  1. I would like it if the media said Fred was not and elite back and they ranked the Bills 32. I want us to be the underdog every week.
  2. That was a bad call. The league seems to want to outlaw tackling. Chuck Bednarik would get flagged on every play in the modern NFL.
  3. Beating the Bengals in Cincy will be as tough as the the game today. Then we play the Giants and Philly. No cakewalk fellas.
  4. 4 picks! I love it. All of them were great.
  5. The Patriots have shown in the past that they are pretty deep. When someone goes down, they just plug a new guy in and they don't miss a beat. They still have the best player in the most important position and that is all that matters for them.
  6. Buffalo is still more of a "Takin Care of Business" by BTO town.
  7. I think this is the one game in this series so far that the Bills fans in WNY might want to consider making the trip to. I know there are some hardcore Bills fans in Toronto and I am sure they will be up for this, but I am not sure if they alone can make up for the general malaise of a normal Bills in Toronto game.
  8. Cool- I'll keep an eye out for you. I normally hang over by the door so I can get outside and pace. I wear an an ancient blue Bills hat. Northstar is pretty cool- they have cheap Labatts on ice for every game. It can get pretty hazy by games end.
  9. It sure was. We've had some big crowds so far and I am sure this week will be a critical mass. I'll be there that weekend so I am sure I will see you. What jersey will you be wearing?
  10. We had a similar reaction out here in San Francisco. I almost got tackled by one of my delirious friends into the street in front of a car. At least I would have gone out on a high note.
  11. If they beat Brady and the Pats in the AFC championship in Buffalo, then maybe that would be cause to storm the field. Even then, it is iffy. Next weekend is certainly not the time to do it.
  12. Gorski thought he was in the drivers seat and that if the Bills left, another NFL team would move in. Which demonstrated that he had zero clue as to what was going on beyond the city limits. It was a typical politician that still thought Buffalo was one fo the wealthiest and largest cities in the nation.
  13. That was the most nervous I have been watching a game in years. I spent a good chuck of the second half outside because I couldn't watch. I thought they actually caught that last hail mary. I almost fainted.
  14. Great game! I watched over in San Francisco at the Bills bar here. There were a few Raider fans watching with us- good guys. What a game! You guys will be fine. I expect you will challenge the Chargers for the west. Goood luck!
  15. I got so drunk that I just found out we won when I read this thread.
  16. He can't be all bad. He gave us an extra win last year.
  17. That is some tame smack talk. It made my blood actually cool down.
  18. I'd like to think Buffalo fans would be helpful too. I can guarantee they would not be in Oakland.
  19. The first Super Bowl loss against the Giants when we missed the kick. Then all the other Super Bowls in order and then the Tennessee playoff game.
  20. Lieweke tried to talk the Bills and was flat out told NO. The Bills, if you recall, were at the top of the list of teams they wanted to poach. They have since fallen off most lists. I am surprised they were still mentioend here. The Niners will never leave the Bay Area. They have as much of a chance of going to LA as the Bears would. The Chargers will be the team that moves and you can expect an announcement after the season ends. They will never get a new stadium in San Diego. It is also very possible that the Rams will also move back to become the second team in LA. The current owner is on the board for the stadium commission in LA and has very strong ties to Philip Anschutz, who is trying to get a team. Only and only if Ralph Wilson passes away within 2 years will the Bills be in danger of moving to LA. After 3 years, the Bills are secure. Nobody is going to pay over a billion to outbid Golisano or the Jacobs or whoever to move the team to San Antonio or Portland, OR.
  21. That is a well written article, though he did take a few liberties. I'm from O and I agree that the apple orchards are long gone, but there are some pretty damn nice areas. I don't think he was hard on Buffalo, I think it was accurate, just like his assessment of Fitzpatrick. Good, but not great. But good enough might be all we need. I like that Fitz says that Buffalo is his favorite place to live when he compares it to stops in Cincy and St. Louis. I think that speaks volumes about the city.
  22. Just move to LA and end the silly charade.
  23. I wonder where the tipping point for franchise valuations are? The point where it doesn't make sense to buy a team because the ROI is too little compared to the cost? There will always be people that are waelthy enough to buy a team like Warren Buffet, Larry Ellison etc, but would they want to? It would seem that at some point in the not too distant future, there will come a point where buying a team in a smaller market, like Minn or St. Louis won't make sense becasue you will need to take on too much debt and need a new stadium (that you will need to fund) in order to make money, but even then you will pay over a billion and make 20 million a year. Even with a strong league like the NFL and projected growth in revenue, it just seems like it won't make sense.
  24. The Sabres will get the Cup within 3 years. I've resigned to the fact the Bills will never win the Super Bowl. It will be cool when the Cup is paraded around Buffalo and we can all bask in its glory. I want to drink a beer out of it.
