  1. I would stop wasting time talking about the impact that Brown and Star are having by not being available, because it seems that actually playing football for the Bills, and helping their teammates is a secondary concern to them. As McDermott keeps stating -"I can only worry about the players that are playing". That says it all. It's really their choice not to play. I hope next year it's someplace else.
  2. The Bills are getting utterly roasted on Good Morning Football. On every segment. Just obliterated. GMF hosts have been big Bills boosters, even after the Jags debacle and they now feel jilted. Their crushing the Bills front office for wasting a 2nd round pick on Bashum when they have NO RB's, and building a team to beat the Chiefs only, and now the Bills look like playoff pretenders, and the team in the playoffs currently to NOT make the playoffs by seasons end. Brutal. and pretty accurate assessments. The Bills extremely weak schedule is also frequently being mentioned. It's on the Bills players to save face. NOT making the playoffs would be total catastrophe .
  3. At this point I'd trade the players with the current Dolphins defensive and offensive lines straight up. Include the Dolphins D coordinator as well. Bills D has a glass jaw, has for a long time. They aren't mentally or physically tough. They just beat up on bottom feeders, with very bad QB's. Bills D will likely T-off on the Saints 3rd string QB, and eek out a win, then get trampled by the Pats (Twice). Pats rookie QB will likely only have to throw about 12 passes each game. Get ready for another decade of Pats dominance.
  4. Historically bad loss for the Bills, tons to be concerned about, and we come up with this for a Monday morning topic? Any big Joe Ferduson games we want to review? I think Joe Cribbs had a few big games we can discuss. Nonsense.
  5. Saints - Win - (Were playing another 3rd string QB, the Bills specialty) Pats - loss - (Bills can't beat physically tough teams, they just roll over like dogs) Bucs - loss Panthers - win Pats - loss - (No chance, Bills D-line is soft) Falcons - win - (Another bottom feeder our specialty) Jets - win - (See above) That's 10 - 7 and maybe the last WC slot. How far we have fallen. If Steelers win tonight Bills will be in the "In the hunt" category, after being the consensus likely AFC Conference winner three weeks ago! This Bills just aren't mentally or physically tough, and that's the NFL equivalent of being a pansy. It's pathetic to watch. Some here seem happy just to sneak into the playoff's. That's sad. The 7 seed likely plays the Titans or the Pats. Two tough teams, the Bills will cower, and roll over before. Likely Brown and Star would be back on the virus IR by then. On to 2022. Maybe Beane will draft a couple more edge rushers.
  6. Some posters are comparing this season to the Bills 89' season when they regressed after the 88' AFC Champion appearance, and then went to 4 SB's. I'm sorry but I don't see ANY Bruce Smiths - Thurmon Thomas - Kent Hull's - Darryl Talley's - Andre Reed's on this team. And I'd take a 26 YO Jim Kelly any day over Josh. This is a finesse defense, that can't take a punch in the mouth. I'm afraid the Bills will be rolled over twice by the hated Pats. After just one year, the Pats will be king of the East once again. Bill's just don't EVER seem to get that BIG players almost always beat SMALLER players. Were about to be manhandled twice by the Pats. Anybody want to compare Pats GM Belichick to Beane? It's sad.
  7. This team is just disgraceful and has no toughness. The Titans and Ravens are BOTH losing. The Bills could have been in excellent position. Instead the Bills are now afterthoughts. Here's how the season goes from here. The bills will win just one of the next three (Saints), lose to the Pats twice. end the season beating two bottom feeders (Of course it's their specialty) in front maybe 50,000 totally dispirited fans. Bills finish 9-8 out of the playoffs. Most disappointing season in Bills history. A team with major needs in the trenches on both sides of the ball, no running game, and key players like Star and Brown who care more about making a statement then actually playing football. What team in the NFL with a winning record are the ills better than? None of them.
  8. If winning was a top priority for these unvaccinated Bills players, they'd be vaccinated. 17 teams in the NFL are 95% or better vaccinated, this group includes the Pats and Titans. 4 teams are 100% vaccinated (The Raiders - Falcons - Bucs - Rams). 4 teams are less than 85% vaccinated. Likely the Bills are in this group. This info is on NFL.com. The teams in the playoff hunt that are the most vaccinated, provides them a big edge. Deservedly so.
  9. I was not quite a teen, but remembered the cut to the movie. My late dad went nuts, and called the local station in Rochester. I don't think they mentioned the final score until about 9pm I was all about the AFL in those days. The NFL played mostly conservative offences back then, with most QB's passing less than 15/20 times a game. The AFL with "The Mad Bomber (Former Bill) Daryl Lamonica" was the much more entertaining league. The NFL treated the AFL like they were dirt under their fingernails. Curt Gowdy and Al DeRogatis called the national games on NBC back then, and their broadcasts were much more exciting then stogy CBS. The Heidi game showed that the AFL was getting huge audiences, and the NFL could no longer just ignore the upstart league. The NFL-AFL merger took place two years later. No doubt the Heidi game (And Joe Namath) had an impact on that decision.
  10. The Colts game is a REAL barometer on where this team is as a serious SB contender. Colts have a premier RB in Taylor, and Wentz is a stud to bring down. Wentz beat up on the Bills when he played in Buffalo with the Eagles two years ago when the Bills were on a roll. Plus Reich is an excellent coach. This is a HUGE game for the Bills. Bills need to make a statement that aren't just a beater of bottom feeders. A lose and all the doubters have real ammunition that the Bills are a just a decent, but lacks the toughness to win big games. I'm already resting my throat for the game!!
  11. Were going to need Klein in the mix next week as Taylor on the Colts is the real deal. The Colts are a real test for the Bills. and will give us a good sense of where this team is. A win and the Bills make a decent statement, lose and I'm not sure you can take them serious as a SB contender.
  12. The Bills didn't show up. They were lazy, and were believing their press clippings that they were likely headed to SB. They got burned. Yes the O-Line is average at best, same with running backs, but this is essentially the same crew that went to AFC Championship game. I 100% trust coach that the issues will be addressed. I also believe that Josh is a superstar in the making. Were already taking him for granted. Bills likely to lose 5/6 games this year, not get a by which is almost meaningless, and might even be a detrimental in keeping momentum. Tampa never played at home in the playoffs. I see a Bills Titans Matchup once again in Nashville for the AFC. Game will be a tossup. I like our chances. Chill out. Bills are good-to-go.
  13. YESSSSSSSS!! Good news for the Bills. Great performance by the Miami Defense.
  14. Based on past Ravens games this year, I'm afraid the Ravens have the Dolphins right where they want them! The refs seem to be helping them!!
  15. Maybe my eyes are deceiving me? Bills seem to be getting a HUGE benefit of the doubt by NFL prognosticators around the league. I guess with the Bills it's ALL about Josh, and the defense? Maybe NOT a solid offensive line is overrated? I have my doubts. I hope they end up being right!
  16. Crossing finger that the Dolphins can hang on. Their D is having a GREAT game (So far).Be a BIG plus for the Bills.
  17. No we don't. And obviously nobody else wants him either. Teams are desperate for quality receivers currently. He's currently selling Term Life Insurance somewhere. We need quality offensive lineman, Stat! This is a pointless thread.
  18. All obvious points to make. There is NO rational reason for Beane to sit on his hands at the trade deadline. His obviously believing the press accolades that head his way. It's pure arrogance. The league is full of bottom feeders just looking to get draft picks at this point. Even team with less than 3 wins will still have better offensive lineman available than Ford, Feliciano and Boettger. Probably a 4th or 5th round pick would have pried a few of these away. Now were stuck with garbage. Same with running backs. The Bills are now totally exposed by the likes of the Dolphins and the pathetic Jags that the offense can't take a punch in the mouth. They'll be lucky to beat Belichick once, if that. Looks like 10-7 and maybe a wild card spot. And if they lose to the Jets (Not unthinkable now) 9-8. Who have they beat?
  19. Where are the big plays from this offense? Nothing this year..... Absolutely no running game this year except quarterback. Offensive line is bottom of the barrel. Friends, this is NOT a Super Bowl team. Patriots are taking care of business. Well, the Bills had a nice one year run. It's VERY possible that the dreaded Patriots take the AFC East.
  20. Same old problems. Zero help from the running backs. You can't win in the playoffs with NO running game... Offensive line... Offensive. Bills have issues.
  21. Reid's kids have been out of control since early in his Philly days. Two of his sons, Garrett and Britt, both had troubled pasts. In 2007, both were arrested for drug, and illegal weapon related crimes in Philly. At the sentencing hearing, the judge referred to the Reid household as an “Out of control drug emporium.” A search of their home uncovered a plethora of prescription and illegal elicit drugs. Philly sports writers at the time thought Reid should take time off and tend to his family. He didn't miss one game or practice. Later Reid made son Britt a coach on the Chiefs who had no previous coaching experience at ANY level. This obvious nepotism didn't make Britt a responsible citizen. Reid might be a good coach, but he's a lousy father.
  22. Lots of tough talk regarding the Patriots here. Who have the Bills beaten? Nobody. The Chiefs are currently rated the 14th best team in the league. The Bills schedule is a cavalcade of the leagues worst bottom dwellers. They need to spank someone good. If the Bills lose to the 3-5 Colts at home, it would indicate the Bills as frauds. The Patriots have a solid offensive line, a large and stout defensive line, and punishing running backs. All bad ingredients for the Bills. I hate the Pats, and Belichick. But I believe the Bills almost comically favorable schedule makes them susceptible to teams that play physical football. The Bills would be doing well to beat the Pats once. The Bill's aren't a top 10 team until they beat someone.
  23. All this talk about our home field advantage playing in bad weather in January is over-hyped. Given the changes in climate according to the National Weather Service website, it is just as likely that a game played in OP in mid-January could be played in 50 degrees and cloudy skies Vs. temperatures below 32F. and even less likely (About 15%) to be played in snow during the game. The last 5 January's in Buffalo have been way above normal, and snow totals way below normal. Of course nothing is guaranteed, but all the comments on this headline have acted like a nasty weather is a foregone conclusion. I for one would hope for snow, but highly unlikely. FYI, I still worry about BOTH our Patriot's games. Those games will NOT be a walk in the park.
  24. Because of Allen, who's NOT a running back. If they don't find a consistent running game, the season is a mirage. The Bills RB's have been piling up yards late in games because the Bills have had big leads against bad teams. I don't count garbage time yards in the 4th quarter. Your numbers are meaningless. The Bills RB's are a huge albatross on this team.. Period.
  25. Playing mostly league lightweights all year sets the Bills up for loses like today. How playoff ready are the Bills going to be when 90% of their wins are against losing teams? Plus you don't win a Super Bowl with no actual productive running backs. Cut Breida and bring in Todd Gurley. He was a bruiser just 2 years ago, and he's only 27. There is nothing to lose. What's Brieda doing? If the Bills don't find a running game, this season is mostly a mirage.
