  1. Where are the wings? Thank God they got the cheese curds on there. We all know cheese curds. http://travel.yahoo.com/p-interests-35710989
  2. My expectations going in to this season are realistic and I feel that we don't have a very good team. A good deal of the negative things that the press has to say is warranted and the Bills need to earn respect. But this is a whole new level of asshatery. These guys get paid to say this stuff? Do they just run out of things to say and just start talking gibberish? This team should be an improvement over last years team that won 6 games. Do these guys even think before they spout this nonsense? I never do things like emailing to call people out, but I will look forward to it later in the year. If these guys still have a job. What happens if we win Sunday? What is Miami then?
  3. I'd say we hit rock bottom already, last year.
  4. As fans we get all rankled when someone calls us bad. Until he proves himself this year, this is where Trent should be ranked. Same with the Bills- until we pile up some regular season wins and earn respect, we are going to be ranked low and we need to accept it. The preseason has been pretty good so far, so I have some confidence that we will be an improved team and Trent will have a decent season, at the least.
  5. Right about the Bills- wrong on the Raiders.
  6. "Not a Chance" and "Are you Insane" are too similar. Change one to "Just Fall Short" or "Slight Chance".
  7. Who cares? He paid $25,000 for the team. If he paid a billion a few years back and were leveraged to the gills and it gropped, then it might be bad.
  8. Not bad. Worthy in my book.
  9. I think that is a bit premature to say. I think they are on the downside, but still have the ability to beat us twice and contend for the division and more.
  10. The 49'ers will end up staying in San Francisco. There is an alternative stadium being proposed in a big redevelopment called Hunters Point. It will end up being a better deal than if they moved to Santa Clara. The team will have to pay far more out of pocket to build down the highway. They asked the NFL for money, but the stadium fund was used up by the Jets. The Yorks are notoriously cheap, they will not pay the $700 million needed to bridge the gap. This is a huge bluff to get a better deal from San Francisco. Really they just want to speed alng the stadium in San Francisco which has been stalled since the days of Eddie Debartolo.
  11. As others indicated- Sabres are switching back to the old logos (the 3rd jersey this year). The new 3rd jersey will be the one that the old Bisons hockey team wore that has a soda pop top on it.
  12. Duffs (especially since the President just was there), Albright-Knox, a tour of some of the neighborhoods. I'd take them to the Falls and show them UB on the way so they know that there is a school in the area almost as large or in some cases larger than the one they went to. I'd take them to somewhere like Chophouse for dinner and then let them have some fun on Chippewa. The waterfront is a work in progress right now, so I'd make a quick swing by to let them know that there are big plans.
  13. Syhuang nailed it. You can't really grade a draft until at least 3 years out. Right now, everyone is merely speculating.
  14. I heard that. I thought it was hilarious.
  15. You sound like a loyal fan and that is great. But stop posting these silly "Bills are moving!" posts. There is no indication the Bills will move and there are several other teams that are in far more jeopardy of moving. These posts pop up every few weeks and the madness has to stop.
  16. Burke built this team perfectly for international play like this. Things are more fluid in the Olympics. It's like the Sabres a few years back when we were able to take advantage of the new rules it played perfectly to our speed. Adding Drury was pure genius. I guarantee that guy took over the locker room and provided the leadership like he did in Buffalo a few years back. Nice to see Kane come alive too. This team is hitting it's stride at the right time. Bring on Canada!
  17. Wow- what a massacre. How did the Fins get this far?
  18. Someone should inquire and see what it is all about.
  19. Russia was a team filled with great individual talent. They were not a cohesive team, though. That was very evident last night. Switzerland played as a more cohesive team and had great games against both the US and Canada. Canada and the US are the best two overall teams in this tournament and I think they will both end up playing Sunday for the gold. We might end up with a thrilling rematch on Sunday.
  20. What a game! Canada will still be contending for gold. I'd hate to play them again. If Miller keeps playing at this level, we have a shot.
  21. It's a farce. What a stupid decision. Showing ice dancing over one of the most exciting events of the Olympics thus far? Way to go NBC. With the whole Conan-Leno thing and this kind of decision, you have to wonder how these boneheads still have jobs.
  22. I agree with people that say a stadium needs to be built closer to Canada. The Niagara Falls area would make most sense to make it easier for Canadian fans and fans from Rochester to get to it. It would be no harder for people from Buffalo to get to than RWS is now. It would be easier. Plus the options for fans needing hotels would be much better. I say force the Senecas to pony up a bigger share of the casino cash to help pay for it. They would benefit big time.
  23. It will be interesting to see if the other owners allow this sale. They are pretty picky about who gets in the club. If there are red flags in his past, that might nix it. I'd rather just see the Rams go back to LA. They never should have left were it not for the fact that Georgia Fontiere saw some short term benefit to moving from the second largest market to a middle tier market that is really a baseball town and had already lost a team and didn't seem to care. If the Rams were still in LA, the value would be well over a billion dollars and they would have far more potential for making money. Way to go Georgia, nice vision.
  24. 100-1? The odds are better than I thought they would be. They are trying to collect some sucker bets.
