Name a player who is comparable to Josh Allen.....
MiracleAtRich1393 replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
An unholy combo of Steve Young, Brett Favre, John Elway, Aaron Rodgers, Ben Roethlisberger, and Cam Newton. -
I loved Diggs when he was in his prime here but he fell off HARD over the second half of last year and is now coming off an ACL. I think part of it was he's not a fit for this scheme, but on top of that he's basically going to be mostly a slot guy that doesn't want to block if and when he comes back fully from this injury. I'd take him at league minimum for a year but I'd honestly probably rather have Mack Hollins plus a day 3 rookie next year instead of Diggs at this point.

yes yes yes do not pay multiple boundary CB's in this system. You can pay Benford on an extension but not both. Just pick 2 with some arm length, tackling ability & zone awareness skills on day 3 this year and at least one will work out.

Where was the defensive adjustment on Puka Nakua?

We drafted the complete stiff Justin Shorter over him 🤣 -
Bills only had 9 players on the field for the final punt

Scoop & score bruh! -
Day 3 (RayDay), low budget FA's (Tyler Johnson) and UDFA's at RB all damn day every day. Do not pay an RB please!

Check out their 10 yard splits tho

Random talking head says something about the Bills
MiracleAtRich1393 replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
The only thing most of the highly paid prime time color guys truly know is that a majority of the prime time viewing audience doesn't know much about football, it's casual fans so they can just say whatever they want and it doesn't actually matter. So you get catchphrases and some pet topic(s) they steer everything towards no matter how relevant. Extremely annoying, but it's like death & taxes at this point. -
Best I've felt about the bills since 2020
MiracleAtRich1393 replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall
All I ask is no major injuries, no weather flukes, and let the chips fall where they may. Think we are at worst a coin flip matchup against anyone in the league no matter where's it's played under those two circumstances. If Josh plays as he typically does in the playoffs, there just may be no stopping us this year. -
Not a whole lot different than Brady most likely. We are 16-4 including playoffs since he took over. That also includes the game @Philly with horrendous reffing and multiple botched TDs plus the KC playoff game where we had a decimated LB/DB crew, the offense had the stuff.

MVP TROPHY: who cares the most ?

Are you trying to tell me our own Mitch Trubisky's NVP award means NOTHING?? -
Is he even part of the plan at all anymore?

CB & S: low cost FAs & day 3 picks with scheme fit. LB: drafted Olufoshio this year, he will be the depth. RB: day 3 pick or UDFA with pass pro, speed, and receiving ability to be 3rd on depth chart for a year and backfill Cook leaving as a FA the following year while RayDay takes over #1 duties TE: traits-y upside receiving TE on day 3 OL: give me another day 3 upside pick like Grable anywhere on the OLine all day DL & WR: hammer these with the first & both seconds. 1Tech, DE, separator WR (blazing speed a nice bonus obviously).

Can we talk about Beane and Oline?
MiracleAtRich1393 replied to No_Matter_What's topic in The Stadium Wall
The starters are all very good but the high quality depth is also huge like you point out. OLine is only as strong as the weakest link, don't want to be one injury away from getting easily exploited in Jan/Feb -
Bills Exposed 2023 Eagles and Now, 2024 Chiefs

We played a big part in exposing them too! Handed them their 2nd loss. Huge game in Allen's coming out party season. -
Is the "new" Curtis Samuel here to stay?
MiracleAtRich1393 replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
Such a great decision to let him walk! -
yes need him healthy for the entire stretch run for sure!
-
I will admit to having been way wrong on him. Absolutely love the guy.
-
Makes me so sad thinking about him not playing against the Chiefs in the playoffs last year. It was the difference between a win & loss. Just like Kelce went off in the SB after Greenlaw had the most fluke achilles injury in history. How do the Chiefs get so lucky year after year???
-
Agreed. The "misses" lately have been high picks in the secondary (Elam, and Bishop so far but obviously TBD). The hits have been Benford (6th), Taron (4th), Douglas (3rd for 5th pick swap so 4th round value), and solid starters/role players Rapp (low cost FA) Hamlin (6th round), Cam Lewis (UDFA), Jamarcus Ingram (UDFA). The Mike Edwards flop doesn't hurt the way Elam/Bishop does since it was another low cost FA you can easily move on from. Stick to the formula and use the premium draft capital for shots at O/DLine and weapons for Josh.
-
Agreed which is why we should leave the secondary to day 3 picks, UDFAs, and cheap vets. It's his specialty, use the premium resources elsewhere. Bit of an arbitrage, let's maximize it!
