Sal Capaccio tweets starters... Spencer Brown and more...
FLFan replied to Sierra Foothills's topic in The Stadium Wall
The two things are not at all related. Jones is a ST player and will dress for that reason, each week. Cook and Moss will be interesting. I expect both to dress most of the time. There may be weeks where they do not see a role for Cook, but I think that will be rare. -
There is zero chance he comes back here. He is done as a player and the coaching staff and management are done with him.

PFT: Can the Bills thrive under the weight of high expectations?
FLFan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
The premise of the article is a valid question, but in typical Florio style, it lacks any real substance. Another clickbait hit piece from the master of poor analysis. -
Week 1: Bills at Rams on TNF in NFL Kickoff Game
FLFan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Is there a reason why this thread is not pinned? It would be helpful if it was, as per tradition. -
Is Boston Media finally starting to sour on Bilicheat?
FLFan replied to muppy's topic in The Stadium Wall
Belicheat is well past his “use by” date. The longer he stays in place in NE, the longer that team will be irrelevant. This articles does a great job of explaining why. Could not happen to a nicer guy. He should have ridden into the sunset when he was still relatively on top when Brady left. His ego would not let him. -
I simply do not understand how anyone could be expected to take anything seriously that is being said by a grown man who calls himself Booger.

Thats always been a big part of the problem with Hodgins, going back to the draft. 1. Lack of strength 2. Lack of speed These are still his issues today. He does not have the speed or skills to gain separation downfield and he lacks the strength to contribute on special teams, to block, and to fight for the ball. I thought his physicality in the receiving game was better this year, but not enough. He just does not stand out. I think it is highly unlikely someone claims him and puts him on the active roster, but if so, good for him.

Our new punter will be (Update pg. 38 - Martin Signed)

You are right. My bad. -
Our new punter will be (Update pg. 38 - Martin Signed)

Maguire was a good punter, when he was not too hung over to connect with the ball. (just kidding. RIP Paul, al legendary character in Bills history) -
At first I thought you were being sarcastic.. Unfortunately not. He will not be able to practice with the team until after the first 4 weeks. This likely means 6 weeks or more before we see him in a game. This is not ideal, but survivable. The priority should be, and seems to be, to make sure he is fully healthy before putting him out there.

Yes, but if you can make an argument it was due to depth at WR or TE, let’s hear it. The misfires on offense had more to do with limited weapons at RB and poor OL play, combined with outright stubbornness of Brian Daboll at times. In my opinion, the Bills have addressed the most problematic areas, upgrading the OL, and upgrading the OL coaching significantly. Cook addresses a very specific problem quite nicely. I think the offense has more options than a year ago, and let’s face facts: neither Beasley or Sanders are in the NFL at this point, so their loss is not exactly earth shattering. Yes, it remains to be seen if they have done enough, but It is not reasonable to say they have failed to address issues on offense. They have. I do do wish the Howard thing would have worked, but given his play since the injury, this result is not surprising.

If more people would keep to the point it would work better.

Belichick: September might be an extended preseason

FilthyBeast’s alter ego. -
I can’t imagine the stretch in logic that leads you to link these two things.

I suspect these are cuts that are not priority for resigning to the PS. Those they will save for a mass cutdown in hopes they will get lost in the wash with the hundreds of others being cut at the same time around the league. Stevenson is fairly close to getting back. I doubt he will go on a season long IR list.
-
Hodgins has certainly made this a tough decision for the Bills. He seems to be a more reliable receiver than Kumerow, but really does not get separation down the field. Their evaluation of his ST performance will be a key factor. Frankly, if either of these guys ends up playing significant snaps at WR the Bills are in trouble. My guess is still that they keep Kumerow and IR or PUP Stevenson who has more WR and ST upside due to his speed.

Same thing with Morris vs. Sweeney.

Bills “trying to run the clock out” on Tre’Davious White PUP list decision
FLFan replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall
Players on PUP cannot practice with the team. So, if they put him on the list, he would be eligible to come back after week 4, and he can be activated and play, or remain inactive and begin practicing with the team. They have 21 days at that point to activate him. It is highly unlikely, like 0% probability, that the Bills would play White without practice time. 2 or 3 weeks of practice is likely. The Bye is week 7. i am sure they are hoping that Tre will be ready to work out with the team and begin practicing in the next few weeks. In that case it would make sense to keep him off PUP and carry him on the active roster. If that is not the case, and they resort to a PUP designation, you are probably looking at week 8. -
Old time TBD posters returning - another byproduct of Bills success
FLFan replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
I believe highfootballiq, who got chased, is back as FilthyBeast. -
Valid points but I think it is also valid to say that Hodgins does not posses the speed or physicality that would set him apart from other bottom of the roster type WRs. If they think they can afford a seventh WR with other roster priorities he probably sticks, but I do not think he beats out Kumerow, unfortunately.
-
Strictly academic argument at this point since the Bills just gave Gilliam a pretty nice extension. It’s safe to say he not going anywhere. Neither is Moss.

I had not heard that. Very sad. -
You can beat the horse all you want, but neither Moss or Epenesa are getting traded. Both are slated for significant rotational roles. Moss is Singletary’s replacement next year and their insurance if he gets hurt or underperforms this year. Epenesa looks to be the their top rotational DE, clearly number 3 on the depth chart right now.

I hope so.
