  1. Edmunds’ head is spinning already tonight.
  2. Ok but throwing 1 yard passes to Knox and Gilliam isn’t exactly scrambling the Chiefs’ game plan.
  3. Dane is a disaster tonight. Major offseason need.
  4. This is what I’m expecting from the Chiefs. Lots of blitzing and press coverage to try to force mistakes.
  5. Saw an interesting mock draft this week that had the Bills taking Jameson Williams who may slide to 32 because of his ACL tear. If they could somehow add a playmaker of the Deebo mold, their offense would become borderline unstoppable and they’ll have little need for vets with dead legs.
  6. Why does Jimmy think he can throw those outs to the right? He cannot.
  7. Check out the article I linked to.
  8. There’s a whole story behind it!
  9. I’ve never seen a QB fail to rise to the occasion as often as Jimmy G. He’s not terrible but he saves his worst throws for the most critical moments of games.
  10. Somehow missed this article during the regular season. Anonymous front office execs were polled by ESPN about the most analytically-minded franchises and Buffalo ranked as the 3rd highest level of analytical work product. Dennis Lock, the Bills’ Director of Football Research and Strategy, got a call-out as someone who might get a big front office job some day. Thought this was really interesting considering Beane and Schoen basically built the analytics program from scratch when they got here. And it’s a reason Schoen was such an attractive GM candidate for a team like the Giants after their Stone Age approach to team-building under Gettleman. Anyhow, apologies if this was posted back in the fall, if so I just missed it and thought it was worth a thread given Schoen’s departure.
  11. Exactly where I was - sure that the organization would ruin any chance he had to make it. They hadn't really developed a single player in 20 years, except maybe Kyle. And every time they went "against the grain" it blew up in their faces. I wanted someone pro-ready because I was convinced they'd fumble the snap. Never been happier about being wrong.
  12. He’s Phil Mickelson’s nephew’s neighbor.
  13. https://www.footballoutsiders.com/film-room/2022/bills-diverse-run-game-problem-playoffs "The Bills did not have the benefit of that kind of variability on offense for most of the year. Josh Allen being a cyborg with a crew of good pass-catchers was more than enough to put together an effective offense anyway, but it was clear that a portion of the team's volatility could be chalked up to an uninspired run game. They did not have that weapon in their arsenal for most of the year. That doesn't look to be an issue anymore."
  14. Nope - I asked you what you think the REASON is. Answer the question and stop playing games.
  15. Why don’t you come out and say what you think the reason for the difference is? Or are you just asking an innocent question for others to weigh in on?
  16. The point was to stir the pot and then sit back and claim plausible deniability “Who, moi?”, he’s been doing this for years.
  17. Contrast it with Josh’s throw to Sanders. Basically the same throw from the same distance. Pats were in 2 deep instead of single high so in theory they should’ve been in even better position to defend that throw, but Allen makes the defense respect every inch of the field and so somehow Sanders was wide open.
  18. Prior to his injury he was throwing downfield at a historic rate. Here is a good article explaining that the problem is his failure to operate within the structure of the offense. Roman’s bizarre and sloppy passing concepts aren’t helping him, as you’ll see from those clips. Same thing happened here with Tyrod- but that didn’t stop you from crusading that he was the problem.
  19. He can throw the 20 yard out just fine, I don’t know where you’re getting that. It’s just false.
  20. What do INTs have to do with his throwing ability?
  21. Ryan I know you don’t really follow football but Lamar doesn’t have any issues with arm strength, and his off-platform throws are top five league wide. I’m giving you a pass because you don’t actually watch the games.
  22. ^^^ And again, this is exactly what the OP invited and incited. Not falling for the “I’m just asking questions!” routine. “I’m just flashing the OK sign!” Plausible deniability. We’ve seen this act before. The seeds were sewn and the message was sent and the predictable soldiers have arrived to air their grievances. This was never a football thread.
  23. So, let's break that down a bit. Folks keep saying "he's not a great passer." He can make every single throw. He can make sidearm throws that few others can make. He can throw it on a rope; he can wrist-flick it downfield with ease. He IS a great passer - or at least a great thrower. He's not Tim Tebow (talk about a real media darling, there). He's far more than just a running QB. That said - can he run the offense within its structure? That's the issue I think they're struggling with. Huntley came in and ran the offense pretty well - in some ways perhaps better than Jackson had. In terms of electricity, playing outside of the structure and overcoming a bad play call, no one in the league is better at those things than Lamar Jackson. But it is TBD on whether he can actually run that offense, or any offense, within its true structure - which he'll need to be able to do if they're going to take the next step with him. None of this, of course, has anything to do with his injury. I STILL do not understand why that was the angle of the OP. Multiple posters have explained why a bone bruise is serious business. A couple folks raised the good point that what happened in Cleveland is basically Worst Case Scenario, rushing a young QB back from injury when he's clearly not 100% and asking him to carry your team and then having him face-plant. Don'treally see the media beating up on Baker for playing hurt - most takes seem to be criticizing the team for putting him in that position, with plenty of folks saying that he sucks even when he's healthy. But the whispered view that perhaps Lamar is getting a "pass" for bailing on his team with a boo-boo is not something that has any traction, anywhere.
  24. ^^^ There it is. The real reason this thread was created. Oh please. You know exactly what you're doing by this point. You've wormed through the substratum separating this forum from PPP to start threads like this one.
