  1. There’s no pipeline to fill. The OL has 9 spots on the opening day roster. Guys we pick, when we don’t have a spot open, are just picked up on the waiver wire at cut down day. Just look at the last 4 final cuts.
  2. Not happening. Edward’s was re-signed to start. We are not investing early-round draft capital on a position of strength. Bates was traded for draft capital, he was the heir apparent at C and became expendable when Edwards signed, because Edwards signed. Edwards is a more-than-capable G and McGovern will do fine at C. End of story. No IOL in rounds 1-3 and probably until the sixth round. (Unless they’re true to the board in Rd 5.) And God I hope I’m right. Let Kromer develop like he is now. He’s a very underrated/highly regarded positional coach, if that’s even possible. I think it may be more of him wanting to do his stuff his way and some HC’s get bothered by it. I say let him work his magic. Sorry for the ramble…
  3. Thank you for the clarification. I was not aware of this.
  4. Allen is in Paris. He would have to be present to sign an extension. Odd timing on Allen’s part and I hope it’s not a sign of trouble ahead.
  5. I have in my possession a game-worn Carl Byrum jockstrap and I refuse to speak any further about how it came into my possession.
  6. Do not be surprised if DeJean is who they covet. Just a hunch…and flame away.
  7. He’s a piece of garbage. But the NFL loves the little SOB because he’s a walking highlight reel. Screw the Dolphins for keeping such a POS on their squad. Because he’s a scumbag. He ain’t normal at all. He’s a damned thug. A freaking knuckle dragging troglodyte. Screw the ‘phins.
  8. Man, that’s exactly what my first thought was!!
  9. I’d say his spending weekends in jail for his previous conviction proves otherwise. As a Texan, I’d ask you to reconsider your generalizations.
  10. You understand professional football. Great post. It’s all about exploiting mismatches, usually ones that are created by an effective coach. It sounds too simple, yes, but it really boils down to this. I liken it to British Fighting Squares when it’s boiled down to its simplest form. Basically, win your matchup when able or consolidate onto the next opponent. This concept is especially important when you judge an offensive line as a unit.
  11. Miami????
  12. Exactly. He’s such a nice guy that he’d have a hard time bus-rolling someone.
  13. Roster spots. That’s why we won’t. An edge defender can play as a rookie, many receivers take a season to develop.
  14. Too many of the new guard owners are d-bags.
  15. Vet minimum with a compounding $million bonus for each sack. Ex: sack 1 - $1mil…sack 2…$2mil…sack 3 $4mil…sack 4 $8mil. The kicker? They ALL have to be wins. Every game, if we lose, he’s got his vet minimum. It would be absolutely legendary for this offer and a real jerk assassin like Suh to have the story be about him.
  16. I’m not gonna post a link, because I don’t want that smarmy SOB to get clicks, but he believes the offensive Offside shouldn’t have been called. This is from a freaking lawyer! Pattie Cakes is upset because he thinks that flags shouldn’t affect the outcomes of games. Well, which cave has that moron been living in, since his career began? Unfreakingreal.
  17. Holy crap that’s funny. It took waaay too long to get Fischer out. It’s like he had some spell on the NFL to keep his job.
  18. And we now see why arm length is really important at DT.
  19. Tell me about it. I’m becoming increasingly convinced HoofHearted is lightly associated with the team.
  20. Well holy smokes, we agree. As I just said, no play is designed to fail. You can execute a play perfectly and still “lose” that down. First blitz was a win. Second was a loss. The second blitz effectively allowed the Broncs to “try again” and I believe the “rainbow” was by design because it is more difficult to time a catch (offensively and defensively) which favors the offense. Think of it as a quasi Hail Mary except, most importantly, a DPI has to be called if it occurs. I stand by my believing Coach has finished evolving and needs to be replaced. No good comes from this organization doing a midseason change and he’s done more than enough to earn a full, final season. And to all who think this unit can rally and save the season, I sure hope so, but Allen looks nothing like himself and Coach has run out of people to blame. If he’s given another HC job, he needs to study his mentor Reid and Belichick. The buck stops with them.
  21. No play, by design, is called to fail. As an example, a FB dive is not designed to result in an 80 yard TD, but getting even 4 yards is a successful design and likely solid execution. In this case, by calling, essentially, consecutive identical blitzes, and leaving TJ alone in coverage, we gave Denver a do over and we got burned. It cannot be this difficult to understand the coach telling his QB, “If they try this again, then do this” which is EXACTLY what transpired. And I stand by my post in strongly believing Coach has reached his ceiling in this league. For this call, 12 men, and a slew of other reasons. It’s not an attack on the man, it’s just an obvious reality - at least to me and 3/5 of Wallers. Nobody has to agree with me, and clearly you do not. All I can picture is Pee-Wee Herman repeating “I know you are but what am I?” after someone calls him a name. That’s literally how you’ve treated this thread, with the redundant responses.
  22. LOL. Dude, what is going on in your head? You obviously understand traits and tendencies, based on a few responses in this thread. Calling two almost full-house blitzes in a row is not wise. I’m not gonna argue this stuff any longer - you win! Just like “Big Brain Sean” won the game last night…because if it had been an incompletion, an incompletion with one nickel back in coverage, because did I mention the whole almost full- house blitz two plays in a row thing would’ve been universally recognized by the football talking heads as “ brilliant playcalling…?” So, you go ahead and live in your world and I’ll reside in football reality. Deal?
  23. This ain’t a video game. It’s called strategy, muscle memory, tendencies, familiarity, and, most importantly- EXPERIENCE! Sean was outsmarted by a cagey vet and one of the best HC’s of our generation. If you cannot see this as, at minimum, a possibility, I can’t help you. In short, we gave them a mulligan and ate a big dic* at the end ofthe game.
  24. Yes it IS a bad defensive call.
