I certainly hope so.

It’s too bad that the Steelers have no idea what a steal they just made.
-
As one would expect from a Chiefs fan trolling a Bills board.

Beane is doing exactly what he said he was going to do in free agency so far. He said they would not be big players early, and other than a couple of cheaper signings, they are not. He said they will be looking for value as it progresses and I am sure they will. If people were expecting some big splash signing I am not quite sure how they got to that expectation. I expect a safety signing before too long, and additional Dl depth. Post June 1, there may be an opportunity similar to Floyd last year. They will have more money than when Tre’s savings kick in. Patience.

Maybe so, but they were not NFL good for several years. The Bills need a FS and are going to need to sign someone. It is very disappointing that they are dragging their feet on this one, but I am sure thee is a plan.

The only way it makes sense is if the guarantee is basically league minimum and the rest incentives. For a player whose game is based on speed, is already 27, and coming off an ACL tear, anything else is a huge gamble.

Yes, a hard worker who lacks the talent to justify that commitment. Good luck to him. Hope you are being sarcastic, because Davis played 95 % of the snaps the past two years. Nothing but chances.

Too much for this player for the Bills. He was a total non factor in the last quarter of the season and playoffs. Thanks for the memories, but goodbye.
-
The obvious plan is to get younger at WR. They are targeting a WR in round 1 and will likely move up to get him. They may sign a FA or two for camp competition, but otherwise, no major FA signings at WR should be expected.

Great move for the Bills. I still expect a bargain signing similar to the Floyd deal post June 1 but they can roll with this.
-
This is a solid move in my mind. Is there even another safety on the roster? Rapp is at least a known quantity and he knows their scheme. They are not done with this position so let’s see what they have in mind, but if people envisioned somehow capturing lightening in a bottle again with Hyde and Poyer replacements, I think they should adjust their short term expectations.

Very well said. Thank you.

UPDATE: SIGNED Bills looking at bringing back Trubisky per Tim Graham

I support taking a shot at a guy who can develop into a long term backup, but it would suicidal to count on a late round rookie to be the primary backup. They need a competent veteran behind Josh. -
Could the Bills be looking at Denver?
FLFan replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
Too much to invest in receivers when you have no QB. I agree. This does not work for the Bills. The correct path is to get younger and cheaper at WR in the out years of the Diggs contract. -
Even so, if you are Denver, better to take the cap pain now rather than suffer through another year of the anti-leader and mediocre player that is Russel Wilson. They need to start building their team.
-
They will compete, but will not achieve any dominance or sustained success with either their woefully over classed head coach or their very limited QB. The pattern of the last two years, late season collapse, is the sustainable one for the Dolphins. I do not blame them if they make this move that could well be their best option, but let’s not fool ourselves into believing this puts them ahead of the Bills.

Or, please hold your breath …

Bills official offseason Cap moves thread.

Unfortunately, trading Knox if that is even possible opens a significant hole in their roster. The contract is a problem, but that overpay does not change the fact that they need someone with his skill set. -
Bills add Miami Hurricanes DB coach Jahmile Addae to coach secondary
FLFan replied to Gregg's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Bills had three coaches who have been being groomed by McD. Washington, Butler, and Babich. He deferred the decision a year after Frazier left. No doubt all three of those guys knew the score. All there were more than competent coaches. All three showed at least some leadership potential to be part of that. McD ultimately chose Babich. Washington got his DC job. Butler did not. This is an example of outstanding organizational management and development. There is literally no other way to interpret it. The fact that Butler chose to react the way he did to the disappointment of not getting this critical leadership role supports the decision to not give him the job IMO. Good luck to him. He is a good DB coach. Not everyone is cut out for leadership. -

And can't get out of the way of one either.
