I drove back from college with my friend Matt. I've known Matt since I was two. Anyway, when things looked grim at the half I remember telling Matt that if they don't come out, score and then hold the Oilers, we may as well go since we had to drive 5 +hours. Well we didn't score and hold them (as we all know) but I remember Matt and I agreed this would be last game for the year so we may as well tough it out. We stayed the rest was history. Recall the surreal feeling in the stadium after the win. That is the best sporting event I have ever been to still to this day.

UPDATE: QB Vince Young Signs With Buffalo Bills

As long as he doesn't say anything about Dream Teams. -
SO glad Shanahan said no to Ralph...

I agree. The coach/GM hybrid has not worked since way back in the day when Al Davis was successful at it with the Raiders(Wayyyyyy back in the day). You have to have a checks and balances system. -
I remember he drove off a cliff around the time he was involved with that horrible little troll Tila Tequila and she had him charged with domestic abuse. That was the first time that there seemed to be warning signs of trouble.

Her knees are way too sharp for my taste. -
We haven't got seats yet, but we will get a block as we get closer. Mark (North star owner) has good connections and our other avenue is to contact the Bills and get the tickets through them. They have given us seats out of their reserved block in the past. I need to speak with Mark. We will have a package for everything included. We just did the Sabres bus to San Jose and it was $100 with ticket, bus and beer. I expect a similar package for this. I have coordinated with several fans on this board in the past. I am sure many of you will plan to be go again. I definitely expect bigger numbers this year.
-
I will be going with the Bills Backers group out of the North Star. We'll have a bus, tickets and party of some sort. I'll actually be planning it with Mark, the bar owner. We will have a good group and we always get big crowds for the Bills and Sabres. I have a feeling this year might be the biggest one yet since the Niners and Bills should both be good. Lets keep in touch as the game gets closer and the plans become more clear.

Ah... a radio staring contest.

I went to that game. The stadium was great and the Bills destroyed the Seahawks. We went out in Seattle for a few nights and had a blast. I would go back for a game there in a heartbeat.

It has definitely cooled. If you recall, the main ownership group planned to announce that a team was moving to LA during the two weeks leading to a Super Bowl LAST YEAR. They also said The Bills and Jags were top targets before they realized they were not. I never thought the Bills were much for moving to LA anyway. The Rams, Raiders and Chargers are all far more likely. If the Bills truly do resurge this year and season tickets spike and the renovations to the Ralph are on track and a long term lease (that is tough to break) gets signed they will go nowhere. Two years ago none of those things seemed possible. Now they all seem possible. Plus there are several wealthy guys with the money and interest to keep them in Buffalo. The threat of a move to LA or TO is diminishing.

Cowboys at Giants on NBC to open 2012 NFL season
SF Bills Fan replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Great- another year with the mediocre and overexposed Cowboys getting primetime games they do not deserve. I predict they will grace us with at least 4 primetime games. -
Agreed, we were a team of all-Pros and Hall of Famers in the making and they were a good team, but not stand team out by any means. If you ranked all the teams that have won a Super Bowl, they would not be very high on the list. They over achieved that one day and we played sub-par at best (think of Andre's drop over the middle when he was wide open after the safety). Even with them playing the best possible game they could have played it was still in doubt to the very end with them all on their knees praying for divine intervention to make the ball go wide right.

Exactly. Thurman would have had 300 yards in that game if we did that. If NY adjusted to stop that, Kelly would have killed them in the air. We got outcoached plain and simple. Great now I am all worked up.

DE Mark Anderson in Buffalo (SIGNED)
SF Bills Fan replied to SKRAAPY's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Quick- get him over to Jim's house and get some deer in the backyard. -
Three words "cue the deer".
-
It sounds like Jim was pretty influential in persuading Mario that Buffalo is a good place to live. And the nine deer in the backyard helped greatly. I can just see the scene at the house as Mario roles up....."Cue the deer"

Mario Williams: Officially a Buffalo Bill

I was hoping someone took him to the Sabres game. That is one time you can count on downtown Buffalo being somewhat lively. Thurman is a regular at Sabres games too. -

Bravo.....and that concludes this thread -
This article was written by a travel writer. It is thinly disguised as a stadium ranking. San Francisco is the hands down worst stadium in the league and even the fans out here would love to have it blown up. She grudingly ranked Green Bay as #1 with the caveat that it is not a travel destination. Her editor probaly drew the line when she tried to rank San Diego as the best stadium. I can agree that Ralph wilson Stadium itself is not a great stadium, but the tailgating is great. There was a ridiculous artcile on Yahoo last year that ranked tailgating around the league and had the noted tailgating "hotspots" of Miami and Houston (where you cannot even tailgate) on the list and left off Buffalo.
-
so true. Last night was one of those performances that even Sharks fans had to grudgingly applaud. If you are a fan of hockey then you admire it no matter what team you root for. Miller delivered the win last night with a highlight reel. If we make the playoffs, he will be the reason.
-
Yeah- it was a great time. I don't think I have high fived that many people in my life. I saw little toddlers in Sabres gear all the way up to guys that were probably at the aud for the first Sabres game in 1970. It was good energy. It seems like they are getting some momentum. If Miller stays hot, maybe we can sneak and be dangerous?

Was at the game last night in SJ- Miller was awesome. Great showing by the Buffalo fans too. I saw a Korab jersey. It brings tears to the eyes.
