Star Lotulelei OUT with COVID - Could Miss Next Week Too
JohnNord replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall
We don’t know for sure. This summer he was not vaccinated and I remember McDermott being asked about it. If he still is not vaccinated then yeah he won’t be back for 10 days which means he can’t play until Thanksgiving. This is a big loss IMO. Dropping this game and/or Indy can really hurt their chances this season -
Star Lotulelei OUT with COVID - Could Miss Next Week Too

Man this sucks. Not so much for this week because I think the jets will try to throw the ball, but also because Star had COVID earlier this season and was not vaccinated. That means he’s out for 10 days, and it means he’ll miss the game against Indy which could be a huge loss -
Ok then I’ll say Greg wasn’t very high on Allen. I used to hear him on One Bills Live every Friday with John Murphy and he would break down the Bills game from the previous week. Like you said, the thing that Greg always hammered Josh on was mechanics and decision making during his first two seasons. It happened nearly every week. He did say at the time that Josh already turned out to be a better QB than he projected. For Cosell to go from these critics to saying that Allen be one of the top Qb’s in the NFL is quite a jump

By cornerback standards Levi is not a very good athlete so what he’s been able to achieve is incredible. - Walk on - earns a starting job at Alabama - UDFA - earns a starting with Buffalo - Holds onto starting job for 2 seasons while the teams has been trying to replace him I can see Levi getting an offer that too good to pass up, though he does seem to be happy in Buffalo

For $60 a month I will Pee on your TV too

I really hope Pittsburgh loses but I hate seeing players, especially QB’s getting pulled at the last second for COVID. Hoping the Bills get some good luck this year
-
This seems to be consensus from just about everyone. Hopefully they can implement these changes. Cosell’s comments on Josh are interesting. He was not a fan of Josh as a QB prospect and during his first few seasons

I totally agree. He’s not the same player…at least not on the Rams offense. Still the OBJ signing happened before that injury. The timing of this is so crazy

Buffalo Bills rooting interests, Week 10

NE will find a way to win. I picked them in my survivor pool -
I think this is a fun article but a little bit far fetched. You’re not getting help from the PS at this point in the year

Tua fractured finger and hurt. Won't play... Again...
JohnNord replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
There’s no chance Miami goes to that great of a length to protect the psyche of Tua - who they have been actively trying to replace for almost a year. Flores started Brissett because he thought he gave Miami the best to chance to win. He really wasn’t playing well and was holding onto the ball for a long time. The Miami defense was playing great and keeping Baltimore off the score board. So after an injury to an already struggling QB, Flores made the switch to Tua because he thought he’d give them a better chance to win. Im surprised at some of the reactions to Tua here. I didn’t think he played particularly well. But he didn’t make mistakes which is good enough when the Miami defense is playing that well. -

What big time throw did Tua make? I saw a 50/50 ball and a 52 yard pass to Gaskin on a busted play. -

If it’s the long completion to Waddle, it looked he threw his entire arm into the pass…it traveled maybe 40 yards in the air. I didn’t come away from this game being overly impressed with Tua. -

It’s gonna suck when NE destroys them -
Good for Gruden. He got screwed

Tua ended up getting the win but he looked very shaky. He nearly fumbled and allowed Baltimore to take control of the game. He was also very lucky to take advantage of a breakdown that resulted in wide open Gaskin. Tua is a dude that’s easy to like but he’s a game manager at QB at his best -
Oh Sammy...I don't miss you. Pathetic effort here.
JohnNord replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall
I wouldn’t say that. Williams was a miss but at the time he was a bonafide top 5 selection and thought of to be a future All Pro LT. It didn’t work out but it wasn’t a bad pick. Also Buffalo didn’t have to trade up for him. Flowers was another bad pick…but again bottom of the 1st round. I think Aaron Maybin would be a better choice that Flowers. That was a major reach and it backfired -
What the Ravens loss (and many other bad losses) should teach us
JohnNord replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Gotta look at the overall sample size. How many “bad losses” does McDermott have? I can only think of a couple. IMO that’s a good sign but it shows that nothing is a given victory in the NFL -

QB was a factor for sure. But so was Sammy’s effort and mindset. He admitted to “partying” every night and came to practice hung over. While very talented, I think there’s something about lack of dedication and work ethic that has prevented him achieving more. Take a look at his career stats - they are pretty bad -

Gotcha… some people will try to use the fact that he won a ring as proof that he was a great player. For me, he was one of the most disappointing draft picks of the past 20 years. Taking Sammy was so I’ll advised and really set the franchise back for a few years until Beane and McDermott could clean up the mess I don’t know how you can argue otherwise, though some Bills fans will feed you a million excuses. I feel that Sammy was sold to the fan base as a J’Marr Chase type WR, and his impact was no where close. He’s underwhelmed with every team he’s played for. -
Didn’t something happen where Del gave the Bills permission to use “Bills Mafia” on merchandise? Maybe that’s what I’m thinking of

I love how people will defend Sammy by saying “he got a ring.” So did UB’s Demone Harris. Doesn’t mean he’s a great player
