  1. Shut down Jamal Williams? Where do I sign?
  2. I just don't understand this mentality. Even the great Patriots could have been criticized for something years ago. "To be negative.......", why in the blue friggin' hell would you want to do that?! We beat an AFC offensive scoring machine that made mince meat out of the Pats last week and you want to be negative? I feel like i'm taking crazy pills!
  3. I'd say that Donte Whitner would deserve a nod. But I think it would be difficult given the star power of guys like Troy Polamalu and Ed Reed. Lee Evans should also deserve some consideration given the fact that he's #7 in receiving stats and 5 of the 6 ahead of them are in the NFC (one of which a TE). Also going by stats, Trent would deseve at least some consideration with him being #10 in QB stats with Jay Cutler, Philip Rivers, and Brett Favre being the only QB's ahead of him from the AFC. Brett is a given, but TE's undefeated record against Cutler and Rivers could cause him to push one of them out. But, Peyton Manning might get the nod above all of them on name alone. I also think that Roscoe Parrish would end up being the AFC's punt return specialist.
  4. I'd grade him at a B While he wasn't as productive in solo situations as last week, he still managed to deflect two passes. I was also watching him and he was disruptive enough at the line to free others. Like the Kyle Williams sack at the end. The Jags had to use to lineman on him during that play (and pretty much did all game).
  5. From the looks of it, you're pretty drunk right now
  6. Good video. ...... but we just cut him. He wasn't resigned to the Practice Squad. Felton Huggins was the only WR we assigned to the squad.
  7. 1.) Demetrius Bell will make the roster regardless of anything. 2.) Costanzo over Donnie Spragan? Um, no. 3.) With Stroud, Johnson, McCargo, and Williams; I don't think we need Jason Jefferson taking up a roster spot. 4.) I think Copeland Bryan makes the roster.
  8. So, I was looking at our roster and setting up what I thought (so far) would be my ideal 53 man roster. I noticed that TE and CB are pretty tight. Robert Royal (as mediocre as he has been) is one of the captains of this team. He obviously stays. Derek Schouman has shown promise in both games and practice. He also has climbed up the depth chart. He stays. Derek Fine is a 4th Round rookie who has looked good as well. You can't risk putting him on the practice squad, so he'll need to be on the active roster. Then you have Courtney Anderson. We just signed him as a UFA and have plans for him. You wouldn't think we'd cut him. But with us shying away from the H-Back experiment and us having Darian Barnes taking up a roster spot at FB, keeping 4 TE's on the active roster seems unlikely to me. But who do you cut? Ashton Youboty. I was a big fan of his coming out of college and he was all but written off by everyone as early as a month ago. It's unfortunate that personal issues caused such a stunt in his growth as a player. Last year, he was a glorified rookie. This year, would be his chance to shine. But we drafted McKelvin (as well as Corner) and signed Will James, all but sealing his fate. But the guy has stepped up huge. He has looked impressive in camp and he put on a show during the last game. I would be very surprised if we cut or traded him. I don't think he's giving us a chance for that to be an option at this point. Especially when you consider that Jabari Greer is a UFA next season. So you have T-McGee, MC Kelvin, Shake Youboty, Jabari Greer, and Reggie Corner. In my opinion, they all have to be on the roster. You generally don't keep more than 5 CB's on the active roster. Especially, if you're keeping 5 safeties (Whitner, Simpson, Scott, Wilson, Wendling all require spots on this team). Kennard Cox is a glorified UDFA at where he was selected, in my opinion. If he impresses, he could get a practice squad spot at best. I don't consider him for an active roster spot. But then there's Will James as well at CB. It wouldn't make much sense for him to be cut right? Tricky, tricky decisions at both positions i'd say.
  9. From BB.com's article "Bills react to Favre": "I couldn't care about something any less," said Bills fullback and former Jet Darian Barnes. "We play against great quarterbacks all the time. We play (Tom) Brady twice. It's just another great quarterback. I respect the man, but I just don't care." PWNED!
  10. I don't know if this belongs here or not. I apologize if it belongs elsewhere and needs to be moved. But I had two tickets for tonights practice that I misplaced (or were taken by sceevy friends). I was wondering if anyone had two extra tickets that could be e-mailed to me or picked up somewhere? Any help would be appreciated. My e-mail is RochesterRox19 (at) yahoo.com Thanks!
  11. I'll admit, I didn't know much about Steve Johnson when we took him in Round 7. But upon doing some research, he has some pretty impressive numbers in his one year as a starter after sitting on the bench as a Junior transfer, spending his first two years in a JUCO school. http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingr...evejohnson.html I use NFLDC for my draft needs. I found this thread that was started before the draft and everyone seems to be really high on the guy. http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/forum/sho...ead.php?t=16481 With his ties to one of the leaders of our team (Marshawn) and his talent/size, I wouldn't be surprised if our little 7th round pick made a big splash.
  12. As well as Roscoe Parrish I take it?
  13. Yeah and we could offer Indy the 12th pick overall, as well as part ownership of the team for Peyton Manning. ..... doesn't mean it's going to happen.
  14. The site I always go by lists him as an Unrestricted Free Agent. It could be wrong though. But it's generally pretty reliable. http://www.footballsfuture.com/2007/nfl/freeagentsDB.html
  15. Don't be surprised to see Nick Harper
  16. Hunt will most likely not fall any further than the top of Round 3. He looked very good at the Senior Bowl. But honestly, I thought Kenny Irons was more impressive during the workout week and in the game. Nobody talks about him though because he only took a few carries since the South was playing catchup all game.
  17. He's got some character concerns though. Something about Jamie Lee Curtis.....
  18. That f'ing NFL Network.
  19. I will be too. Even though I have to go to my Grandfather's house to watch it because it's on NFL Network I'll be watching the following players closely: Amobi Okoye, DT Louisville Patrick Willis, MLB Ole Miss Levi Brown, OT Penn State Johnnie Lee Higgins, WR UTEP Kenny Irons, RB Auburn Aaron Ross, CB Texas Justin Blalock, OG Texas Tony Ugoh, OT Arkansas DeMarcus "Tank" Tyler, DT North Carolina State Joe Staley, OT Central Michigan Dwayne Bowe, WR LSU Brian Leonard, FB Rutgers Leon Hall, CB Michigan Manuel Ramierez, OG Texas Tech Jordan Palmer, QB UTEP
  20. Yeah, it would be difficult for Alan Branch to be participating in the Senior Bowl being a Junior and all.
  21. With the way Denney played and with Hargrove emerging, I don't think it would be the end of the world if he wasn't retained. But I think calling him our 4th best DE is pushing it. He is the #2 DE on our team, luckily the other two aren't far behind.
  22. How about Travis Henry? He plead no contest to a sexual charge with a 15 year old and was suspended for marijuana use after we traded him.
  23. I really think Jeff Samardzija from Notre Dame is the perfect fit for Buffalo. He's a BIG, strong, physical WR that doesn't rely on speed but gets the job done anyways. However, he is a two sport guy and seems intent on playing both Baseball (for the Chicago Cubs) and NFL football. Combine this with the fact that it's a VERY deep WR class and Samardzija; a guy with 1st Round talent, may fall as late as the 3rd Round. Given these circumstances what are your thoughts of Jeff Samardzija lineing up with Lee Evans and Roscoe Parrish?
  24. I'm a big fan of Rice personally. He's the #4 WR on my board behind Johnson, Jarrett, and Ginn. I think he'd be a good fit for Buffalo as the #2 WR. Since this is a deep WR class, 1st Round talent like Rice may be available in the 2nd. A big concern with him is that he only played 2 years of college ball.
  25. Neither, I don't see how either of them are much of an upgrade from the "Price/Reed/Davis: #3 WR's battling for a #2 position connection".
