This article was written by a travel writer. It is thinly disguised as a stadium ranking. San Francisco is the hands down worst stadium in the league and even the fans out here would love to have it blown up. She grudingly ranked Green Bay as #1 with the caveat that it is not a travel destination. Her editor probaly drew the line when she tried to rank San Diego as the best stadium. I can agree that Ralph wilson Stadium itself is not a great stadium, but the tailgating is great. There was a ridiculous artcile on Yahoo last year that ranked tailgating around the league and had the noted tailgating "hotspots" of Miami and Houston (where you cannot even tailgate) on the list and left off Buffalo.

so true. Last night was one of those performances that even Sharks fans had to grudgingly applaud. If you are a fan of hockey then you admire it no matter what team you root for. Miller delivered the win last night with a highlight reel. If we make the playoffs, he will be the reason.

Yeah- it was a great time. I don't think I have high fived that many people in my life. I saw little toddlers in Sabres gear all the way up to guys that were probably at the aud for the first Sabres game in 1970. It was good energy. It seems like they are getting some momentum. If Miller stays hot, maybe we can sneak and be dangerous?

Was at the game last night in SJ- Miller was awesome. Great showing by the Buffalo fans too. I saw a Korab jersey. It brings tears to the eyes.

Great article by Tim Graham in B News

Interestingly, there was an article today in the St. Louis magazine with the same theme of "we must prepare for the innevitable loss". Actually, that article more or less states that the Rams move is a done deal and lists some compelling reasons. This article is not so gloomy. I think the Rams, Chargers and Raiders are all in far more danger of relocation. The Bills could certainly move, but I think that they- like the Vikings- are more likely to stay put. -
Exactly. It is almost too obvious

The Niners would be a perfect fit. They need receivers. Their best receiver this season was Vernon Davis. Crabtree is not getting it done.

When Ralph moves on there will be local interests that makes sure the Bills stay in Buffalo. The league will make sure someone local gets first crack. If not then the team will be open to outside bids but by that point the Rams or the Raiders or both will be in Los Angles and the Toronto thing is losing steam. It would make zero sense to move to Orlando, San Antonio or Portland as the market would not be vastly larger when you consider the fact that buffalo Rochester and Toronto are 5 million or so. Plus a new owner would need a new stadium in those places and they would make less than the team is now. When owners clamor that moving the bills to a bigger market would make more money i ask how so. Tv ratings in LA for the NFL would go up by .00005 percent over what they are now. The fans are already watching. If a bigger market is such a huge deal then why was Houston allowed to move to Nashville and The Rams to St. Louis? Did revenues and TV ratings go down when they did? At some point you just need to have stability and reward tradition. If the Bills went to Toronto I coukd envision late season games with no one in the stands especially if the team was bad. In Buffalo, the fans go because that is what they have done for 50 years. the author of that article is grasping this. Toronto should be happy with the one game they get. The Bills moving ? Slim chance. If I were a Rams fan I would be worried.

Brady just slammed the Buffalo area

Who cares? I heard the downtown hotels were shabby until recently. I think they did a big upgrade on Hyatt and the new Embassy suites in the Avant is supposed to be really nice. With the Lafayette undergoing renovation and the Mansion on Delaware there are some great boutique options. If you complained now, it would show that you are too lazy or cheap to get a nice one . There is defitely a grain of truth to his statement though. I am sure he stayed in some crappy rooms at some point. -
This has been a pretty entertaining game

Anybody Watch "Namath" on HBO?
SF Bills Fan replied to RevWarRifleman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I met Namath years ago. He was one of the nicest coolest guys you could ever meet. His body is definitely broken down from his career. -
I think the Giants are tougher and more physical than the Pats. I think the Giants will win.

Cops Undercover at NFC Title Game
SF Bills Fan replied to judman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am out here in San Francisco and I think thus is a great idea. Everyone thinks that the Raiders crowd is dangerous, but I think it us actually San Francisco that is worse. There are punks at every NFL stadium and Buffalo has its fair share but San Francisco is the worst I have ever seen at any stadium and I have been to a lot of away Bills games. Ive seen gangs of little punks just running down the concourse hitting and shoving everyone in away jerseys jumping people from behind etc. it is definitely not the sophisticated wine and cheese crowd. Think MS-13 and Nortenos in Niner jerseys and you get the picture. -
ESPN Article on Bills in NY...

Very savvy move. The single easiest way he can buy votes in the WNY area. I have been impressed with Cuomo so far. Does anyone think Patterson would have done anything like this? -

Buffalo won't move to LA
SF Bills Fan replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Jags would be worth 500 million more right off the top by moving to LA. No lease is in breakable. If this guy wants to go, he will and no lawsuit will stop it. He could pay out the city of Jacksonville to settle and still make far more. In terms of showing a loss due to poor attendance, it is obvious the Jags do not draw and they can manipulate the books to show a loss if needed. This is the beginning of the end for the Jags in Jacksonville. -

Ha! Awesome -
I've heard from everyone who met Marv that he is a great guy. Very cool!
-
He should have been canned halfway through the game. Everything about this team is so pitiful right now.

That Monday night game a few years back was a nightmare. I don't even get into the rest of our history with them. This will be a very satisfying win.

FORBES: 7 Pro Teams on Verge of Collapse
SF Bills Fan replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Have you ever seen some of the other Forbes lists? There is zero logic. One list will have Buffalo in the top place to live and the next week, there will be a list that ranks it as one of the most miserable cities. They constantly contradict themselves. P.S. I am crazy but not paranoid.
