Elam was fine today. Bishop hasn’t played a lot and players all develop on their own time. Just because a rookie 2nd rounder that is still learning the defense struggled today, doesn’t mean he’s a bust

Ever see Belichick’s record without Brady? -

He deserves credit too. Clearly both Beane, McDermott and Brady were all on the same page with what they wanted to do on offense -

There’s a lot of truth to this. Many here assumed that by saying he wanted a “balanced offense” McDermott was looking to ground and pound. They also complained “McDermott is taking the air out of the football.” But the pass heavy games called by Dorsey were problematic. Defenses could sit back in Cover 2 to counter the pass and the Bills weren’t good enough to take advantage of weak boxes. The running game had added a new dimension to the offense this season. I also think we need to give a ton of credit to Joe Brady who changed the identity of the offense he inherited last season. -
It’s not like Buffalo was playing the top offense in the NFL or anything…
-
Williams left the game with an injury. He came back in the 4th. And yes, it was better when Williams returned to the defense.

They were picking on Spector and Cole. At some point, they should consider Eddie or Buffalo Joe. Spector struggles when he’s in

Well they got the win against the top offensive team in the NFL. There’s a lot to work on defense as well. I’m sure they will look at the tape and use yesterday as a chance to improve.

The throw to St. Brown was almost a fluke too. Bernard was in position and got hands on the ball but it was thrown so well that it went right to him. One of those right time-right place plays that are almost impossible to duplicate

Well said… I think some people forget that the Bills played the best offense in the NFL today while missing almost their entire secondary.
-
You mean the best 3rd down defense in the NFL that was also #2 in defensive EPA? He’ll be back by the playoffs

I don’t know - I think it’s tough to kick the ball perfectly like the kick by Detroit today. Also you’re asking your kicker to do a lot. Not only kicking the ball perfectly but also delivering a big collision and possibly coming out of the scum with the football. That’s less than ideal and you don’t want your kicker hurt. I think the new kicking rules make it harder to pull that off. IIRC Pike laid out the Oiler going for the ball and Christie recovered.

It looks very bad on paper but I think the score today was a bit misleading. That long TD pass to Amon was almost a fluke. Bernard got a hand on it but it still went directly to him. Also the Bills were using players like Baylon Spector and Cole Bishop and Detroit picked on both repeatedly. They have a LOT to work on on defense. But enjoy this win

Defense is built to stop average and below offenses.

Here’s what you wrote: Chiefs are 1 of only 5 teams to not have scored 30 points this season. The other 4 (Jets, Patriots, Raiders, Giants) have combines record of 10-42. Their offense has been bad this year. Please tell me where you said MORE than 30 points? How are the Bills offensive numbers mid? Last time I checked Detroit and Buffalo were 1 and 2 for EPA per play on offense. -

No that is wrong. Chiefs scored 30 points against Tampa Bay on 11/04 and then against Carolina on 11/24. Where is everyone getting this misinformation from? https://www.chiefs.com/schedule/ -

We’re never gonna see eye to eye on this topic. In a few months, we should have a better idea on where this argument stands. In all honesty, I have to say it’s been fun going back and forth. I appreciate how you’ve stuck to debating the issues w/o resorting to insults etc. -

It sounds like he really believes a running back could account for 2 scores Ten points….TEN It’s the whole chicken vs. the egg argument. I’m assuming that both have been issues -
This was before my time as a Bills fan. What was it like playing against this DL? I know that Buffalo had a good team in 1980 and 1981. Gotta be honest - that’s an awesome name for a bowling team

LOL unlike some people here, I actually fix my errors quickly. You responded before I had a chance. I’ve already detailed why I discussed the offense in that playoff loss. It’s because they were equally as big of a reason why the team was sent packing. -

Sure, defense struggled and got off to a bad start. They also only allowed 13 points over the next 3 quarters. The Bills could only score 10. There were multiple times that the Bills offense had a shot to get back into the game and they failed. There’s a reason Diggs exploded on the sideline - that side of the ball also played like crap. The defense completely sucked that game and should have been able to advantage of an injured Bengals OL. But the offense was almost as bad - which goes against the “defense always lets down Josh in the playoffs narrative” “Cardinals scored quite a bit?” They scored 21 points on offense. By the way his stat was wrong about Kansas City. They’ve scored 30 points 2X this season. I agree - we’ll see the theory tomorrow -

Where are you getting information from? They’ve score 30 points twice this season.
