Basham has value in that he can play multiple positions and is sort of a safety net as the 9th DL. Of course, that means he won't dress every game which would be disappointing (if not unsurprising) in his soph season. I have zero interest in ever seeing Lawson and Phillips in Bills unis again. Pulling for Ankou to steal a roster spot which may bump Basham closer to the regular rotation.

Small marketers always crave national attention. Recognition can alleviate thin-skinned self-consciousness. Raiders @ Rams is a good opener.

Somebody is going to pay him...I presume for longer than 1 year. Now that Elam is in the fold, I don't mind a 1 year deal for a guy like Haden. He just can't be depended on.

Lack of depth is notable. Hopefully Miller can stay healthy and productive, but behind Rousseau, there isn't much. Really could've used that 4th round pick on Edge (or IOL obviously).

Unlikely Cowboys open the season in back to back years. Broncos makes sense for Wilson’s debut. Raiders are another interesting matchup with Adams. I’d rather see the Bills on Sunday for the opening weekend. Don’t crave the silly national spotlight. And it’d take away from opening weekend if the Bills didn’t play, or perhaps already lost.

Epenesa, Ford, and Phillips

Bills are desperate for IOL depth. One injury along the interior and it's goodnight sweet prince. Still shocked they didn't prioritize the OL more this off-season. I don't think Herbig is a fit.

Mediocre player with starting experience who can play both T/G. Better depth than what the Bills had prior to signing him. You're welcome. Not necessarily. Other options may have wanted too much money or simply didn't want to play in Buffalo. He was the best realistic choice available to them at an acceptable price point and willing to sign.

Ford better be a Bill this fall or else their backup IOL is a one-legged Boettger.

I didn’t understand this pick either. The guy can’t move. He’s a camp body in the 6th rd. Other than being tall, I’d really like to hear the rationale for taking him over a player like West. Obviously there’s rationale - just want to hear it.

Never watched this guy. I saw the silly punts at his workouts. But what about hang time, ball placement, and holding ability? They may have a punting-from-own-endzone specialist. Cool nickname though.
