That is one of the craziest games I have ever been to. I have never seen two untimed downs in a game before. Raiders fans were going out of their minds, of course. How stupid is Marshawn? The officials made some ridiculous calls. Smith & Carr were on fire, and I did not expect that much scoring in this game. Raiders needed that win badly, but I'm not afraid of them. We can beat anybody.

They booed Goodell in NYC. That all started because of the Lock Out year.

From what I remember, before the NFL implemented the current schedule rotation, they used a system that was based primarily off of "Strength of Schedule". I don't know how it all worked, but it was far more complicated than today's system. Eventually the NFL saw how absurd it was that Tampa Bay had never played a game in Buffalo. There were other reasons as well. At the time they came up with the new scheduling system, the Packers had not played the Redskins in Washington in 19 years, and Dan Marino & John Elway having played for so many years and in the same conference only played against each other about 5-6 times in the regular season. The original system was bizarre. I remember there was one season where the Giants & Lions played each other twice.

That leaves us with one spot open on the practice squad.

Harvey Weinstein has been notorious for buying lavish gifts to Academy members for years. I don't have a news article to back this up, but while at Miramax, Weinstein managed to get his companies movies over 120 Oscar nominations, and they would secure nearly 70 Oscar wins. Weinstein most of the time delivered, and I don't think that he only did it out of the kindness of his heart. It may not seem like much proof, but was "Shakespeare in Love" that much better than "Saving Private Ryan", or "Life is Beautiful"?

You make a good point. It goes to show that people want to be famous, no matter what they have to do to get it. It's well known that Ziyi Zhang slept her way to the top, and she's never denied it. This does not excuse Harvey Weinstein's disgusting behavior, it just shows that this part of Hollywood still exists. Gwyneth Paltrow can come forward now and talk about what happened between her and Weinstein. Yet I wonder, is she going to give back her Oscar? How else does she think she won it? Because of her acting skills?
