  1. Claiming victimhood is celebrated these days. JA would probably get another endorsement deal out of it.
  2. All this goes into the "old news, who cares, nothing will come of it" bucket.
  3. I'm in if: 1) 3rd rd pick is absolute best offer; and 2) there's fruitful engagement on a reasonable extension. I'm out if: 1) asking price exceeds 3rd rd pick; and 2) it's a rental scenario. Singletary is gone after this season. Moss and Cook will never be more than rotational pieces. Bills will have to address RB in 2023 and the top couple draft picks need to go toward OL/S at this point.

  5. Morse is the lynchpin partly because everyone else has struggled mightily. That being said, I thought Morse was washed two years ago. He’s done an impressive job overcoming age and injuries.
  6. If you’re forced to pick from the scrap heap then I guess he isn’t the worst choice. The guy is washed but the realistic standard is to outplay Cam Lewis. 🤷‍♂️
  7. The context here is that Cardinals OL is banged up and awful regardless.
  8. Well obviously that’s a silly, petulant reason to hate the loss. I hate it because it shows Allen is still capable of rookie-year, fumbling, bumbling, Panic-Allen and that these bizarre, Billsy mistakes under pressure never truly go away.
  9. All that is fair. And it carries weight since Cowherd usually praises the Bills. The sloppiness at the end of games happens without fail. Allen presses. Also, he fumbles nearly every time he’s touched in the pocket but that’s a separate issue.
  10. That line has got to change by the weekend. Bills are absolutely the dog in this one. Could get ugly.
  11. Bills shouldn’t be a heavy favorite because they too often fail in tight games. That being said, they’re a hugely talented team now facing the reality of NFL attrition. Perhaps it is their turn. Anything other than 3-3 at bye would be a surprise at this point.
  12. Thankfully reality has set in that the one-score-game losing streak is far more significant than the number of 14+ point victories fans were fluffing about a week ago. It’s a far more productive viewpoint.
  13. The point/excuse about the heat has been driven home now across multiple threads. Fact is Bills weren’t prepared for it.
  14. Dolphins did a great job keeping everything in front of them and forcing check downs. Both their secondary played well and obviously pass rush had a huge impact. Consequence of Allen’s million throws was mostly just wearing out the offense.
  15. It was 8 seconds. And Bass would’ve missed again anyway.
  16. Every team has injuries. They’re not an excuse or justification. Bottom line is the Bills had that game but couldn’t execute in the clutch just like other recent, painful losses. The takeaway isn’t injuries, it’s that Bills lost in very billsy fashion and it continues to be a problem.
  17. Just one game, just one loss. But recurring themes that will undermine a playoff run eventually.
  18. I agree about McDermott. There’s always that element of executing under pressure that they continue to be lacking. And they fail in bizarre fashion reflective of mental collapse. It’s exactly why the Super Bowl hype is misplaced.
  19. Bills cannot execute in short yardage situations. OL is weak and Allen presses or panics partly because of it. They don’t execute in general in pressure spots…mentally soft in crunch time. Perhaps a reflection of coaching, who knows.
  20. Remembering the OL stinks was a nice respite from worrying about the depleted secondary.
  21. Allen’s fumble rate when hit in the pocket has to be nearly 50%.
  22. Bills turn now to struggle with injuries. Could be 3-3 realistically at bye.
  23. Bills have been so fortunate with injuries in recent years. It’s really incredible. About time attrition catches up. Between these injures and schedule, 4-2 or 3-3 at bye is realistic.
  24. Essentially. With dinged up Morse, Davis, and Knox.
