  1. Johnson has proven himself to be incapable of being a starting safety in the NFL, which is unfortunate. Actually…he’s not capable of backing up in the NFL. When an NFL player can’t get pursuit angles down it’s a major red flag. I hate it for him because I loved watching him at Miami. He was a tough MF’er and I thought it would translate to the league. We’ll see (of course) but my prediction is that he’s not brought back to the team next year. I mean, he’s a UDFA, I think, but I don’t think he’s anyone they want to bring back. He was replaced by a marginal pro talent, out of position, who was getting burned all game, in Cam Lewis. So, let’s hope one of the kids can work their way into the lineup in Hamlin. Sorry I turned this into a JJ disappointment response to DH, I’m seeing a therapist about how disappointing Johnson’s been and she said it’s better to talk about it than to keep it locked up inside me. Then again, I probably shouldn’t call my “bingo buddy” my therapist.
  2. London Fletcher is deserving. Compare his stats to Ray Lewis and you’ll be very surprised. Side note: if London was on this team…
  3. Why did we start a new thread about this? Go Bills Just kidding
  4. I like this idea. And the fact that he played for multiple teams may make it easier to accomplish something significant. How would we get this going?
  5. The league, its players and their talent, is greater than our obsession over “our team” and I love everyone for recognizing this to be true. Hope the kid comes back stronger than before the injury
  6. Rodgers is gonna come at us with everything he has next week. Go Bills
  7. So my idea is that they have to designate them before they sign the original contract, and the 5th year becomes and option, BUT the player also gets the much higher salaries of a first rounder in the original contract. The 5th year options are not lowball 1 year contracts, either. Look at what Terrell is making this year and what Oliver is making next…it’s good money.
  8. They’re drafted in their original spot, only the terms are changed. “Pick 45 would be paid as pick 32 and the team holds their rights for the additional year” You’re not leaping over another team, no picks change hands. And the player receives a higher compensation and the guaranteed salary.
  9. Hear me out…it’s bye-week and I’m bored Teams always jump on those last few picks of the first round, because they want to be able to lock a player up for that additional year of control over their rights - that 5th year. Let’s say we allow teams to offer players a salary slot of the last pick of the 1st round to all players drafted, (after round 1, of course) so that they hold their rights for the additional year, and the player is compensated “fairly” for allowing the team to do-so. When guys fall and in the intro press conference, when you hear the inevitable “we had a first round grade on…” they can prove it. Sincerely, Snappy Snackcakes Protector of The Realm Go Bills
  10. You didn’t “forget Moulds” because Eric wasn’t a part of the drought.
  11. Big Ted was in the playoffs. Is this about drought era or our favorite players?
  12. In the current NFL, I’d vote for both Clements and McGee. McGee would double as a great return man (kickoffs). Specifically to our defense, I’d pick Fletcher over Spikes and if you look at his career stats, he compares to Ray Lewis. I loved Aaron but I’d beef up the secondary in this age of the NFL. And I’d take Fletcher every day of the year over Edmunds. Edmunds seems like a good kid, but he’s a feckless leader and if you watched the sidelines during the Jags game, he was curled up at the end of the bench, to himself, and not acting as any kind of leader whatsoever. And if this is about drought era players, why is everyone throwing Moulds and Winfield in here? My God what our team would be with those guys…
  13. I heard the pop but also heard Wet A** Pu**Y playing as his soundtrack. I can’t believe we’re dealing with a mental giant here, one who’s ensuring he’s properly stretched and prepared for such a workout. Sorry.
  14. You are a good man. This is a very poignant comment.
  15. So, the food was good. I am a fried chicken fiend and it was the absolute hottest, freshest fried chicken I’ve ever had. Burned the ever-living hell out of my tongue. Good buffet overall and the staff knew everyone who entered the place by their first names. The kind of place I’d eat at regularly if it were closer.
  16. Funny…I just moved to Houston and made an overnight trip to San Antonio. On the way there, there was a sign for a restaurant- “Schoebel’s” and I thought…maybe it is. So I stopped and, sure enough, it was his family’s place.
  17. There used to be this place in Pittsboro, NC called Snappy’s or Troll’s. He had the best wings I’ve ever eaten - outside of the motherland. Then this guy Snappy got a sweet job offer down in Texas and had to close shop. However, he’s definitely going to get things going again before football season down in a town called Friendswood. Ask Gisele about Snappy….Gisele knows all about Snappy’s special sauce.
  18. Loooong time lurker and this is my very first post. This really sucks. One of my favorite football guys of all time.
