  1. I'll be at the Northstar here in San Francisco at 9 am. I watched the Bills-giants at 7 am in Hawaii last year. That was too early. You cant drink at 7 am. Anyway- cant wait for tomorrow.
  2. the Rams paly in a market that is babseball crazy and indifferent to football (they already lost the Cards). They have a stadium that is not extremely old, but the team has a provision that allows for them to leave if the stadium is not renovated so that it is in the top tier with the new stadiums. It doesn't look like they will get the money. In addition, the owner is very close frioends and business partners with the guy that is building a stadium in LA and wants a team there. He has made no indication that he is loyal to St. Louis. The Rams will be back in LA in in 2 years.
  3. That is a stupid comment. The Raiders, Jacksonville and Rams are troubled franchises. The Bills are not.
  4. I bet there are about 5 people that live in that part of Nevada and 60,005 when burning man is going on.
  5. I recall a bunch of F 16s when the Bills played the Raiders in the playoffs. There was a random fly over about 6 or 7 years ago when the Bills played the dolphins. They had 2 A -10s fly over. It was a December game with no significance so I don't know why they did that. 4 helicopters flew over the first outdoor NHL game at the Ralph.
  6. Get well Ralph only 11 days until the opener.
  7. Broncos schedule: Steelers H Falcons A Texans H Raiders H Pats A Chargers A Saints H Bengals A Panthers A Chargers H Chiefs A Tampa H Raiders A Ravens A Browns H Chiefs H that is a tough schedule. I'd say 8 wins at best and as low as 6. They could start the season 1-4.
  8. I think that a 12-4 record might be a bit ambitious for the Broncos.
  9. When someone cites "his athleticism" when they have no other way to describe skills. Obviously, they are athletic or they wouldn't be on an NFL field. Also when a bad team surprises everyone and does well, the analyst usually will say something like "right now, they are just having fun out there" because they don't know what the reasons are for the success.
  10. I was at the Bills-Oilers comeback game and I woudl choose to go back and re watch that one. That was a great day.
  11. Interestingly, Costas and Al Michaels touched on this yesterday during the Olympic wrap-up and with Michaels saying he'd like to see Bolt try out and cited some past examples of sprinters that made it in the NFL. Costas said that he made too much money a year and didn't need to get hit. I agree with Bob on this one.
  12. I'm more in favor of a lower drinking age but a tougher stance if a young person abuses the privilege and gets a DUI. It doesn't make sense that you can vote and get drafted but can't enjoy a cold beer once in a while.
  13. Terrible. The Olympics never end up benefiting the host city long term and end up costing so much money it can cause serious financial problems like in Athens. It would cost tons of money and heap scorn on Buffalo. If we thought some of the comments from the World Jrs. were bad- wait until the glitterati, press and and weathy euros from around the world show up in WNY. We thought Tom Brady's dad hated our hotels? That would seem like a nothing compared to what we would hear. Lets just get an NHL all star game.
  14. I'd go with '85. Things got pretty good quickly after that, though.
  15. I'd rather take the $200 million estimate on renovation and put in another $175-200 million and build a new stadium. Teams with new stadiums are secure teams.
  16. Ha! We should start working on a scenario of this type now.
  17. I think 10 but 11 is possible.
  18. I'd definitely get back to Buffalo for the victory celebration and parade. I'd try to go to the game if possible, but nothing would stop me from getting back right after. I'd get drunk and run around like a fool with everyone else. It would be madness.
  19. The beginning part of that rant sounds like gibberish.
  20. I forgot Friday Night Lights. That was good and the TV show was as well. The other movies I didn't care for much.
  21. They already had a Bills related movie a few years back, right? Something about a replacement team? I don't think football related movies are very good except Rudy and the original Longest Yard.
  22. He was probably drinking merlot with ice. As fans we are doomed. Totally f...ed.
  23. Zero chance. Vince Young was brought in for this type of thing.
  24. Wishful thnking. Even the deep pocket people in LA that already have the money are having a hard time getting their stadium done and identifying a team to purchase. And they have been working at this for a while. This guy doesn't even have the money and he has a vague notion of what he wants. He has no shot. He will never be an owner. Thanks for making some noise. Maybe his radio show was dropping in the ratings and he needed something to talk about.
  25. I always liked Eric. He had it tough because he played through a parade of QBs and coordinators for many years. I think that if you took a poll of former players, you would have far far more that think like Eric and a smaller group that think like Willis McGahee.I was just back in Buffalo last weekend and it was about as nice as weather can be anywhere in the US outside of Maui and San Diego. I can only imagine what oppossing players face from Buffalo fans. I thinnk these kinds of shenanigans are not limited to Miami or any city really.
