  1. With all of our WR's healthy and injuries elsewhere - it's a bit of a head scratcher to activate Jake Kumerow this week. Though I am interested to see him play. Will they have 7 active WR's on gameday or does someone take a seat?
  2. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Vic Beasley more of 3-4 Pass Rushing OLB than a 4-3 OLB?
  3. With the Active Roster sitting at 52 with one open spot and the Practice Squad maxed at 17, there's gonna be a lot of cuts coming up: - Have to open a spot on the 53 for CB Levi Wallace - Have to open a spot on the 53 for LB Del'Shawn Phillips - Have to open a spot on the 53 or Practice Squad for LB Darron Lee - Have to open a spot on the 53 for TE Dawson Knox when he comes off the COVID List - Have to open a spot on the Practice Squad for TE Nate Becker when he comes off the COVID List - Potentially have to open a spot on the 53 or Practice Squad for CB Daryl Worley - Have to open a spot on the 53 for LB Tyrel Dodson following the bye
  4. No way they'd trade an impact player to a division rival. Only way that's possibly happening is if they have no other options, we're offering substantially more than anyone else, and/or Williams makes it known if he's cut he's coming here anyways. All of these seem pretty unlikely to me.
  5. Odd considering I think we're all expecting Jon Feliciano to be activated to the 53. Assumed they'd just use Spain's roster spot for him. Now do they release Boettger or something?
  6. Just think of it this way - Bell will replace what we've gotten from Zack Moss and T.J. Yeldon in his place. Either they redshirt Moss with his toe or Yeldon is released and moved to the Practice Squad. They'd roll with Bell and Singletary on game day and I don't think Singletary's carries would change all that much.
  7. How did I know that when two thirds of Bell's final 3 choices were the Bills and Dolphins that Belichick would jump in? 😑
  8. Yes, he can't come up from the Practice Squad anymore. He has to be signed to the roster. Which is what I was alluding to. It's a "week to week" sprain. But he was on crutches in the locker room - so I doubt it's minor. Yes, they cut him from the 53 to put Norman on. He then cleared waivers and was signed to our Practice Squad. This makes him ineligible to be called up unless signed to the 53. Which is why I'd expect Levi to go on IR.
  9. I'd expect Levi and Milano to land on IR for 3 weeks. Imagine Deon Lacey and Cam Lewis are elevated. Will be interesting to see if they sign anyone of interest to the Practice Squad following those moves.
  10. He's good when he's on the field and 100% Problem is, he's often off the field or on it less than 100% Still have time to come back and have a good season. But I'm starting to wonder if we should offer him a contract after this season or not. That thought wasn't there before.
  11. Nope, found the tweet I was referring to. Cam Lewis is ineligible to be promoted, unless straight to the 53. ... which, in retrospect, may be the case as Levi moving to IR for at least 3 weeks is very likely.
  12. I believe I read once practiced squaded, called up, released, and brought back to the practice squad - he forefeits his eligibility for a second game called up.
  13. I would try and roll with Oliver with Jefferson as much as possible over Butler and Phillips. Switch Klein's snaps with Dodson's. Bring up Dane Jackson to fill in for the loss of Levi Wallace. And just keep grinding this week. Though I'm not opposed to bringing in a Snacks Harrison - it's a lot to ask of someone to come in cold, learn the defense, and produce 5 games into the season.
  14. I mean - can Tyrel Dodson or Tyler Matakevitch be any worse? Deon Lacey or Andre Smith? Dude has just not been good.
  15. Was worried when he posted this before the game but... Release the Kraken INDEED!
  16. Josh friggin Norman! Guy came in cold, was forced to start, and did great. I saw him make 1 bad call in coverage and miss 1 tackle against Darren Waller (which one on one, most CB's will). Outside of that, he was phenomenal and brought a fiery edge. For not having played a single game this year, he came up big.
  17. That's pretty much what I was saying. Overall, it's much better than being classified with a long term injury. But there is evidence to point to that says McDermott's "Day to Day" can sometimes mean up to 3 weeks.
  18. It is. However, Sean McDermott's 'Day to Day' can still mean they miss a couple games. Better than both being really long term. But I've seen that 'Day to Day' designation last longer than it sounds.
  19. In a way? Yeah. Not directly. But he had to purge the big, bad contracts, take some cap hits, and then try to put a team together spending little money. Sometimes you get lucky and hit on a guy who was overlooked or outplays their contract. But by and large - you get what you pay for.
  20. You mean the year when he was *specifically* taking the roster down to it's roots in the middle of his rebuild and fixing of our salary cap? The year we were stockpiling draft picks so that he could maneuver the board and Draft our cornerstones in Josh Allen and Tremaine Edmunds? I don't even know how to respond to that argument. Especially when you look at where we are today coming from those rebuilding years.
  21. With all due respect to those posters - I'm gonna defer to Brandon Beane's opinion (and his scouts and the vast majority of others). The guy has been pretty much never wrong. And from a purely philosophical standpoint, you almost never pass on a top pass rusher for a flashy RB. Especially when you can get a comparable one at least an entire round later. Every year star RB's are made from the bottom rounds and as UDFA's. Overvaluing Running Back over positions like Defensive End is something we did in the past and it's not a good recipe for building a team.
  22. I know you're a Dobbins fan. But I think you're really discounting Epenesa and Moss to prove your point. Epenesa was considered the 2nd best DE in the entire class by most and pretty much everyone had him as a First Rounder. Saying his CEILING is as a rotational DE is simply absurd. That's his floor now. Especially after all the praise and some really nasty looking clips coming from Training Camp. He will be a starter as soon as possibly next season Zack Moss doesn't have Dobbins speed. But we've got plenty of speed coming from the WR and TE position. Beane and McDermott value shiftiness and brute force from the RB position. As for people saying Moss is just a guy, I'm wondering where you're seeing this. Because just like Epenesa, Moss is being praised left and right. Hell, Peter Schrager had him #7 on his list of 2020 Breakout Players in the ENTIRE NFL. Again, I like Dobbins as a player. Wouldn't have been upset if we picked him. But seeing how the entire Draft played out - the value of Epenesa/Moss is just so much higher than if we would have went RB in Round 2. It's really not even a question.
