Then you would know it's not a "king's ransom". It's going rate for that type of move. Check the charts. It's one thing to not want to do something. It's another to say that it's not fair market value.
If you think that's a kings ransom to move up and grab a possible Franchise QB in a good QB year - than you just haven't been paying close enough attention.
I think the compensation is close. But we'll need to throw in a 2 next year. And I think it's going to have to be two separate trades. 12, 53, 65 to Indy for #6.
Then 6, 22, and a 2nd in '19 to NYG for #2.
For a little while there after the Cordy trade up - this place was palatable. Now i'm feeling like I should stay away until Draft Day. I can't stand the 'don't trade up' crowd. And they've gotten really high and mighty since the Jets trade up.
I agree 100% So much of our WR's lack of production stemmed from a crazy hesitant QB in Tyrod Taylor.
KB is our WR1. Period. And don't forget we have very good pass catchers in Shady and Clay.
Regardless of how anyone feels about Zay after last season - they traded up in Round 2 to get him. No team gives up on an investment like that after one bad (injured) rookie season.
Andre Holmes is as good as you're going to get at WR4. And anyone beyond that would be a Brandon Reilly type.
Just need one speed WR. DJ Chark would be great. But I don't know how to make a trade up for a QB and him happen.
I don't like the timing of it. The day after Rosen's pro day. I'm afraid it sends a message that's their guy. And I really don't want him in any other colors than Blue and Red.
Jerry Hughes will benefit greatly from the arrivals of Star Lotulelei and Trent Murphy. And like they said through Carucci - we need all the DE help we can get.
We're not in the position to be ousting a talent like Jerry Hughes right now.
First of all - Beane said we're done as far as anything that would "make the ticker". Terelle Pryor would definitely constitute as newsworthy.
Secondly - how the hell do you jump to Terelle Pryor when it comes to teammates of Trent Murphy that he'd room with?
@RyanTalbotBills: Update: Source says talks with Bills have concluded. “He’s going where he feels wanted and returning home to the #Bengals.”
Woo hoo!
Thank you (again) Bengals! Good riddance JAG Brown. Your snippiness through the FA process was unnecessary.
I love all of that. Except Preston Brown and Deonte Thompson. The only players worth re-signing are Kyle Williams (done) and Leonard Johnson. Brown and Thompson are both JAG and should be factored into the Comp formula as losses.
