I understand what you mean, but for me I don't care about draft picks this year.
The Bills can win a championship this coming season. Get as many proven players as you can, and worry about draft picks in 2026.
For the Bills, the future is NOW!
The overreaction to rookie seasons is both laughable and maddening.
We all remember when people were saying how awful Eric Moulds was. More recently how terrible Spencer Brown and Terrel Bernard were. Now Dalton Kincaid and Keon Coleman are busts.
I get it, not all players work out, it happens. Some fans just refuse to let players develop and improve because they want instant all-pro success.
I know I already mentioned Cornell Green as a terrible player.
Other offensive linemen who were considerably worse than Lacina, were Mike Williams, Langston Walker, Derrick Dockery & Joe Panos.
Not understanding your disdain for Jones. He was a decent receiver.
That was the Bills "Boring Name" Offense.
Donald Jones
David Nelson
Scott Chandler
Fred Jackson
Ryan Fitzpatrick
Elam is nowhere near being one of the worst players ever for the Bills.
Flowers & Maybin are easy choices, and justified too.
For me, I'll go with someone that many have probably forgotten, with good reason. Cornell Green.
If the Bills choose not to sacrifice their draft picks in order to make a trade for a top defensive player in the league, then by all means trade up and get the best players you can from college.
Which is why I wish that they would announce it earlier. It would make it easier to plan ahead.
They can announce it earlier than May. They just want the spectacle of it. I remember when they used to announce the dates at the end of February, and it was in the newspaper.
