  1. People need to chill out. Much like Miami, I think the Bills made this game closer than it needed to be thanks to uncomplimentary football…and yet the Bills won by 12 points and scored 30+ again. You can find fault in both the offense and defense. The drive start for New Orleans was ridiculous in the first half and the defense surrendered 3 points…that’s good. But they consistently gave up big yardage on the ground and allowed NO to keep drives alive which chewed up time. Offense looked unstoppable at times but also stalled out for like 3 or 4 drives in a row. Plus they botched a 4th and inches play which looked horrendous until you realized the new RT accidentally tripped on his pull. STILL…in the end they put up 31 points. So you can find blame on both sides of the ball. It’s a good thing the Super Bowl isn’t played during Week 5!
  2. The most disappointing part of this game was the pass rush. To anyone that’s going to blame Miami’s quick passing attack - Tua’s average time to throw was 2.74 seconds - the most since 2023. His career is 2.43 seconds. The Bills just weren’t getting home. They actually hit Tua just one time the entire game. Hoecht and Ogunjobi will help displace Javon Solomon and TJ Sanders respectively. That should be an improvement in both run and pass rush. Walker will rotate and TJ Sanders will sit the bench with Landon Jackson.
  3. Give us a summary of what he says
  4. right… it has nothing to do with McDermott’s scheme. He plays that far off because he has to
  5. TJ Sanders is the lowest defensive tackle at his position. I don’t think he played a very good game. Also, Tua’s time in the pocket before a throw was 2.74 seconds. His most since last season.
  6. Up: 1. Cook 2. Kincaid 3. Elijah Moore Down: 1. Tre 2. Groot 3. TJ Sanders First off the pass rush sucked all night. They didn’t get close to an immobile QB against a bad offensive line. Ironically they performed better against a mobile QB and a decent OL the week before. I’m hoping the potential is there and I do think Ed Oliver will help. Tre White was horrible. Babich made the perfect call with a corner blitz on Tua. Tre had him dead to rights and just whiffed. Plus whenever Tua needed a completion he looked to Waddle in 1V1 coverage against Tre. At this point, I think they look to work in Strong and eventually Harrison. TJ Sanders looks like a mix between Boogie Basham and DeWayne Carter. That’s not good. He might as well be the invisible man He also missed a sack on Tua on 3rd down which would have given Buffalo the ball back before the half. That could have changed the game. Tre didn’t play well
  7. It’s ironic how Walker was thought of to be more of a project, and yet he’s significantly outplayed TJ Sanders and Landon Jackson.
  8. They usually make it out to at least the 30 anyway. So I don’t think the risk of a TD or getting better field position is worth the 5 yards. Just kick it out of the endzone
  9. The problem we’re seeing is a team that can’t off the field on 3rd down. We saw the same thing last season. I think a big problem is a DL that has lots of resources but doesn’t rush the passer and a weak CB2 spot in Tre White. They really should considering having Mad Max or Strong take some reps later in the season. Can’t get much worse
  10. I think so. That’s why so many of us wanted to add speed at WR that could threaten with deep shots.
  11. This is very true. The Dolphins could have been the drought era Bills tonight with the massive line and the assumption that they would roll over dead. Instead they fought the whole way but made the crucial mistake at the end to lose the game. Fans build up their hopes a little, only to have it crushing back down. In the end they are more frustrated. 2006 Bills vs. New England 2007 Bills vs. Dallas So many examples
  12. Only concern about Williams is that while he’s very athletic, he’ll often get faked out and be a step behind in coverage. I can see Mike McDaniel dialing up some misdirection and trying to feed Achane both as a runner and reciever
  13. I’ll be he returns after the bye.
  14. This was my first inclination. But then again, are we sure the players really want to go to war for McDaniel? They already had to doomed “players only” meeting and Tua seemed to throw him under the bus in his post game interview. It reminds me of Rex Ryan in 2016 after mid season. You think the teams wants to fight for him but they didn’t give a *****. I can see this one being close but can also see it going the other way.
  15. if he can improve a little bit as a pass catcher then I think there’s a chance he could replace Knox who is useful but highly paid. The big question make in Kincaid who has an option coming up after this season. If they pick up his option, I can see them moving on from Knox. But that’s a big “if” now
  16. Joe is a smart OC. He’s making use of the talent that he has. There’s times when the Bills WR’s (sans Palmer) struggle with separation against good CB’s. You saw this early on in the Baltimore game and thats why I think he dialed up some screens. Going into the game against NYJ the Bills knew they could move the ball on the ground and it became a focus. So they didn’t really even need to pass. I’m guessing the reason you reason you’re saying this is because Allen isn’t slinging the ball around through the air like he did when Dorsey was at the helm. I’m fine with that
  17. Tre and Bosa are healthy so I don’t think they’ll be sitting. But I wouldn’t be surprised if Milano and Oliver are out
  18. I don’t think it’s anything serious. Might miss the game on a short week but he should be good long term
  19. No it happened Wednesday in practice Yeah I feel for him. He always seemed like a very good guy. To your point, he should be able to recover from the ACL before preseason begins. But then his competition will be Ed Oliver, TJ Sanders, and Deonne Walker in year 2. I supposed he’d have a chance to compete at 1-Tech but that’s not really his speciality and there will likely be more competition. So yeah, and extremely tough road ahead for Carter who was already in a tough spot
  20. Damn it sucks. But honestly, I don’t think he was playing much this season anyway. He probably would’ve been a healthy scratch as he was last season. I like the draft pick at the time but I’ve never been overly impressed with Carter, sans 1 or 2 plays against Tennessee last season. You can blame the injury if you want, but his tape last year was really bad. It’s not coincidence the Bills drafted 2 players at Carter’s same position this year. Beane said they were hoping to move him to 1-Tech but that’s not his natural position and I don’t feel it would have went well He never was average in the NFL. His play was below average most of the time His film wasn’t that great. He made one good stop against Tennessee
  21. Like I said, his play hovers between average to below average. He started 14 games last season and he wasn’t really a liability. He doesn’t have any “Kair Elam games” on his resume
  22. Damar has clear limitations. He’s a fringe average/below average starter at safety. But Buffalo has a fairly large sample size of using him in a way where he can do enough without hurting the defense. You can say the same thing for other safeties on the team. i don’t buy that Buffalo brought him back because of emotional attachment. He signed for just over the vet minimum as special teamer and insurance at safety. If they had their way Bishop would be starting. But he can’t stay on the field and when he has, he’s been bad. So if you cut Damar what are your options? Darrick Forrest (sucks)? Cam Lewis (injured)? Jordan Hancock (injured)?
  23. I have never been impressed with Carter. Watch his reps against lineman that will be cut in a few weeks. He was blown off the ball a few times. Now compare Carter to another prospect like Deone Walker. He too was blown off the ball vs. the run. However he did show several flashes getting after the QB. He’s not ready to start but you can find a role for him. I can’t say the same thing about Carter, I'm not sure he is in the roster beyond week 8. That’s not really true. With a few exceptions, he’s been solid. There’s a lot of B’s and a few B+’s. His problem continues to be that beyond Josh, he doesn’t really have an A or A+ pick on the roster. His defense is that Buffalo has been picking toward the bottom of the draft over the past 5 seasons. This is a factor. But at some point he needs to really find 1-2 All Pro players. This is what is lacking on his resume IMO
  24. I thought he was watching Buffalo Joe Anddreeson dropping into the wrong spot on pass coverage
  25. He was very very bad the time he started in Pittsburgh. Mitch is actually a good athlete with a decent arm for a QB. He can do SOME of things like Josh can out of sequence. But he mostly checks the ball down or scrambles for a few yards. You don’t see many big time throws. I know it was frustrating for Steeler fans In the game against NYG I thought he did a better job pushing the ball downfield than he had in the past
