I like Motor. He gets the results of a power back in a 5'7" body. Meaning, he's very good at getting the 3-5 yard gain and doesn't often get caught in the backfield. He's usually leaning forward and stretching for an extra yard or two. I'd also like a RB that runs under a 4.6 40, at the very least for a change of pace. I like Hall. I like Walker. But I like the idea of adding to the secondary more, especially with the influx of new QB's in the AFC and what is sure to be an influx of WR talent during the draft. Give me Pierre Strong in the 3rd or the 4th. Or Ty Chandler from North Carolina a little later in the draft.

You have to take the "dominate" comment in context. North Dakota St. could be the truest throwback team in college football. To say they are "run first" is an understatement. They ran nearly 700 times last year in 15 games, as opposed to passing about 250 times. That's only around 16 passes per game. It works for them. Watson averaged over 18 yards per catch with 800 yards in 12 games. ND St. didn't have another receiver with 300 yards. He yardage totals were more than the next 3 ND St. receivers combined. In essence, he WAS their passing game.

Well, the good news is that it can't fully sink. On the other hand, idk if it can afford to be lost. There are only 4 Fletcher class destroyers left, 3 in the US and one in Greece.

KU choked its way through the first half. It was looking like a typical Bill Self choke job. Watching NC's injuries was like watching a football game, guys going down every other possession. They gave a hell of an effort. It wasn't the best played game, but at least it was close. I'll take March Madness over the college football playoffs any day.

25. Trent McDuffie CB Washington - Both Kenyon Green and Zion Johnson were available as was Dean of Georgia, so a tough choice. Bates' signing made the choice a little easier. Many say you don't "reach for need" but McDuffie is hardly a reach. He should contribute from day one. 57. Breece Hall RB Iowa St. - I realize few have heard of him on here...no wait, there is an 85 page thread about him...never mind. Instant upgrade to the running game in a number of areas. Breakaway threat, can catch, big enough to add some help in pass pro and knows how to find the endzone. People want an impact player, there he is. 89. Troy Anderson - LB Montana St. Enough has been said about him already. When a guy with that type of athleticism is there at the bottom of the third, its hard to pass up. 130. Cole Strange OG- Tenn Chattanooga - He put on over 20 lbs during his career from 280 to a little over 300. 2 time Southern Conference OL of the year. Had a good Senior Bowl week after a slow start. Tested well at the Combine. The word most use to describe him is "nasty". 168. Danny Gray WR SMU - I just like him. Fast but not really a smurf, productive and can make plays in all three areas of the field. He will fit right in. 185. Amare Barno Edge V-Tech. 6'6" 245lb edge rushers who run a 4.3 don't grow on trees. If he busts..its a 6th round pick. If he learns from Von Miller, its the steal of steals. 203. Luke Fortner OG/C Kentucky solid career at Kentucky, both guard and center experience. A quality depth pick at minimum. 231. Chris Paul - OG Tulsa. OT being kicked inside to guard. Worth a shot.

It was a fun game to watch..they were flying up and down the court for most of the game. It led to some sloppy play at times, but both teams left everything on the court. there were a bunch of clutch three pointers down the stretch. It lived up to its billing.

Yeah, my wife would say that to be adopted into my family, you had to be able to qoute movie lines. Too many to mention, but one of the more recent ones for me comes from the Ballad of Buster Scruggs. After one of the greatest gunfights in Hollywood history... I'm sure you realize that the same standard can be applied to other positions as well, especially when the limiting factor is "winning the Superbowl. For example, I went back and looked at the DB's taken in the 1st round since 2012. There were probably 60 taken. Anderson actually made all conference as a QB one year and all conference as a MLB the next. In fact, he was the FCS defensive player of the year for 2021. In a class of athletic LB's...he actualyl might be the most athletic. But I agree with the poster after you, he might not be a sleeper any longer. As far as names not mentioned, Danny Gray WR SMU. Can make plays in all three levels, ran a 4.33 40 at the Combine. 800 yards and 10 TD's in 10 games last year. A threat to take it to the house on any catch. On defense, the truest sleeper may be Amare Barno from V-tech. 6'6, 245 lbs and ran a 4.34 40, a 37 inch vertical and an 11 foot broad jump., He needs work, but I can think of a fast DE/LB who just joined the Bills who might be willing to give him some tips.

And the Kansas angle came up at the time. It probably is what led to the renovations. The Chiefs' lease for Arrowhead had a provision that Arrowhead would be a state of the art facility. By 2010, it wasn't and needed work. The KC Metro Sports Authority, or whatever it is called...was dragging its feet and/or balking on renovations. Wyandotte County, Kansas and I think Johnson County, Kansas got involved and offered to build a new stadium on the Kansas side. I think it was going to be by the NASCAR track, about 10 miles West of KCMO. That is all it took. The funding for upgrades was done in the fall. It wouldn't surprise me if these comments aren't being used the same way...as some type of bargaining chip.

KU made it to the Elite 8 without their All American guard, Agbaji, showing up for the tourney yet. His shooting percentage has been 35 percent, 35 percent and 20 percent in 3 games. On the other hand, their star transfer, Remy Martin, is finally healthy and has shown up in a big way. He's a one man show. They are still a very streaky team...

A few years ago there was a thread on here about the best concerts you'd seen. I, like a number of others, mentioned that concert. I did some digging, thinking maybe it was some collective stupor shared by those of us who were there. I found the audio for the concert an you can hear Daltrey saying after the song, "I don't think even the Rolling Bones could do that" Or maybe it was Townsend, can't be sure..and it doesn't matter. While I was doing my internet digging, I found an interview with Kenny Jones. He was asked about which venue he'd like to play again. He said Buffalo and recounted the story. Then he said something like, you can't write a better script than that.

I think the first game against CIncy played the biggest role. You're right, Cinci came back 3 time from a 2 TD deficit. And they came back from a 17-0 halftime deficit to win. I really believe they went for the TD because they were saying to themselves, "17-0 wasn't enough last time, we need to put the dagger in the heart right now". And when it failed, the first seeds of doubt were planted in their heads. The first series of the 2nd half looked like it increased that doubt. It snowballed from there. I don't know if that's overconfidence or disinterest, I see it as the opposite...lack of confidence and a fear of history repeating itself. If anything, they might have been pushing too hard. Mahomes did all of that running in the backfield because he was looking to make the big play instead of taking the easier yards. He does that often, obviously, but it really takes over when he thinks their back is up against the wall. Its what he did earlier in the season, but it lessened as the season went on. It looked to me like the first Cinci game was in their heads from the end of the first half. And I saw that same look in Warren Moon's eyes during the 2nd half of the comeback game.

I described this elsewhere, but I'll just say that in our long walk around Arrowhead post game...from our seats to our car, Chiefs fans constantly were coming up to us to say, "great game", "hell of a team", things like that. Fist bumps, handshakes, and high fives people gave me totaled well over 100. Its always easier to say "good game" when you are on the winning side, but it is just as easy to say "Ha, you guys suck". The ratio of Chiefs fans who showed respect over the few loser comments was so high it isn't worth mentioning. Overwhelmingly, people realized they had just witnessed something historic.

I smiled a few times. At least he left out the volleyball scene and didn't put Josh in a bedroom scene with Kelly McGillis.

for Christmas Eve, its this. We did it last year and it came out great. My oldest will do the sauce and meatballs on Thursday and we'll put it together on Friday. We used the Binging with Babish recipe., except 1) I braise the meat for the meatballs, not grind it; and 2) I don't make my own rigatoni...that's insane. On Xmas day, the traditional ham and pierogis. My gram's cheese pierogi recipe. In 2 days I'll eat more than in a normal week, I think.

We ended up taking my 82 year old mother in law when I was in town for the WFT game. The handicap lot was full when we got there, but the parking people put us in a spot right next to that lot. Right after going through the gate where the handicap lot is (6?), to the right there is a phone along the fence. You can call and they can send someone with a wheelchair to take you to your section. In our case, I just walked behind her as she ascended the stairs to our row. Not having to walk halfway around the stadium to get to our section helped her. On leaving, there are phones in the concourse for the same purpose. Just call and a person with a wheelchair shows. Hope it helps.

I don't agree that it was a Catch22. First, Edmunds had inside leverage on the guard. Second, his head was above the guard's left shoulder. He had perfect line of sight on Fournette, probably the best line of sight of anyone on the D. There was no reason for him not to see Fournette's cut upfield. When Fournette makes his cut, Edmunds does nothing to attempt to mirror him and in fact, keeps moving outside. By the time he diagnoses a play, the RB is already through the hole. In below average QB's, some call it slow eyes. And that's what he has.
