Wrist injury for both Coleman and Smoot. Good news is that the other players with wrist injuries - Cooper and Benford - should be back next week.

It seems like NY rarely reverse judgement calls like holding or DPI, though they probably should. Another bad call was the helmet-to-helmet on Rapp when it was clear Mostert was the one who lowered his head. With all of the penalties effecting games this season, I’d be surprised if they don’t do more with replay assist next season.

It didn’t look like intentional headhunting. He tried to lower the boom with his shoulder and ended up clipping Coleman’s facemask with the top of helmet. Textbook penalty. Tough spot for Poyer though. If he didn’t go for the big hit and Coleman catches the pass he gets criticized for lack of effort.

He’s not a great tackler and isn’t good against the run. Lewis or Ingram give them more in Dime

It seemed like Miami played them the same way Houston did and didn’t feel threatened by their outside WR’s. Cooper adds such an important dynamic to the offense

The decision to go for the FG - right or wrong?

Not completely sure they release him tomorrow but the narrative around Bass is totally different. That kick was huge in multiple ways -
The decision to go for the FG - right or wrong?
JohnNord replied to Matt_In_NH's topic in The Stadium Wall
You’re probably right, it was risky putting Bass in that moment. I think a big factor in the decision was the time remaining. If Bass does miss that FG it leaves :05 seconds on the clock maybe less. Tua doesn’t have the arm for a Hail Mary there and I’m not sure the time left would be enough for a completion and a TO. Even if it is, what are the chances of Sanders making a 61 yard-FG? Probably good, considering the track record of opposing kickers at the end of a game versus Bills 🤣 I didn’t think Bass was going to be anywhere close but thankfully he proved Everton OL wrong and maybe got some confidence back. That kick would’ve been good from 65 -
Andreessen fined. Fitz offers to pay it.

The post game fines are such a joke, especially when penalty was called. Fining Buffalo Joe on that awesome tackle is a joke -

Ever notice how so many Bills games have this season have been presented by the media as a “must win?” The opposing team is portrayed as fired up and desperate, makign them extra dangerous. Week 2 - Miami needs to send a message Week 3 - Jacksonville can’t go 0-3 to start the season Week 6 - Jets can’t go 2-4. They need to win for their coaches. Week 8 - Seattle can’t lose ground to SF Week 9 - Miami can’t go 2-6. I think all of these are exaggerations and I’ve never been a fan of calling a game a “must win” unless it truly is. -

That’s because Miami is missing almost half of their starters on defense - including 3 out of their 4 best players. Also, lines are based most only on past trends. And almost all of them favor Buffalo. Of course…this is why you play the games -
Courtyard Marriot in Niagara Falls near the Casino. Probably $150 less than what you’re looking at. 25 minute drive into Buffalo though

I heard him say that too. I think it’s passing situations

Week 9, Fish v. Bills, PREDICT THE SCORE!
JohnNord replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
I get that Miami is fighting to keep their season alive but there’s no reason the Bills should lose this game. As we saw last time these teams met, the Bills are the more physical team on both sides of the ball. I get that Miami’s offense will be better with Tua at the helm but Buffalo should have Taron and Bernard and Taylor Rapp has played much better over the past few weeks. On offense there is no excuse not to score points. Miami’s defense will be missing: Bradley Chubb Jaylen Phillips Zach Sieler Javon Holland Kader Kohou Keep in mind the Miami defense struggled when healthy in week 2. Now they’ll fill 4 of those spots with backup level players. If Buffalo can’t win the games they should come away with, I think it’s a red flag for their championship prospects. -
Agreed… health is more important home field. The bye is the best part about the #1 seed. But again… it didn’t help Baltimore last season and the year before it almost didn’t help KC as they narrowly beat Cincinnati. Like I said, good teams can win anywhere.
-
The first round bye is nice but as we saw last season, home field isn’t the end-all some portray it to be. Kansas City was able to beat Buffalo and Baltimore in their building on consecutive weeks. If you’re a good team, it doesn’t matter where you play. So unless your team can’t play in winter weather, I don’t think it’s completely necessary.

TNF. Jets Texans. Who do we want to win tonight?

That’s an outlier. Chiefs are likely sunk if Mahomes get injured. We saw what happened to Cincy and Baltimore when their QB’s went down. -

The sacks he took around the red zone were just bush league *****. I think Fairborn made one and missed the other. Much like Josh I think CJ was trying to overcompensate due to bad pass pro and underwhelming WR’s. But he was still bad -

You could say the same thing about any team in the NFL -

Wow first off what a horrible game. But for weeks I’ve been hearing how Houston is a Super Bowl contender. Remember the narrative about Stefon Diggs wanting to go to Houston because they have a better chance at winning a Super Bowl? Stroud was pressured bad and not having Diggs or Collins hurt for sure. But he took some inexcusable sacks and fumbled the football in the red zone. He also completed like 50% of his passes. Between this game and the game against Buffalo (with the exception of Q1), I’m not too impressed with any facet of the Texans football team. They’ll probably still win the AFC South and Collins will probably help the offense. But I don’t see the team coming anywhere near the lofty expectations set in the preseason. -
They said the same thing about Shady

Edwards is one of the more strange cases we’re seen in Buffalo. Usually when fans call for a player to get more time (Elam) it’s because they aren’t better than the players in front of them. I find it hard to believe that a veteran like Edwards who played at a high level in TB and KC isn’t good enough to play on Sunday.

Agreed. The knock on Hamlin is a lack overall athleticism for his position. He has never lacked heart and has a good understanding of the defense -
It has to be Mario. He beat his production in Houston and had his three best seasons in Buffalo on the way to be named an All-Pro in 2014. Of course, he also dropped on a cliff a season later and was washed FAST. But the bottom line is that for 3 seasons the Bills got what they paid for. Von is a little different. His run started off really well. But the ACL injury not only killed half of his 2022, but also 2023 when he spent the entire season recovering. Right now he’s a situational pass rusher. While he did take a pay cut I don’t think his production matched his contract. Of course, if he leads Buffalo to a SB which is a long shot, his contract is worth every penny
