  1. Except Mario and Hughes and Lawson and Branch in the last 2 seasons. All impact players and great signings. Now we need to do the same for the offense.
  2. lmao never heard that one. still laughing you just made up for all your frustrating posts. well maybe not all of them, but a year's worth anyway
  3. I've been thinking we need a TE badly and thought Ebron might be a Bill on draft day, and I was looking into Chris Gragg our 7th round pick last year. The guy dominated the combine last year for his position, and is faster than any TE in the draft this year. He took first for TE's in the 40yd with a 4.5 (which is what Robert Woods ran and he's fast), and first in the vertical, broad jump and the 3 cone drill. I was reading that he dropped so far in the draft because he had several injuries in college that slowed him down, but if we don't resign Chandler this guy might be a sleeper for us next year. I know that combine numbers don't always translate to game speed, but 4.5 is remarkable for a 250 pounder, and they say he has good hands. He's got a year under his belt, and saw some playing time last year. Somebody coach this guy up on his blocking skills and teach him how to run the seams like Gronk and Vernon Davis. We have a QB who isn't super accurate, and big receiving targets with speed are a far better idea than little targets with speed. Gragg Draft Profile: Straight-line speed helps him separate from linebackers in the middle of the field, Possesses receiver-like hands, adjusting to poor throws and going up to snatch passes above his head. Strong runner after the catch, churning through and spinning off tackles to maximize the play. Gives good effort as an in-line and downfield blocker. I'm not going out to buy my Gragg jersey yet, but Stevie came from the 7th round and made a big impact, maybe this kid can do the same.
  4. i love nicks and spikes. Tate is a cocky whiny bastard that belongs in baltimore, seattle, dallas, jets or philly. According to my NFL rules, nobody else is allowed to sign that punk.
  5. I think Hairston will be ready to go and win the RT spot this season. He has had an entire season to rehab. I don't know how to grade OT's but Nix was always praising his tenacity and athleticism. (or maybe he wanted us fans to feel like we got a glimmer of SOMETHING for marshawn) If I'm right that leaves only one spot at LG on the O-line assuming Pears wins his spot again. I hope they get a LG in free agency and draft the best yogurt available early in the draft for depth and to push the starters. Remember if you take out Clowney and the 3 QB's (all of which we don't need and will be drafted ahead of us) we have a very good chance of getting trade down offers where we stand. Trading down last year got us Kiko for free. I want to see the same thing happen again. Unless Sammy Watkins is there. The next Andre Reed. (yeah I said it)
  6. He's a physical specimen for sure. Never seemed better than average to me. Best kick blocker of all time in buff.
  7. This probably explains why JK never got into coaching at the pro level. He's battling Crabbe's for the unborn, fighting cancer and dealing with pain from serious NFL injuries plus insomnia on a daily basis. Just goes to show what a good family and a positive attitude can get you through.
  8. Wait what did he do that makes you say he's good at his job? Because he failed to negotiate a good deal for his client last year and forced him into risking injury for 10 games that would have cost him a huge contract? Byrd didn't need an agent to get himself franchise tagged and paid, that's automatically calculated by the league. So last year the only thing he did for his client was make him seem like a selfish me-first player who wouldn't even man up enough to play a full season like all the other tagged guys in the league did. He faked an injury and skipped camp and hurt his team. His client now gets as much respect as a Maybin or a Revis or a Crabtree. And now Byrd can yank his kids away from their friends and schoolmates to go live in another city so daddy can make $23M instead of only $20M in a low cost of living city like Buff. Yeah great agent. It's all about the money Jairus. You need more money Jairus. You can make an extra 15% elsewhere (yeah sure 47% of that goes to the IRS but YOU NEED THE MONEY JAIRUS) Hell you only made $7M in 10 games last year, you need at least another $25M for your children's college fund man. Now go tell your kids to say goodbye to all their friends forever and lets sell this house and go get a bigger one in some other city with 25 rooms instead of 10. Dopes.
  9. I remember watching Byrd closely in the New Orleans game. He had been back playing for a few games from his holdout and he got absolutely shredded all day out there. Made no plays except getting to the ball too late and watching guys run by him into the endzone. We gave up over 300 yards and 5 td's that game and they should have had a 6th. Atlanta wasn't much better. Byrd had zero impact. He has proven that his rookie year INT number was a fluke, averaging barely 3 picks a year since then. He's an average FS like a lot of guys in the league only he's a team cancer for us now. Later dude.
  10. Completely disagree. Aaron Williams had some game changing plays at FS last year. Our defense didn't get any better when Mr Selfish came back from his fake injury to play out his franchise tag. In fact, we got worse against the run. Byrd is overrated. Definitely a good player, but we won't miss a step with him gone, just like last year. Im glad he's leaving, sick of him and eugene and their ridiculous ego's.
  11. I think we are going OT in the first and OG in the 3rd. LB in the 2nd. We have 3 good WR, 2 good runners and a solid defense thats only 1 LB away from being great. We need a dominant O line. Glenn and Wood are studs. Must add two more athletic maulers at LG and RT.
  13. Releasing Rusty Jones was ridiculously poor judgement by the Bills. The following year Urlacher gave him a lot of credit for his NFL defensive player of the year award. As far as preventing injuries, I don't know if we're more injury prone than any other team. Our big boys on both sides of the ball fared very well this season-- better than average anyway. I agree that with certain guys like Stevie Johnson, Dareus, there should be a mandatory injury preventative/conditioning program they follow year round. Considering the millions they make, it's silly to not have them on the same regimen as some of the other NFL professionals who take conditioning more seriously. The concept of fining someone if they show up at camp overweight is archaic. They should be fined if they don't show up for conditioning 5 days a week in the off season. Give them a few weeks off for vacation but otherwise it's a requirement written in the contract.
  14. Game speed is totally different with the rare exception of a go route where the receiver isn't jammed by the defender and they just run a straight line. TJ Graham might be good on the Patriots or the Colts, where you have very accurate QB's hitting little guys on the money. We certainly don't have that kind of accuracy in our qb's and neither do most teams. Goodwin has shown himself to have more tenacity and better hands. He's a solid football player and he has ball skills (adjustment to the pass, feeling the defender and using body position to ensure he gets the ball or nobody gets it) I think they will keep TJ this year but he'll back up Goodwin all season. We only need one speedster.
  15. Agreed. The guy gets open, has great hands, is a huge target, doesnt jump offsides and has won games for us. Why would we want such an asset on our team? Lets dump him and Stevie and just start over because we're SO deep at having targets for our rookie qb and we don't have any needs elsewhere to use our draft picks on.
  16. You can do the exact same thing for every team and it would look like what you typed. (you forgot Winfield and Big Pat) Go ahead and start with the Patriots from the year they dealt Seymour. Every team in the league drafts guys and signs guys that they don't keep for various reasons. Are you implying that keeping Nate Clements was smart for the Bills? Or Willis or Lynch the nightmare teammates? I hated to see Levitre go, and Greer and Poz. But every team has good guys go elsewhere all the time, it's a reality of the league.
  17. If Seattle went to trade Lynch now I'll bet he wouldnt fetch more than a 2nd rounder. (Unless Indy was still looking for a runner. Those dopes astound me) He was significantly outplayed by the seattle backup runner in the bowl and I think you'll see him platooning a lot more next year. Hard to not wonder what that game would have been like if Denver wasn't stupid enough to lose Dumervil and if Von Miller was playing. Even without those two pro bowlers Denver shut down Russel and Lynch pretty well.
  18. Where do you see Peyton Manning having an Ego. The guy does nothing but spread around kudos and praise to his team and coaches and fans. He is respectful to the interviewers despite some ridiculously stupid questions. He even swallowed his pride when dickhead Irsay played out his usual BS antics the last few years The classiest guy in the NFL IMO. I never get sick of that. Would you rather see Rivers and Cutler whining away out there?
  19. Wait....what? You mean my recent arguments that defend global cooling are flawed?
  20. If Spikes was heathy he would never do this. Period. Bill is a win at all costs guy He's been hobbled by a bad knee all season. Classic NE move. Tell half the story and make yourself look good. Joke.
  21. If you think EJ has an INT problem you have your head in the sand. The guy only threw 10 picks on almost 400 throws his senior year, and did an outstanding job this year as an nfl rookie. His only bad game was Tampa (4 picks) and if you watched the game you would know that only 2 of those were on him. He averaged less than one INT per game outside of Tampa. Think before you post.
  22. I agree JBoys. Considering you're pushing 14,000 posts that's saying something. And think my mom said I sucked at everything I ever did. (that's why I had my 'MOM' tattoo removed and replaced with MOorMan") I'm gonna go back and send her my Draft Ngata Now post again just to show her I'm not such a bumbling fool.
  23. Wow this has to be the first topic of relevance that contains a new idea for the NFL that was liked by well over 90% of the board. we are entering a Golden Age here at the stadium wall. Mods you need to enshrine this thread in the TBD Hall of Fame as the most harmonious of all time. I think the reason for everyone agreeing is that NONE of the following topics/words can be woven into the thread: Ralph, Cheap, Gregg, TJ Graham, Lynch Hit and Run, McGahee, Maybin, Witner, Hamdan, Ronnie Jones, Drunk Guy drowning in creek, Drunk Guy peeing in the stands, Myra Kraft, Crafty Chan, CJ, TJ and EJ, Ed Wong, Marrone's Mom dating Eugene Parker, and the law firm of Hackett, Legursky and Gragg.
  24. Because some draft years there isn't ONE good NFL qb to be had. It's even possible that last year was one of those years. Geno probably isn't going to make it, and that leaves Glennon and EJ. It's hard not to wonder what the NFL would have looked like if Luck had left Stanford after his junior year like a lot of people thought he would. He would be a panther, and Cam Newton would have dropped to Denver or us. If Denver took Cam we would probably have Von Miller (or vice versa) and Peyton Manning might still be a Colt.
