  1. What does that have to do with what I posted?
  2. Supposedly Green Bay is very interested in him as a potential replacement for Adams.
  3. We are in the heyday. Enjoy the feeling.
  4. They have been eying safeties in the pre-draft process. This will almost certainly be the last year of having the Poyer/Hyde combination in the backfield - one or both of them will be on a new team in 2023.
  5. While I agree with that point, I also found it unseemly to hear McD waxing about “fairness” when asked about the proposed (now approved) new OT rules. Come on, brah, handle your business. Tomlin’s answer was much better. A defensive coach like McD shouldn’t need to (1) invest so many resources (high picks and cap dollars) into his side of the ball, and (2) appeal to “fairness” after he couldn’t execute a JV defensive strategy to seal what would’ve been the most important win for the franchise in 30 years.
  6. But at the very least you’d expect him to dominate lower-level competition he played against and he didn’t even do THAT. Twice the risk, really.
  7. He will be 23 when the season starts. The history of senior WRs transitioning to the NFL is littered with busts. Would be a very risky pick in Round 1.
  8. Oh so THIS he's privy to?
  9. Dotson is the guy I’d want. You’d be adding Desean Jackson in his prime. Offense would be borderline unstoppable.
  10. Saying something is true, when it's really not true, is HILARIOUS. You people don't understand comedy.
  11. Can we kick the messenger in the face?
  12. Wagner has lost a step and doesn’t sack QBs. Stupid contract.
  13. What’s the trade-in value on a beat-up Ford these days?
  14. Good stewardship on his part. Congrats to Bowles. Also: the Tampa Bay offseason is confusing to me. Like a soap opera from a foreign country.
  15. #1 defense in the NFL with a lead and 13 seconds on the clock - should not need a rule change to close that out. Sorry to be that guy (but you all expect it from me anyhow so...)
  16. Guess Kromer sees him as a fit.
  17. At the end of the day they have to trust their evals. They’ve had more time with Bates than anyone. They know what his strengths and weaknesses are and they should be able to determine what he’s worth within a reasonable range. They can’t listen to me and get spooked by their misevaluations of Ford, Teller, Spain, Creed, etc. - they need to maintain discipline and stick to their process. It’s frustrating as fans because they keep screwing up the position but it won’t help to compound the problem by wildly overpaying based upon an outsider’s willingness to pay a certain price.
  18. Okay but will they eat the salary with blue cheese or ranch?
  19. Would just be floored if Hamilton falls that far - he may be the best player in the draft. I know safeties aren’t good investments that high but still… someone is going to pull the trigger on him in the top six or seven I have to believe.
  20. I could see the Jets turning to him as a consolation prize after missing out on Hill.
