  1. I can agree with that, especially on the points of Butler and Jefferson. I thought they'd do a lot better here. Addison has had his moments, but swap him and Hughes for Miller is a definitive upgrade. Lawson is just icing on the DE cake. at DT Phillips played well for us and hopefully we get the previous Bills version back. Star just lost his. mojo and I don't think its coming back. Settle is unproven but seems to be in the same category of Harrison Phillips so that may wash out. But I think the main thing we accomplished was getting size down the middle. And that's where we were vulnerable last year. The thing I feel best about is no matter what I think or anyone else thinks on this board, Beane and mcD know far more and they seem to understand where the holes are and fill them. We had a deeply talented roster last year and I expect this year that it will be the same. They created a culture where players want to come to play. That in itself is a small miracle, especially for the city of Buffalo.
  2. Cutting dead wood. I like to see it. Phillips, Settle and Jones are a big upgrade to the DT position.
  3. I'd like to see a run at Mariota after the dust settles. He's athletic and could run our offense effectively. He's no JA, but who is.
  4. Who cares? We got him for at least 2-3 years and he will teach the young ones a thing or two.
  5. I'll take that Von Miller punch any day of the week and twice on Sunday.
  6. over Williams and Bates for sure. Paving the road for Henry and a grinder All-Pro in LA
  7. Upgrade from Williams for sure. That's what counts. Getting better in the trenches.
  8. Sign Gronk, Chandler Jones. Kirk If the price is right: Marlon Mack, Norwell, DJ Reed. Trade or Cut: Beasley, Star Retain: Bates, Zimmer, Boettger, Wallace, McKenzie, Phillips Don't retain: Addison, Hughes, Butler, Sanders, Mongo and the remaining FA's I think Trubisky will go somewhere to start, so I'd like to keep him but its probably not going to happen. Bring in: Tyrod, Geno or Mariota to be the backup.
  9. Gabe was a 4th and Hodgins was a 6th that year. Hopefully they can be like the Wonder Twins.
  10. I was thinking some of the same. But Hodge is my wild card. The thing I remember after the draft was McD stressing that the WR's need to catch the ball. Hodge had the hands, length and strength, but his route running and timing needed work and he's not a burner. He was Gabe lite. Even that first trading camp, they seemed like the same guy until Hodge got hurt and fell behind. I was looking for a jump last year, but the room was loaded with vets and Gabe was light years ahead at this point. Gabe didn't even get his shot until Sanders got hurt. I'm very interested to see how refined Hodge is this year after learning from Sanders and Beas. He has a skill set, can he put it all together and be a viable weapon.
  11. Agreed, but it would have been nice. Hopefully G-Root and Basham take the next steps.
  12. DAMN!!! I would have made that trade any day of the week and all day Sunday. For a 2nd and a 5th we'd have our hometown boy back. Should have made this happen.
  13. They are "The Commanders". Same team, same legacy! Oh boy. Glad I don't live in that hell hole.
  14. That's actually a good list. I'd take all 6 and not look back.
  15. He did that so he'd drop past Cleveland and the Jets.
  16. This is where I'm at. We need the defense to also step up in big moments. KC was a nightmare I don't want to relive. I've seen enough over the last 40+ years. Josh can be a consistent top #5 QB in the league. Getting to best ever is going to be a process, but he has tools that very few people are gifted with. We had way too many ups and downs as a team this year and we need to be able to take care of inferior opponents and secure home field. That Jacksonville game haunted me all year and I knew it would bite us in the ass. 2022 can not be a repeat of the same mistakes.
  17. It's a weird combo. My interest in the NFL is waning due to the politicizing, pandering and general attitude of the NFL's top brass and the idiots who broadcast it. If I never hear Collinsworth speak again, it wouldn't bother me. And please keep "The Rock" away from any microphone. My interest in the Bills is as strong as ever because of the qualities, leadership and team first mentality that has been fostered here. The Bills are at an all-time high while the NFL is at an all-time low. I just hope we win a Super Bowl before it all implodes.
  18. I don't blame anybody for wanting to get out of Canada. I'd welcome his addition. He should have been our draft pick anyway. Twice we ended up with #2 and both are gone. That sucks.
