  1. THERE IT IS. I just won TSW Bingo!
  2. Reminds me of Austin Ekeler.
  3. Perfect fit for this offense. Great signing.
  4. Edmunds Thread Trigger Alert!
  5. It seems like “13 Seconds” has become a Rorschach Test around here… either you think the roster had everything it needed to win that game and would’ve gone on to win the Super Bowl, so there’s nothing wrong with “running it back,” or you think they were 1-2 difference makers away from getting it done and should be aggressively trying to find that missing piece. I fall into the second category. The thing is, Beane’s post-season PC indicated he did too - he talked about needing to add speed and YAC to the offense, improving the pass rush, etc. - maybe you can find all of that later on in free agency or in the draft. Let’s hope he does. But at some point you cannot be content with just staying put, other teams are aggressively trying to improve, too, and we need to stay in the arms race to stay on top. The offense needs more weapons, the secondary needs more speed, and the pass rush needs a closer - I cannot get excited about changing out veteran DTs and guards on Day 1 of free agency. Go get the real difference-makers and let’s win this thing.
  6. Wow I just read that they’re moving to a 3-4… so are they expecting Harry to play a traditional nose tackle role anchoring the 3-4? That is asking a lot IMO…
  7. Yup, that’s what I’m saying. But his legacy will be measured in Lombardis and if he squanders that franchise QB’s legacy by running the team like a used car dealership on Sheridan, history won’t judge him kindly.
  8. TBH in retrospect he maybe was not a good draft pick. Using a third-rounder on a low-ceiling 1T leads to problems because those guys are easy to find and therefore difficult to justify paying.
  9. Beane got us a QB. The rest of his work has been Guntekustesque. Hey I just won TSW scrabble!
  10. I’m shocked that your computer wasn’t confiscated after the last thread you started.
  11. Lost a guard, signed a guard. Lost a DT, signed a DT. The other DT (Settle), if you squint enough it’s basically the Quinton Jefferson scouting report from 2020. The OBD personnel guys are water-treading Olympians.
  12. They can run the same popgun offense with either QB.
  13. Edmunds Thread Trigger Alert!
  14. The Jets just re-signed Berrios for 2 years $12M. Better receiver than Mac and can also return kicks. Would've much preferred that signing.
  15. They are run like a used car dealership. Gotta hit those Q1 numbers boys!
  16. Beane specifically said he wants to add a YAC-monster to the offense. I don't think re-signing MacKenzie accomplishes that objective. Landry isn't that, either.
  17. Not the speed element I've been hoping for. Great run blocker though.
  18. Their potential solution at RT just hit the market…
  19. Yup. He's heavy-footed and doesn't fit what they want to do. Expect Cody Ford to follow him off the roster, perhaps by trade.
  20. Here ya go. "If the Bills move on from Williams, it could also signal that they would like to use more zone blocking principles. New offensive line coach Aaron Kromer, who most recently worked under Sean McVay with the Rams — an offense known for those principles. A zone blocking scheme favors athleticism ahead of power, needing the linemen to adapt and get to the second-level quickly or move off their spot to protect their area. Unfortunately, these are not Williams’ strengths. He is more of a power blocker with heavier feet than the rest of the offensive line. It’s also not McDermott’s first time hiring someone with a zone-blocking background. His first offensive coordinator hire, Rick Dennison, spent almost his entire career with Mike Shanahan. As a defensive coach, McDermott likely believes those offenses are extremely difficult to defend."
  21. Not a surprise at all actually. Doesn't fit Kromer's preferred scheme. Joe B did a good write up on this.
  22. I get the sense Beane is the type of guy who has stubbornly worn the same pair of jeans nearly every day for the past 25 years. “They’re falling apart, sure, and they haven’t been in style ever, but they’re so durn comfortable I just don’t see why I’d ever part with ‘em!”
