  1. I agree that one reason why we have too many "third and hopes" (good phrase) is that we/Josh are not taking early easy throws. I see it with a limited view of the field (TV cams not showing whole field) so why doesn't Josh? He's either not reading the field well right now or going for the big play too much. If Josh can take those 6 or 7-yard first down passes, if we can run more than 14 carries a game by the backs, we will be a LOT better. But again, it was against a great D and in less than ideal weather. Let's see if over the next 4 games we can make progress.
  2. Good for the Chargers — and the Bills. F*** the Fish. And a couple takes earlier in this thread haven't aged too well.
  3. Really glad to see Hill sit on the sideline with a swollen ankle. The little pr*** (yes, a man who punches a pregnant woman in the stomach deserves that title) deserves a long injury.
  4. I don't think everyone will agree with the OP but I think the idea has merit. 14 carries by people other than Josh in bad weather (yes, the players say it wasn't bad but look at all the drops) isn't enough.
  5. Chargers doing a great job on D. Haven't seen Hill be a factor this first half outside of the fluky fumble return (which was still a great play but not a defensive miscue per se, just a fluke).
  6. Just me or did Rousseau pack on some muscle? Looks pretty damn beefy there... And what a game.
  7. We might see a dome built in Buffalo before an effective screen game.
  8. Yeah, totally my bad. Had a few Friday pops and my reading comprehension wasn't there. We both hope he's back for the playoffs. This team has had s*** luck so it's time for something good to happen. Cheers.
  9. Yes, but since then he said there was a chance he could come back THIS season... He said it was not according to the typical medical timeline but every person is different.
  10. No news on Hyde that past couple weeks, I guess? Not counting on it but his return, even after a couple playoff games (assuming we win) would take some of the sting out of the Miller injury.
  11. Man, with Von gone we're pretty lucky we signed Shaq. Not saying he's a top-level pass rusher, but he's a decent lineman with experience. I'd hate to be relying on just Boogie and AJ opposite Rousseau.
  12. Agree with most that O-line and outside WR are top priorities. Then safety and possibly MLB if we don't extend Edmunds. Would like to see a bigger back (220 lbs plus) with good speed (say 4.5) drafted late to be the thunder to Cook's lightning.
  13. The man wants to be a GM; let's see if he can be an unofficial coach for the next couple months... I'm not kidding. If he's the team player I think he is, he will be advising Rousseau and others on how to scout and play the opposition and how to maximize their talents and minimize their mistakes and how to have the correct championship mindset. I'm not 100% certain but betting (hoping) this happens. Let's see...
  14. Baldy is awesome fun and insightful. I'd like to see some of the O-line gurus here who are down on Saffold respond (not being facetious) as this goes against what we've heard for a while about Roger. I don't have the acumen to give a counter argument but many here do.
  15. Don't give this POS clicks. I regret clicking myself now. Anyone who doesn't recognize a 30-degree differential in extreme heat is not only a huge competitive disadvantage and dangerous and unethical is a POS. Would love to see that writer spout some of his charming observations in a Bills bar and see how many chuckles and thumbs-ups he gets.
  16. Considering his Fred Sanford limp, I still wanna sign him just in case he ever happens to score a touchdown and he does the "Elizabeth, I'm coming!" celebration.
  17. I agree with your draft thinking. But I'm not sure with our cap situation we can free up the money to pay Edmunds 18 million and Poyer $10-12 million. Who's easier to replace with less capital (cap space or pick capital)?
  18. I'm surprised this thread didn't get more traction. My questions: what's easier to replace (and ideally with less capital) in the draft: MLB or safety? Or, what free agents can do a similar job at less money and/or are younger than Poyer specifically?
  19. It's a phenomenal stat and really proves that while our coaching and front office is not perfect, it's been really, really good.
  20. How the tiny have fallen.
  21. Yeah, pretty easy to root (as a second-level team) for them: underdogs from a smaller market — who have been to the big game but never won it all — and the help they gave the Bills with that win. I'm always a sucker for underdogs. If and when the Bills become the new Evil Empire I'll have to deal with them no longer being an underdog but I'll figure it out.
  22. While a Bills are, bar none, my fave sports team and it's not close, I don't mind the Bengals and respect them. If we cannot go all the way I would much rather see the Bengals win then the Chiefs. Perhaps, in time, I can hate the Bengals the way I hate the Chiefs but it's a long way off. That said, I hope we crush them both.
  23. People have mentioned it but let me put this flat out there: if we can only afford Edmunds OR Oliver, who do you pay? (Play the game and only pick one and don't say make both work; we're tight against the cap and need to upgrade the O-line too.) I think I'm leaning Oliver...
  24. F*** Mahome's stupid face and and haircut. F*** Mahome's goofy voice and walk. F*** Mahome's dumb finger thing he does. F*** Kelce's trailer-park look. Cheers to Cincy. Hail the Bills, the number one team in the AFC once again.
  25. You've watched too many bad films. Today's film was much, much better. Be a good dude and give $5 or $10 to a charity this week in lieu of a beer to me.
