Thoughts on the pass defense?
Snappysnackcakes replied to Bermuda Triangle's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’d expect McD to be super duper extremely heavily involved in both the game plan and defensive play calling from here on out. If we put forth great defensive game plans and play, Frazier probably gets his second chance to be a HC. My spidey senses tell me that McD wants Eric Washington to take the d-coordinator helm next season. But he can’t can LF, of course. -
You, my homie, are classless.
-
Yeah, you’re right. I don’t know how some of these guys get cleared medically.
-
If you’re that player who’s gotten at least one non-rookie contract, do you seriously consider hanging it up after watching what’s gone on this season with Tua and now Damar? (A few others, too) Not many guys will do this, and I’m not claiming they should, but how can a fella not think about this when they self-evaluate after the season? Wives, parents, and, hopefully, agents need to have these conversations. We’re not at the same risk level as Bering Sea fishing, but it is not sustainable. Poyer? Dude, your body is breaking down. Micah? Walk away while you can. Mitch? Same. Saffold? Do you really need the extra $3mil? I could say something about half of our team alone. Guys may start really thinking about getting in and getting out with their health first and the wallet is just a bonus. Is this conversation too soon? Maybe.

A Few Thoughts about the AFC East Run, in no particular order
Snappysnackcakes replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
You should be a life coach for football fans. This is 1000% correct and needs to be understood by anyone who watches football. -
Diggs throwing his helmet and asking for the ball more
Snappysnackcakes replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
He’s not a diva, but he’s an “ALPHA” which has me concerned. If he were to start acting like that serial blowtorcher in Miami, I’d have to call him out. Everyone involved can prevent that from happening by giving him the damn ball whenever he wants it. Diggie, don’t get your finger dirty. -
This one hurts and reminds me (again) how fragile life is and that not one day should ever be taken for granted. Franco was, by all accounts, a tremendous guy. Tell those you love that you love them.

Oh thank God. Mods can close the thread if you want. I’m not there and just wanted to know what the odds are.

iIf they do, what’s the latest they could announce it?

The Cards definitely knew what they were getting with him. They’re the suckers. Everyone had Cody graded higher than where we picked him. (Everybody means lots of organizations)

Holy crap has he been bad tonight. I should clarify - our trade of him away…

(As Requested) Bills at Patriots 1988
Snappysnackcakes replied to Buffalo03's topic in The Stadium Wall
Thank you for this!!!!! Awesome, just incredible. Grogan was dropping dimes. Kelly had some wheels. And they sure missed Bruce. -
Kelly did need to be benched his final season. He lost “it” while we still, somehow, had a strong supporting cast. I say somehow because during that time of free agency, it was virtually impossible to keep a core together like we did. Jimbo was a wreck that final season. 1000% agree. They are the equivalent of knuckle-dragging troglodytes if they think this man doesn’t belong. His elbow is (currently) jacked and needs time. He cannot do more harm to it by throwing, so let him play. This line is not capable of blocking for a statue at quarterback if we play Keenum we lose.

Do we need to start blitzing more?
Snappysnackcakes replied to Toledo Bill's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’d expect our defense to start mixing in different, situationally appropriate blitz packages for the rest of the season - as needed. However, we’ve been slow, very slow, in recognizing screens and this will make the defensive play caller hesitant to dial-up these plays. Aside - I was surprised to see Bernard, Dodson, and Milano playing together early in the game against Cleveland, while Cleveland was deep in their own territory, too. It wasn’t many plays and they had a difficult time getting set before the snap, which is disconcerting that it happened, but likely a result of almost no real practice time together the week prior. -
Johnson has proven himself to be incapable of being a starting safety in the NFL, which is unfortunate. Actually…he’s not capable of backing up in the NFL. When an NFL player can’t get pursuit angles down it’s a major red flag. I hate it for him because I loved watching him at Miami. He was a tough MF’er and I thought it would translate to the league. We’ll see (of course) but my prediction is that he’s not brought back to the team next year. I mean, he’s a UDFA, I think, but I don’t think he’s anyone they want to bring back. He was replaced by a marginal pro talent, out of position, who was getting burned all game, in Cam Lewis. So, let’s hope one of the kids can work their way into the lineup in Hamlin. Sorry I turned this into a JJ disappointment response to DH, I’m seeing a therapist about how disappointing Johnson’s been and she said it’s better to talk about it than to keep it locked up inside me. Then again, I probably shouldn’t call my “bingo buddy” my therapist.

Former bill Sam Gash battle with cancer
Snappysnackcakes replied to Chicharito's topic in The Stadium Wall
I like this idea. And the fact that he played for multiple teams may make it easier to accomplish something significant. How would we get this going? -
The league, its players and their talent, is greater than our obsession over “our team” and I love everyone for recognizing this to be true. Hope the kid comes back stronger than before the injury
