  1. When I saw the title of this thread, I thought it was started by Savior Back-Up. Thankfully, it wasn't. The Bills are going to be making moves on both sides of the ball, we all know that, and the offense really needs help. Once free agency starts I don't expect the Bills to make a big splash. They could sign one big name player, maybe two, and I think that is being generous. Look for 2nd tier free agents to be the target. Although, that is not a bad thing. We saw what the Bills did with "lesser" talented players. I wasn't excited when we signed Jordan Poyer, and I wasn't that thrilled with E.J. Gaines. Look at how that turned out. My lone problem with McDermott & Co. is that we never had a viable back-up RB for LeSean McCoy. That has to change, and I believe it will. Most of us, if not, all of us did not expect to make the playoffs this season. Even if Cincinnati hadn't beaten Baltimore, I still would have been happy with the Bills season. I believe that this staff knows what they are doing, and I think they will make the right moves for us this off season.
  2. What does bread have to do with anything?
  3. Would that be in the vein of Dirk Diggler? "I am a star."
  4. Does Steven Hauschka's abilities at scoring field goals for us tie into this improved ranking as well?
  5. I remember that name, it's possible that's who it was.
  6. Glad I'm not the only one who remembers.
  7. No problem. If you had said that you've been busy tracking all the kids in Pop Warner Football, and making theories as to which High schools they will attend, thus leading to which Colleges they will sign their letter of intent too.....I think we would all believe you.
  8. Happy 20th Birthday! A big thank you to Scott for keeping this page going. I've met many great Bills fans on this board, and while I may not have been here since day 1, I did join in 1998, back in my AOL days. There have been some great times and lots of sorrowful and anguished times here too, but that's the appeal of this board. I come to this board every day, getting whatever Bills discussion or any kind of discussion I can be a part of. Lots of great memorable topics to look back on. One of my favorite "Off the Wall" topics was when we would discuss American Idol. There was one TBD'er who made the best and most creative critiques of that show. I wish i could remember who, but this person's posts were hilarious. I've enjoyed making the movie threads for everyone to check out and I appreciate all of your comments on them. I do miss ajzepp, and his adding to the mix. Then there are moments on this board that are more on the bizarre side. For me that was the discussion of "The Disappearance of Juror#8". I don't think that's what the thread was called, but I do remember that time. Nobody had any idea where Juror#8 had gone. Then months later, Juror#8 reappears, as if nothing had happened. 20 years of great and not-so-great memories, and I look forward to more years with all of you here at TBD. Especially since this upcoming season, I will be going to Buffalo for the first time in my life. So I will need all the suggestions and recommendations from everyone here. I have never been to a Bills home game, and I want to make it a time I will never forget. GO BILLS!!!!!
  9. A bit utopian? That's the freaking jackpot! If the Bills were able to get both Roquan Smith & Maurice Hurst..... I still think that getting Cousins is a long shot, though.
  10. Good to see you back, Blokes. Some of us were wondering where you had disappeared too.
  11. That would be great. However, I have a feeling that "Dunkirk" has become a forgotten movie. Despite it's great execution, storytelling, and artistic brilliance, it appears to have taken a backseat to movies like "The Shape of Water" and the overrated "Three Billboards".
  12. Call San Francisco, "The City". That's what most people in the Bay Area call it. Yes, Pleasanton is a good place. Some people refer to it as a suburb of Oakland, but that makes no sense to me since Oakland is a fair distance away. San Leandro, Alameda, Emeryville & even Berkeley are more like suburbs of Oakland. Whereas Pleasanton is a small city in the Alameda Foothills along with Livermore.
  13. I have not seen that movie, yet, but I am just as stunned. Best Picture? It's that good? Also "The Disaster Artist" got shunned, thanks to James Franco. "The Post" got hit hard, except for Meryl Streep's annual token nomination. "Hostiles", "Molly's Game" & "All the Money in the World" all practically ignored. "Money" got 1 nomination. I was thrilled to see "Logan" get a screenplay nomination. Too bad the academy didn't have the guts to nominate it for Best Picture, or "War For the Planet of the Apes". Contrary to popular belief, there are still great mainstream movies being made.
  14. So you saw Star Wars for the very first time, last year?
  15. Completely disagree with you on that part. Naomi Watts is beautiful.

  17. I wasn't a big fan of his, but my mom played his albums over and over that I got used to listening to him. I went to a concert of his once as a stand in for someone else, and I must admit that he knew how to put on an entertaining show. Very sad for him.
  18. Pleasanton is a nice area, you'll like it there. Commuting from there to San Francisco is going to be a hassle, especially with all of the bridges and tolls. Aside from that, Pleasanton is a very nice area. You will get some hot summer days there. Hope that doesn't bother you. Pleasanton also has a great county fair during the summer time, which includes live horse racing. I believe it is the oldest horse race track in California. Also, if you want to watch the Bills on game day with a group of Bills fans, you are more than welcome to join me with the San Jose Bills Backers. And if you are a hockey fan, the San Jose Sharks are here too.
  19. I did not expect to see Nick Foles have those kind of numbers tonight. Gotta hand it to him.
  20. You forget that referees can take those points away.
  21. He got his money....he can't feel that bad about it.
