Divisional Round SATURDAY: Bengals at Titans, 4:30 on CBS

Titans have their entire offensive weaponry, correct? Henry, Brown, and Jones, don’t know how many games they’ve all played together, but the Titans at full strength are a (physical) problem. -
Divisional Round: Buffalo at KC Sunday at 6:30

I get so tiiiiiirre hearing Chiefs fans say they’re a totally different team from earlier in the season but will then mention in the same breath how the Bills lost to the Jaguars. How many weeks ago was that? They add Chris Jones and Melvin Ingram this time, but subtract Rashad Fenton. We add Harrison Phillips and Matt Milano, but subtract Tre White. Given the Chiefs inconsistencies all year, most recently against the Broncos, despite what their fans want to believe, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Bills go into Arrowhead and again win by double digits. I’m going with a score of 30-21 though, in a game that feels like it should’ve been a bigger Bills victory. -
I want more speed on the defensive side of the ball too, particularly in the front 7. Micah Parsons ran an ungodly 4.36 and has the instincts to boot, so he plays that fast. Sadly a player that dynamic won’t be around at #32. But a heat seeking missle at LB, a speed DE, or a big ugly disruptor like Jordan Davis is what I want.

Are coaches always to blame - McD, Frazier & Daboll?

He also snuck the ball to the wrong gap - the one the Titans said they were advised he always sneaks to. If you look at the overhead shot of the play, if he sneaks behind the right guard he may barrel in for a TD. The left side was far too bunched up, 2 players within centimeters of each other and the player on the end was arguably their best DL. -

I’ve noticed the Chiefs social media team isn’t putting out any instagram posts or tweets they’ll later regret this time. All is mum over there… 🤐 -
Post-Beatdown Belichick Locker Room Visit?
Brand J replied to NoHuddleKelly12's topic in The Stadium Wall
Anyone remember that report about Belichick scoffing at the notion that Allen was an MVP candidate last season? To that point in the season, the Bills had played the Pats once and barely won thanks to Cam’s fumble. Allen had never really had great success against Bill, but after that report (I think by Simms), he came out and really carved up the Pats in the 38-9 victory on their turf. I think Belichick’s feelings on Allen as a player and QB have changed drastically since that specific game. -

I wonder, from a physical or skill standpoint, besides deep ball accuracy, what does Mahomes have over Allen? Field vision? I think they’re similar there. Anticipation/throwing receivers open? Slight edge Mahomes? What else? -

Post-Beatdown Belichick Locker Room Visit?

Would be interesting to know if the majority of the team was there and if he addressed them in a cheerleader-like fashion, “this is your time, bring it home for the east,” or if he only spoke with McD/Allen/Daboll. -

They’re extremely fortunate they didn’t lose that last regular season game against the Broncos too. I thought they were thoroughly outplayed. -

I just don’t get why teams don’t line up a DE over Kelce and jam him at the line when he’s lined up off tackle. Disrupt their timing. He torched the Bills last year and Frazier never adjusted. He was just allowed to run unimpeded down after down. -

I didn’t look up the stats to confirm my suspicions, but I feel Melvin Ingram has always terrorized the Bills whenever we went against him, back to his days with the Chargers. He got the better of Dawkins in week 1 this year, but Dawkins is a different player now than he was then. Bills OL vs Chiefs DL will determine the outcome of the game. -
I remember a few reports coming out of camp that Vallejo was ahead of Milano. Also remember thinking “maybe we got the 6th round pick right and the 5th rounder wrong.” Went digging to see if I could find anything about it and came across Joe B’s observation: At the time, Joe B wasn’t the only one reporting Vallejo was ahead.

I’d like to see a nice, double digit come from behind victory. We almost got that with the Bucs game. Aside from that, just the ice water, clutch gene that Jordan and Brady seem to have. It’s a bit of recency bias because he had those throws last year against the Rams, Dolphins, & Cards, but this year he’s oh-fer.

Going back and watching the highlights of that week 5 game, Mahomes ran all over the place, often in key situations. Leslie Frazier will have his work cut out for him in this one. The offensive line will as well, as this may be the best defensive line we’ll likely see for the rest of the postseason. -

Chris Jones and Melvin Ingram weren’t there when we beat them earlier in the season, so you add in Frank Clark and Spag’s aggressive blitzes and I hope Daboll is coming up with a plan that relies on screens, slants, and other quit hitters. They’re not going to give Josh time to throw.
