  1. #3 I'll be surprised if we see Woods on ST much longer. As has been mentioned in other threads, give Woods tweo years at most, he's be a true #1, which is fine as having Stevie as a #2 would be stronger than most teams #8 I think the problem is the TV crews aren't use to the speed the Bill's a running plays and are too busy showing replays or showing hot women i nthe stands to be ready for the next play. I noticed the same thing in a coupel of the pre-season games too. #13 Agree Kiko is looking good.
  2. Actually that was the one thing that scared me. Granted with 1:30 you can take a chance with more underneath stuff but I was screaming at the TV, to throw it down the field a little further, maybe 15 to 20 yards or so.
  3. But that's part of the problem, the ref can't look at a tape and decide if it was pre or post kick. Was very close, likely he first engaged the offensive lineman prior to kicking but then by the time he threw him to the ground was post kick. But since he first contacted him before the kick was probably the correct call. In normal plays the rule makes sense to prevent a defensive lineman from dragging the o-lineman to the ground and have someone else run through the hole. I've see the call made a couple of times on punts, but not very often. Also see nit called on a loose ball where a lineman holds onto another player to prevent tnat player from recovering the loose ball.
  4. Having trouble using my left/right/up/down buttons on the ST mix channel 702, they don't work at all, when I go to 702, the "active" channel doesn't highlight either which is the really the casue of why the arrow buttons aren't working. I recall having this same problem last year too and someone gave me a tip how to get the mix channel working properly. Any suggestions??
  5. To bad NFC east isn't playing AFC east, would like to see how BB matches up against him, give him a few weeks of tape to watch, see what he does.
  6. I heard them state 12 men on the field, maybe it was ref making announcement over his mic, but heard it from someone. 12 men on field
  7. I think I'd question the spelling on that one. I'm not sure how a torn labia would effect throwing?? http://www.healthboards.com/boards/sexual-health-women/909147-painfully-visibly-torn-labia.html
  8. Same thing, the OP stated he's be a free agent after 2015 season which is in 2016. Only questions is about the player option after 2014 season, which could make him a free agent March 2015
  9. What really gets me about the 1st down chains is they bring the chains out and measure within +/- one link whether they got the first down or not. Mean while when they first set the sticks on 1st down, how do they know they weren't six inches off to start with. Why worry about an inch at the end when you have no idea where you started from. They may have only gone 9 1/2 yards to get the first, so why worry about an inch now. As for QB robots, think Stepford wives! I've been promoting that for years!
  10. Not sure I'd call paying 125% next season using every word to their advantage?? I don't have time or energy to fully research this, but I'm sure there are alot more of these situations going on with other teams as well but you don't follow it as much. Teams that keep losing you see it happen on more. Start winning and likely the number of players wanting out the door will decrease. And the other thing to do is stop signing players that are represented by Parker. I do think at some point, that may become a league wide trend as his tactics will grow old league wide.
  11. CBS is broadcasting tennis at 4:00 so they don't want any late games this week. If you have two sites that you're confident will sell out, so no blackouts, two is plenty. Granted nicer for ST folks to have more choices, but recall other weeks were like that too.
  12. I'll see your poster boy and raise you one. To me the ultimate flop was Donte Green. I think he was even a bigger flop.
  13. Hot Dog Ted's Andersen's is a good place for a Beef on Weck, nothing fancy there I live in NC now myself so do miss good wings, they all suck down here!
  14. Why, out of the 53 they can only activate what is it 45 or 47?? Later on in the season as people get hurt, the extra bodies come in handy, but if you know right now today, baring an injury this week in practice who the 45 are that are going to be active on Sunday, why bother adding a couple more players only to be in-active. Likely even the most seasoned vet they sign today would be questionable whether they activate him by Sunday anyway, So as others have pointed out, wait until after first game to add a couple more and see what injuries may happen. I do recall the Lawyer Milloy signing, but unless there's a player out there at that level, he likely wouldn't play anyway this coming Sunday.
  15. I do wonder why this arrangement came about?? Is it that RW likes playing a game every other year in Detroit, relives childhood memories?? Feels he's giving something back to Detroit??
  16. Update us on how you make out with Center Ice. Likely if you had waited the two weeks and called then for both ST and Center Ice you'd have got it, but now that you signed the one year contract, the leverage shifts back to them. I made a similar mistake a year ago, once they had my "money" much less generious on the offers.
  17. Not quite that simple, the latest CBA requires something like a 25% increase to any player franchised in consecutive years t ostop teams from doing this. Basically they are saying you have one year to work it out or move on. The amount was even in the paper the other day and stated that because of this big amount it's not likely he'd get tagged again. So either you sign him long term, trade him, or the Bill's are content with him walking.
  18. You must be referring to the Bill's games!! NFL could be using Google just to bid up what DTV offers, will it work, who knows?? I would not be happy if it went back to cable as doubt you'd get all the offers that you get from DTV. To me that's the biggest difference between the two, when cable offers you a deal, they give you $10 off, when DTV gives you a deal they'll knock of $50. Can't see why cable would offer a big amount of money to outbid Google as they can let Google have it, then start charging big premiums for downloading the stream. You can buy a bluRay player or a Roku for $60 to stream the games, that's like one months of cable/DTV bill
  19. Well the good news is over the next two weeks or so, likely will get a much better idea on Jeff Tuel's abilities which likely could be a good thing. He won't be playing against 3rd stringers at least 2nd and maybe some 1st teams. While I agree EJ has looked very good for a rookie and likely would have started as was pointed out, it's unlikely the Bill's were going to the super bowl this season or even the playoffs, So sitting a watching a couple of weeks may not be a terrible thing either. In situations like this you sometimes can learn more from watching, viewing real game tape and practicing more. Yes I know there have been more rookie QB's coming in right away and playing well, three of note last year were Wilson, RG3, and Luck. In all three cases though I do think the team around him was a little better than what we have here so again easier to look good.
  20. I suppose you could take a chance, if EJ is going to be the starter, sit Kolb down, tell him EJ is the starter, you're making too much to be the backup. You got your signing bonus, now we want to renego your contract. Or tell him, we're cutting you, but will bring you back again with a reduced contract. The Bill''s are taking a chance someone else may sign him, but they may be willing to take risk. I think the Bill's would like him around, but maybe at less money if he's the backup.
  21. Here's one other thought, the broadcast teams need to learn they can't keep showing replays during Bills games as too often you'll be missing the next play. How many times today did that happen, half dozen maybe?? PS I was watching on NFL network, not sure if Western NY got that feed or another local one??
  22. Assuming EJ becomes the starter and Tuell is a decent backup, you want a vet presence that the two rookies can go to. Unless you can find someone with ample experience, comes much cheaper, and would somehow know the offense, I'd think you keep him just to help EJ develop. I think his presence off the field may be needed more than on the field
  23. And you know this how?? Do you have inside information?? I'm assuming no, and that your rational for your statement is that you didn't hear any stories about the Bill's making offers. OK fair argument, but also fair to say that in most cases rarely do teams make statements either way, about progress or lack there of. Most often the leaks come from agents trying to push something. The other reasonable argument is there's no sense making an offer when miles apart. Maybe the Bill's did make an intial offer was countered with something still miles apart, so the Bill's figured wait until he either comes down in price to what they felt was a reasonable amount, or if he can get that amount of money, great for him, but we're not over paying. It's kind of like when buying a house, there are a number of houses in the neighborhood selling for say $200k. There's one house you saw, it's a little nicer than the others, maybe worth $215 or so, but the owner is asking for like $260. so you offer $210, hoping that if they were to come back at say $225, you're close and can probably work it out. But instead, they come back with $255. At that point, you probably put them on ignore and move on, maybe hoping they will get reasonable, but you're not going to overpay either. You also don't know what he asked from the Bill's, what they countered with and compare that against what he eventually signed for. Teams will never let that out, but would be interesting to see. But when you have a coach that knows he has to win that year or likely be fired, you roll the dice and keep the players. Going into training camp last year with the off-season moves they made, it was a reasonable argument that the Bill's may have made the playoffs or at least had been in the mix, so again you don't trade players like AL when you as a team think you are close to making playoffs for draft picks which is likely the best thing you'd get as opposed to players. Assuming Al wanted out of Buffalo as was tired of the losing, all of a sudden you make the playoffs or come real close, maybe you demands drop as you decide staying here may be a good thing as the team appears to have turned the corner. That could also support the argument that he made a crazy high offer figuring Buffalo wouldn't agree, he plays out the year and see how the team does. If they do well, his price comes down to a reasonable amount and resigns, if not then easy to move on.
