A relatively new show, but Wayne from Letterkenny is already moving quickly up the ranks on an all time list. The show looks to be part Fight Club, part Dukes of Hazzard, part Trailer Park Boys and part Clerks the original..the good one.

I agree with most of that unless your boss to be is a name dropper. At Arthur Bryant's you can bring up that 4 presidents have eaten there, (OK 3, I'm sure Clinton had someone get a take out order at one time), actors, directors, etc, etc. Its a good way to show your prospective boss your research skills, lol.

Its actually pretty rare to find a direct flight from KCI to BUF on any airline. Living in KS, I've flown KC-Buf maybe 2 dozen times and only had a direct flight once. So congrats on the rare find. Tip: United seems to have more restrictive baggage requirements. At least when we flew 3 years ago, the only baggage that was free was the one you could put under your seat. They charged for the ones you put in the overhead compartment. And if you, (or anyone else), has never been to KCI, it is one of the easiest airports to navigate. IT is shaped like a cloverleaf, with a big circle connecting the terminals and smaller circles for each terminal. If you miss either or terminal or gate area, just drive around the circle again. There are shuttles to take you to the car rental area. Buffalo's Airport just sucks...it really does.

That was a pretty good guide. Well, very good, especially identifying the places to avoid. But in KC..the nice thing is, if you pick a place at random, the odds of getting good BBQ are better than getting bad BBQ. I will say that if this is a person's first, or possibly their only trip to KC, and if a person wants to say, "I've been there"...its Arthur Bryant's of Gates. Arthur Bryant's is the creator of the burnt end...an order should be on everyone's food based Bucket List. Gates is...well...Gates. I still use both of their sauces, because both have bite to them and neither has that too sweet taste. Arthur Bryant's is like walking into Allen Fieldhouse. Its an old building, ugly and without any modern creature comforts. But when youlook at the photos of who has been there, its like Allen Fieldhouse and seeing the banners. I agree with what someone else said, his rookie year wasn't all that spectacular to begin with. I remember an older cousin coming back from college that year and asking us how Miller was doing. I remember my Dad and I looking at each other and saying the same thing, "he's not exactly setting the world on fire". His rookie year, he had that game and a 100 yard game in the last game of the season. Every other game was around 50-60 yards and a YPC barely over 3. I always thought he looked tentative. And he was the RB I wanted in that draft. He really was a stud in college. Oklahoma St. wasn't really a powerhouse but he produced like few others. I always saw him as a nice replacement for OJ, considering the bushel of draft picks Knox got in the trade. But it wasn't to be. When Cribbs came in 2 years later, and I watched him hit the hole, I thought..."this is how MIller should be running." Ha..you beat me by a few minutes

The house looks so nice...and then you get to the kids' room, which looks like an Amtrak sleeping compartment...the one without the bathroom.

Hoosiers...yeah, that's a movie you should see. Its the classic sports movie that's not too over the top. Gene Hackman was ..Gene Hackman and Dennis Hopper was excellent. One cool thing about it was that none of the players were professional actors, they were college and high school basketball players.

Interesting about the running bit. According to the actress in it,( Kelly Lynch?), she said every time it was on TV, Bill Murray would call her husband and say, "Patrick Swayze is sleeping with your wife right now!"

A Quiet Place II can go on the "good sequels" side of sequels. I saw it last night. Even though they did much of what was done in the original, it came out pretty good. The deaf daughter is the hit of this one. And of course, there are enough WNY landmark scenes considering it was filmed in WNY. Akron, aka Anytown, USA is featured in the 15 minute prequel/origins story. The Grand Island Bridge, the ruins of Bethlehem Steel and Olcott all get screen time. Considering the waterfall scene in the original, and further considering they chose to film in WNY, I know they were tempted to make a community of survivors living in the Cave of the Winds...but alas..they didn't.

Yeah, people actually thought Turner Gill would be better than Mangino...lol...all these years and I still shake my head at the thought.

Provides the speed they've been missing. A quick cut in the backfield and he's through the hole. 174 David Moore G Grambling To appreciate this guy, you have to watch him block. FInd some videos of him at the Senior Bowls practices. In an arena where he is the small school guy going against the "big boys", he was a man amongst boys. He was voted the outstanding OL on his Senior Bowl team by the defensive linemen who went against him all week. 213 Khyiris Tonga DL BYU. Shrugs, its the end of the draft. A widebody who might find a roster spot. 236 Tarron Jackson DE Coastal Carolina . I'll take a 1st team AP All American pass rusher in the 7th. Ha, You should have done a spoiler alert there. SInce you didn't, I will. **********************SPOILER ALERT*********************************** I laughed the first time he used the axe to block the Godzilla death ray. An image came in my mind of the creative team brainstorming and saying..."how do we even the odds between Kong and Godzilla? We've made him bigger, but what about the death ray?" As they go around the room, someone speaks up and says..."2 words...light saber".

Our local B&B Theater is still open so we saw it tonight on the grand screen...about the size of a drive in screen. A sound system that shakes the walls of the theater, power recliners and enough room between the rows to avoid the "pardon me, excuse me, pardon me" scenario. it was also showing in the theater that has "feel around" seats...they rock and sway, shoot water or snow at you, that type of thing. I wasn't in the mood for that. The CGI was great, the fight scenes weren't done in the dark, but it still had some WTF moments that were WTF even for a Godzilla movie. Its nice to see they were able to incorporate a WWE story line.

My eventual wife dragged me to Lilydale in the Southern Tier many years ago. Her mom went with us. Her mom...I have immense respect for, but she also has one of the most violent tempers I've seen. It can be like watching a steam boiler explode. Anyway, we are at the magical stump, or log, the place they do public readings. They basically just pick people out and "read' them. After a while, the medium looked at her mom for a few seconds. The lady's eyes got wide and she said, "My god, I see your hair standing on end! The spirit talking to me is telling you to chill out!" I nearly let out a "holy crap!" Her mom had just been sitting there and hadn't said a word the whole time. Many years later, my wife went to one after her brother had passed. She only gave her first name and paid in cash, and there was no appointment or anything like that to give away any info. She recorded the session and had me listen to it. The guy was good, whether a con man or genuine. What got me is when he said, there are 2 spirits here, Im seeing a big A and a little a. Father and brother were both named Art. There are lots of names in the world, of many different letters...so if it was a guess, it was a damn good one. He had it right that her brother died suddenly (heart attack) which is good, but can be predictable. He also conveyed that her brother said he can "move around lots better"...which, considering he had MS, is another good guess. She asked me what I thought after listening. I could only say, "idk, the guy is good. But the important thing is what you believe...quit worrying about how genuine it may be and consider it a nice afternoon with your brother and your dad. They both said they were pain free now and are happy. That should give you some comfort."

I don't mind drafting an OL in the late first...but I'd just as soon see them pay Williams. The team spent years with guys like Jordan Mills at the position. They finally got quality and it paid dividends. No need to take the chance on a rookie when you have good production already there.

I remember the guy from high school. My son played against him, (but probably never lined up against him.) He was like the Michael Oher of the city...without Sandra Bullock calling in plays from the stands.

What can be nice about streaming services is finding old shows you never had time to watch in their first run. Skimming through Netflix 2 weeks ago, I saw they had Twin Peaks listed. I was busy starting a career and dating my eventual wife when it first aired, so I never really watched it. I knew what it was of course, and like anyone who was around in 1989-90 knew the phrase, "Who killed Laura Palmer?". I had an hour to kill one night and watched the pilot episode. I was hooked. For the younger generation who aren't familiar with it...there probably hasn't been anything on TV like it before or since. In one murder investigation, they crammed about 2 dozen subplots, an entire cast of eclectic characters, weird dream sequences, giants, log ladies and beautiful off the wall humor. The amazing thing is they did it in a season and a half. David Lynch's masterpiece.
