to play for the Chargers and forced a trade to the Giants. You think he's going to just sign for the Bills? He'd retire before signing with us. -
Bills miss Post Season and ruin draft status.
ndirish1978 replied to Tatonka68's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This thought absolutely warranted it's own thread. It really laid out a lot of facts and wasn't at all just another LAMP post echoing sentiments you can find here in literally any thread. -

I didn't bother to read the OP, the premise of McDermott being in any kind of trouble this year in and of itself is impossible -
Winning 6-8 games here is the norm and we've had terrible coaches during the drought. I am not willing to hate McDermott, nor am I ready to say everyone should give him a break. Until we make the playoffs, he's just another guy who I'm not going to put a lot of trust in. That said, I do like him and hope he turns out to be a good coach.

How do we pull the impossible and beat the Pats?
ndirish1978 replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I post "Detour" signs outside the stadium and force them to drive to a deserted country road, then I have the police detain them for 3-4 hours. -
BB has spent years making deposits into the bank of trust. When BB does poorly, you can still rely on those banked funds. McD's defense was terrible and he pulled the starting QB for being middling in the midst of a playoff hunt. He doesn't have enough capital built up for fans to implicitly trust his judgment.
