  1. Let's save this dicussion till after the playoffs are done.
  2. *****, until now I assumed we we're talking Joe Brady — yes, I tuned out the "broadcast" part... Just thought it was some post-game press thing. So Tom said this... silly bastard. You'd think with all the media training he wouldn't go there on live TV. My daughter has autism and doesn't like the R word. She's not the only one who doesn't. If a sizable group of people who are different from the mainstream find a word hurtful, can't we be human enough to respect them and use a different word? I'm not the politically correct police BTW and love Bill Burr and Dave Chapelle, FWIW. I just think we need to reconsider some non-consequential (to us) uses of language if a lot of people are hurt by them. If it means a lot to someone else, can't we try to do a little better with a different choice of words? But go f***ing nuts, all of you who think saying what you want is the most important thing and f*** it if people are hurt by it.
  3. I don't agree. If this is a slur against people with disabilities and most of the non-disabled population aren't aware of that, I think it's basic human respect to listen to the people hurt by it and try to evolve. The same could be said of a lot of slurs over the decades. If you had a kid who was disabled, or a brother, or an cousin, and this word hurt them, why would you not want people to understand it and try to do better? Now, if 99% of disabled people have zero problem with the word, it's a different story. In my opinion. Why decide for others what they should or should not tolerate?
  4. Perhaps a more interesting poll and debate would have been this: 1. Coleman and 2nd round pick (turned into Bishop) vs... 2. Brian Thomas Jr.
  5. The Bills make you eat; the Bills make me drink. Win or lose.
  6. If people are upset, apologize, don't do it again, and move on. Saying something wrong with ignorance is not right but not the same as saying something wrong with intention.
  7. Just read this: "Through eight games, Coleman already has virtually equaled the run-after-catch yards Gabe Davis had for the Bills all last season. Coleman has 192 RAC yards, according to NFL Next Gen Stats. Davis had 194 in 17 games in 2023."
  8. Elam has flashed a few times over the years — and knows the system. That to me, even if the odds are against him, are worth more as a backup/potential start if Douglas leaves, than a 5th rounder. He offers no leverage in a trade for a high-end player. Even as a gamble he's worth more to us.
  9. Props to @Alphadawg7 who declared in May 2022 he thinks Shakir could be elite. Guys like Cosell were high on him too though I don't know if anyone said over two years ago he had elite potential.
  10. You could be right but I think Josh respects Brady enough to listen to him. If Brady tells him to stay the course and play smart, maybe Josh will listen. If I were QB and the guy with the SB record was telling me I'm playing smarter, I think I would consider that maybe that's the way to keep playing. Who knows. F*** Mahomes and the Chiefs and Go Bills!
  11. It won't stop the regular season stats Mahomes is piling up but if Josh and the Bills can knock the Chiefs out of the playoffs it can help preserve Brady's SB appearance and wins record.
  12. Stat I love: Tyreek Hill, who signed a $120 million extension in 2022, has just 366 yards and he's played all 7 Phins game this year. That's an average of 52 yards a game. Unless he's played hurt all year and can come back 100% down the line, it appears that one our our greatest nemesises (nemesi?) is on the decline. (As with Kelce). Also of note, Hill's dead cap figure is $37 million this year and $27.75 million in 2025 (cap hit of $31 million next year). So he'll be a financial burden to the Phins without providing the ROI.
  13. Spotrac says he's 11 million dead money in 2025 and just under 3.5 million in 2026. That's not the cap hit but dead money. Like it or not, he's on the team this year and next.
  14. As long as Cooper and his brother don't make social posts about his snap count, I'm good. Coop will get his catches and yards this year.
  15. Good take about messaging future corners. I forget the score at that point, but in a blowout game, that's the best time to risk a penalty to deliver such a message. And his teammates loved it. And Deon praised it after the game.
  16. I respect them too but every time I see the Chiefs play, against the Bills or otherwise, I have a sickening feeling that even if they're losing they will come back to win it on the last drive. That feeling will go away or at least be diminished when the Bills beat them in the playoffs and/or they start losing a lot of games in the regular season. To date, neither has happened.
  17. Him going out of his way to block the guy into the bench was a sign to me that he wants to be a complete team player. Was it totally smart? I think it its likely to get flagged in the future. But I like the motivation behind it.
  18. If I recall correctly, a lot of us with cautiously optimistic expectations for Keon predicted about 600 yards for the season. If he stays healthy, he's pretty much a lock to meet and likely exceed those numbers by a fair margin.
  19. Kinda reminds me of the Water Buffalo lodge. The look, the name, the color, works on so many levels...
  20. Until we beat the Chiefs in the playoffs they will always scare me. If you're not a afraid of the only unbeaten team in the league — and a team that's been to 4 Super Bowls in the past 5 years and won 3 — you're drinking stronger stuff than I am.
  21. I think there's a fair chance Brady wants Allen to stop Mahmoes chase of his records. What I like about this, regardless of Brady's motives, is that when the most successful QB of all time tells Josh he's playing "smarter" that has to be great positive reinforcement and a deterrent to going back to hero ball. I'll take it.
  22. Good game by Cook. He will get paid by someone — just hope it isn't the Bills as he's a good player but I fundamentally think you don't pay backs, just replace them.
  23. What a godd*** catch by Coleman!
  24. Minus the O-line penalties, and outstanding start on D and O.
  25. He's been very flattering to Josh and the Bills. He was our enemy on the field but he's not in the booth.
