  1. It’s all disgusting. You can’t hold someone who’s emotionally unstable accountable for anything. I’m waiting for case law to declare cell phone use is a recognized disability and affords kids protection in the workplace via the ADA. I’ve had kids (my way to describe someone who uses a cell phone for emotional support) have full-fledged meltdowns when I tell them to put it away and focus on work. (I’m in banking) Thank you. Exactly.
  2. Beane should reach out and try to make amends. I’d imagine this is why he and coach were so drained by the whole experience. They (probably/likely) knew it was all BS but their hands were tied. You can’t come out and declare your support for an accused rapist who hasn’t yet been vindicated. Ask Michael Irvin.
  3. Makes me sick to my damned stomach. People will absolutely try to (and succeed) ruin someone’s life. The media piles on, the Shame Police piles on, the whole woke nonsense piles on. It’s ruthless, it’s wrong, and this poor kid (Araiza) is just another of many victims, not the emotionally unstable child (with crappy parents, evidently) who just ran roughshod over Araiza.
  4. Yes he was. And if Wilson looked at the team the way modern owners do now (mostly about winning) we could’ve done some damage in the 80’s. Damn, I’d love to sit down and speak with some of these old-timers.
  5. Anyone who chooses anyone other than Barry Sanders did not watch football in the late 80’s and 90’s. Mr Sanders made the worst football team in the league one of the funnest to watch. Damn he was just electric.
  6. Agreed. Based on the overall performance of last year’s OL, it won’t take long for him to seize the moment. I sure hope he’s the answer at RG for the next 15 years.
  7. Now THIS is when I’d take a chance on this kid. End of R3. Freak athlete, good kid. Other needs addressed.
  8. 5 years of starting at MLB is enough. That’s actually good value right there.
  9. I wish the damned draft would hurry up and get here.
  10. So “studying and practicing” the moves of a hall of famer to be makes one an obvious choice and a sure thing. Got it. I still feel like there’s a joke somewhere in this original post that I’m missing. 4th round? Sure. Maybe stretch into the 3rd considering our late 3. Reminds me of the pro Ed Philion lovers who were enamored with his measurables.
  11. I have a feeling they’re high on Tank Dell. Don’t ask me why, just my gut telling me this.
  12. Gisele, did you finally join the Board?
  13. Looks like he’s hired Russell Wilson’s chef.
  14. I feel like the Board has taken a turn toward a scene from the film Idiocracy.
  15. Thanks for keeping it classy and above the fray; I actually see this as a possibility.
  16. Bernard was drafted as a backup to Milano. Historically speaking, Milano has missed his fair share of games and his position is very important in our system. Bernard is not going to line up at Mike and we’re definitely not going to use 3 LB’s consistently. I don’t know how creative they’re going to be with Rapp, as he signed a one-year contract, for the minimum, and he’s a very slow DB. Heck, he’d be considered a slow LB. If, somehow, Rapp plays a large part in our game plan, it may mean we run with ONE LINEBACKER and Rapp plays the Rover role. But my gut tells me that Rapp is nothing more than a depth piece. And Bernard is not a Sam, either. He’s a backup to Matt and that’s why they picked him. Also, you must remember that his draft was one where we didn’t have a lot of holes on paper, hence the forgivable reach. Don’t throw the whole “we needed help here and there” nonsense at me. When they were assembling the roster for that season, there were very few holes. Beane is very good at assembling a pre-draft roster to minimize reaches or picking out of need. However, we cannot enter camp with the Mikes we have on the roster. I do wonder if Miles Jack has been contacted and is waiting to sign after the compensatory formula wouldn’t be impacted. He’s a good enough stop-gap and still has a lot of football left.
  17. RB is devalued in our offense. I could elaborate, but it’s pointless to do-so.
  18. If we don’t take an OT or trade back, I believe Sanders is the pick. We cannot go to camp with the MLB options we have. Sanders is a ”sort of” safe pick and with Coach talking about being a more aggressive defense, the thought of some A-gap blitzes with Drew sounds nice. I also know that Coach is drooling over having Hyde, Poyer, and Rapp. Rapp will be an in-the-box guy who they can get very creative with. I do, however, believe that an OT may end up being the pick.
