What the heck about Alex Smith?!?

Titans player test positive today 10/7
scribo replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The one problem I see with a forfeit is that the league already set a precedent by rescheduling the Steelers @ Titans. That was a big mistake. Tenny should have forfeited then. This can be remedied by canceling the rescheduling and just put two losses on the Titans record now. -
Should the Bills play the Broncos?

Did our coaching staff just drop the Titans game-plan and start working on Denver? -

If they forfeit Sunday's game, which is fair, they should also forfeit against the Steelers and not play to rescheduled date. -
Titans player test positive today 10/7

There is a requirement in the CBL that a team must have two days of practice between games. It is in there in case, such as this, a facility is closed or weather keeps players from being able to get to the facility. I am not sure if a team's players are able to waive that, but I don't think so. Not sure if practicing on Saturday is an option for a Sunday game. -
Stephon Gimore tests positive for Covid
scribo replied to boco357's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wow! That photo is something given this morning's news. Neither player should have let that moment happen. It is my understanding that it takes more than a moment of exposure to transmit it, but if not...the league is about to lose its coverboy for a couple weeks. And the NFL cannot write the memo fast enough banning postgame handshakes or any interaction. -
Week 5: Bills at Titans on Tuesday Night Football

Move Tennessee to Tuesday. Move Kansas City to Sunday night. -
Titans player test positive today 10/7

The only issue I see is that the Titans likely won't have the two days of practice required. Unless they count Saturday. Now they won't be able to get into their facility until Friday, at the earliest. -

Very difficult on the game planning front. It isn't as simple as rerouting a flight and changing hotel reservations. Both teams would be in the same boat, so it is fair, but I'd expect sloppy football. -
Membership Assessment of AJ Klein
scribo replied to Momma Pecoraro's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If there is a need for a FA signing of defense, it is LB not DT, at this point. With Millano hurt again, there may be some candidates getting that Zoom call today. Dodson not Klein needs to be the next man up if Milano cannot go or goes down again. -
Allen has stopped running??? Any reason
scribo replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It wasn't until yesterday did it really, really sink into my thick skull that we no longer need Josh to run it on every must-have third down. It is such great progress that our offense now forces any and every defense to play us honestly. And, maybe in a game against KC or the Pats*, Allen will be able to actually surprise someone again when he snaps off an important 50-yard play with his legs. -
Trust the process.

A lot of fans know but don't like to hear and really see what happens in the heat of football battle. I get it.

Having a stellar, young left side of the offensive line will be a major asset moving forward. -
QB Derek Carr 'sick of losing' after Bills loss
scribo replied to inthebuff's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hatred of losing is a hallmark in most uber-competitive people. I'd bet every NFL QB has it. So him being "sick of losing" is a good thing. Now it is how does he handle his sick feeling? Does he find a way to work harder, leader better and elevate his team's play? Or does he burnout and eventually lose his job or his "love for the game?" -
Houston is 0-4 and Miami owns their 1st & 2nd round picks
scribo replied to Peace Frog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Houston is empty-handed in a deep hole O'Brien unwittingly dug, and no one is going to throw them a rope for a long time. -
Suited up for Vegas - "Name that Player"

The Bills PR team, especially their social media crew, is absolutely top-notch. I am sure they read this, the best of the best Bills fans message boards. On the flip side, has anyone checked out of the dumpster fire that is the Jests' official Twitter account? They posted a poll Thursday asking fans if they thought the Jets would hit the over on rushing yards on TNF. The line was less than 70 yards! The fans voted about 80% "no." -
Gameday PreGame Thread Bills @ Raiders
scribo replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
With the length of the season potentially in question, every game just became more important. So glad to see nearly every injured Bill is off the shelf and will hopefully contribute to a big victory today. GO BILLS! -

A Saints player just tested positive for COVID
scribo replied to bills6969's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Anyone know about airplanes? In particular, is it possible the Saints' chartered flight, which was on a United 777-200/ER, has some sort of air filtration system that would make it less likely to spread the virus throughout the cabin than might occur on a normal commercial flight? By the way, the Bills flew Delta yesterday. -
Nine in the box on D. Run it all day long on O. I know we like to what we like to do regardless of who we are playing. But the Raiders' injuries and glaring weak spots must be exploited.
