Living in Dallas I recorded all of the local news last night. There was definitely shouting and high emotion in the Cowgirls locker room after the game. Jerry emerged for his post game news conference with tears in his eyes. When asked about it he said “yes, I just left an emotional locker room “. Being a Bills fan in Dallas today is fantastic!

I need to go back and rewatch but the refs huddled and then Romo said something about a forward pass? I guess they were reviewing the rule book to see how they could hose us again? -

The motto this week was play fearless. The defense definitely heard the message. -
THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - An Emotional Loss

Shaw I look forward to your insightful analysis after each game. Thank you for your level headed contributions. Coach called out Zay pretty hard in his presser and Zay better hear it loud and clear. I would not be surprised to see him not starting next game. His blocking seems to be the only positive he brings anymore. -
I think the AFCE found the next Gronk!

I have not read every post as I cannot read fast enough...... I believe the FA signings will be a tell tale sign what is to come in the Draft.

I was a couple years behind Murphy but do recall his athletic ability (and his red hair) on basketball and football teams. Very nice, humble guy. When GB won the SB a few years ago, my wife (also Clarence grad) and I just stared at the TV (and each other) when his name was called and he accepted the trophy. It finally clicked he was the same guy. We had lost track of him after the Redskins.

Not sure about the wings but I heard he ate his candy bars with a knife and fork. Heathcliff (AKA Polish Paul) -
I believe another critical piece to reading the defense is also knowing the offense (where the receivers are going). Not a Tyrod supporter, but in his time in Buffalo he has had multiple OC (offensive systems) and too many receivers to even remember. So he is trying to read the defense along with remember the offense AND understand how his receivers are reading the defense. Frequent changing of systems (OC/DC) is one of the factors (probably very important) as to why we had been toiling in failure for so many years. I am becoming confident that McDermott is here for the long haul. We need to establish both defensive and offensive systems that will also be in place for the long haul. I am not sold on Dennison, but changing offensive systems AGAIN may not be the panacea we all hope for. ---EDIT----- K-9 I like the way you think.

Perfect time for the Webb option. He is big enough to get the 1 yard on 4 tries. Never have to worry about hand-off behind the line of scrimmage and losing yards. -
Bills vs. Jaguars Wild Card Postgame

This. I saw some very creative play calling unfortunately with a QB who cannot pre-read a defense and completely misses big opportunities. Listen closely to Romo. I don't think you can change offensive systems every year and ever be successful. -
THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - All So Improbable
Heathcliff replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I often wonder how a near yearly change in coordinators (offensive/defensive systems) impacts the overall performance of the team & particularly the QBs we fail with. Belichek has been successful in part due to a single QB (yes a great one) but I think more importantly the offensive and defensive systems have been in place for many many years. New guys learn it and fit in while the old guys know exactly, from year to year, what their role is. We have to stop the coaching carousel and it seems we have the right guy at the top to do just this. -

It was a phantom hold. It was a tackle. But since the defense cannot be called for tackling, it is called holding........ -

After the game(s) celebration(s) and the house got back to somewhat normal I went back and reviewed the play. The ball was clearly loose BEFORE Landry landed OOB. Another screw job as it was NOT CLEAR EVIDENCE AT ALL.
