  1. Five of us coming in from Dallas Sunday morning. The Real Buffalo Joe I PM’d you for tailgating details.
  2. I live in Dallas area and would be happy to use the other ticket and sit with you!
  3. McCarron to Pats?
  4. I have not read every post as I cannot read fast enough...... I believe the FA signings will be a tell tale sign what is to come in the Draft.
  5. I was a couple years behind Murphy but do recall his athletic ability (and his red hair) on basketball and football teams. Very nice, humble guy. When GB won the SB a few years ago, my wife (also Clarence grad) and I just stared at the TV (and each other) when his name was called and he accepted the trophy. It finally clicked he was the same guy. We had lost track of him after the Redskins.
  6. Not sure about the wings but I heard he ate his candy bars with a knife and fork. Heathcliff (AKA Polish Paul)
  7. I believe another critical piece to reading the defense is also knowing the offense (where the receivers are going). Not a Tyrod supporter, but in his time in Buffalo he has had multiple OC (offensive systems) and too many receivers to even remember. So he is trying to read the defense along with remember the offense AND understand how his receivers are reading the defense. Frequent changing of systems (OC/DC) is one of the factors (probably very important) as to why we had been toiling in failure for so many years. I am becoming confident that McDermott is here for the long haul. We need to establish both defensive and offensive systems that will also be in place for the long haul. I am not sold on Dennison, but changing offensive systems AGAIN may not be the panacea we all hope for. ---EDIT----- K-9 I like the way you think.
  8. I don't believe you. Bye! See you in a moment............
  9. Did you get that insider information from Dunkirk Don?
  10. Perfect time for the Webb option. He is big enough to get the 1 yard on 4 tries. Never have to worry about hand-off behind the line of scrimmage and losing yards.
  11. This. I saw some very creative play calling unfortunately with a QB who cannot pre-read a defense and completely misses big opportunities. Listen closely to Romo. I don't think you can change offensive systems every year and ever be successful.
  12. I often wonder how a near yearly change in coordinators (offensive/defensive systems) impacts the overall performance of the team & particularly the QBs we fail with. Belichek has been successful in part due to a single QB (yes a great one) but I think more importantly the offensive and defensive systems have been in place for many many years. New guys learn it and fit in while the old guys know exactly, from year to year, what their role is. We have to stop the coaching carousel and it seems we have the right guy at the top to do just this.
  13. It was a phantom hold. It was a tackle. But since the defense cannot be called for tackling, it is called holding........
  14. This brought back a painful memory. In 99 I had completed my retire @55 analysis and was more than good to go. Still working @ 61 thanks to the Telecom Train Wreck/dot-com bubble burst.................
  15. After the game(s) celebration(s) and the house got back to somewhat normal I went back and reviewed the play. The ball was clearly loose BEFORE Landry landed OOB. Another screw job as it was NOT CLEAR EVIDENCE AT ALL.
  16. How can it take multiple minutes to come back with an overturn on irrefutable evidence? It took that long to review frame by frame and find probable evidence at best.
  17. If McD can justify Tolbert as #2 RB due to leadership qualities, certainly Kyle would trump that next year.
  18. McD made a statement to that effect earlier this week. We want to understand the scrambling abilities before deciding on the starting QB. So he knows Tyrod MUST be able to run to be anything near effective.
  19. After reading several of your inputs on this subject I have concluded you are either related to Gronk, an old friend (he did grow up in Amherst), or a NE fan. I cannot justify in any shape or form being that enraged to intentionally try to inflict damage to a defenseless player (person). Not sure how you can objectively take this position. Note: I will not respond to your rebuttal as I do NOT normally voice my opinion on this site about another member, but this one I just cannot control myself.
  20. But you are still in 1st place - mid season slump is all. Plenty of talent to rise above the ashes of today.
  21. Have we all agreed that arm strength does or doesn't matter? This is why decisions by committee never work! LOL
  22. Thanks for the laugh on all 4 responses! Board needs a more of this!
