  1. I saw the promo last night and I don't think it looks terrible- I'll give it a shot. I think the topic is good and the Rock is a pretty likable star. HBO generally puts out quality series like this.
  2. Niners fans can thank Jed York for completely mismanaging the team to where they are now. I drove by the new stadium yesterday and, while it is nice, they completely botched the location. that was just the first bad decision he went with several years ago. Getting rid of Harbaugh was the most recent. These retiring are a fallout from that. It is a prime example of taking something not broken and breaking it to pieces. They could have won the Superbowl a few years ago and now they may not even make 4 wins this year.
  3. Bills are more advanced in their progress and rebuild right now. I fell they will make mayoffs this year. Sabres are 2-3 years from serious contention.
  4. I was there- still the best sporting event I've ever attended.
  5. Orton was pretty good at getting rid of the ball quickly or throwing it away if he felt the pressure. He had the instincts if a journeyman vet for that. He made some bad throws and was lucky to have Woods and Sammy bail him out with a great catch.
  6. With this squad of receivers he would kill it. We would have a damn good shot at winning the whole thing. Brady likewise. Rivers and Luck and P Manning would round out my dream list, but Manning could get killed with this O-line.
  7. Damn- imagine walking into the alley thinking you'd have an average day at the lanes then you see all of them there.
  8. I panicked more today when I couldn't find the beers I really wanted at the store.
  9. Goodell is an extremely intelligent guy and media savvy. He was able to survive the controversy around Ray Rice that would have taken many others down. I hope he is generous when we need the new stadium. The NFL can kick in 100 s of millions when needed.
  10. It's pretty crazy how things have changed in the years since Brady made the comment about the hotels. Now there is the Lafayette, Lofts on Pearl, two Marriotts including the new full service one, the Hilton diagonal from the Lafayette and the Embassy Suites. In addition, Croce has the new boutique hotel in the works and the nicest of them all, the Westin, is going up. Thank you, Tom- someone listened.
  11. Yeah- was just there this weekend- wore my Bill hat- had numerous people yell Go Bills! A couple people talked about Rex Ryan turning it around.
  12. Both teams seem to be turning the corner. McDavid or Eichel- both are franchise cornerstones. I talked with a die hard Niner fan at a picnic today and he thinks the Bills will be one of the most interesting teams this year. The offensive weapons on that roster are awesome. They are relevant again.
  13. Not quite the 70's Raiders but you may be on to something.
  14. I gotta go with London here. That would be a surreal experience.
  15. Me neither. Same with Super bowl XXV. Can't stand it.
  16. Wow- what a great experience! I am gaining serious optimism daily on the the things I hear (granted, I have happy ears) coming from McCoy and Rex Ryan and Harvin. It truly sounds like there has been a massive cultural shift starting with the Pegulas and trickling on down. A guy like Rex Ryan would have never ever considered Buffalo a few years ago. now, I bet there would be a line at the door for the vacancy. People look at the roster (minus QB) with envy.
  17. I think we got a great steal with this guy.
  18. I'm going Thurman based on his versatility as a back catching passes out of the backfield. OJ number 2 then CG.
  19. This should not even be debated. He is not at all
  20. I'd take a gay midget on the O-line if he was a lights out LT. Who cares who they like?
  21. I'd rather focus on getting players for the O-line. This is my biggest concern outside of QB, however, we can address this piece more easily than QB.
  22. Buffalo would benefit from an NFL team in Toronto. It would be best to have an NFC team. I think there are many Toronto Bills fans that would remain loyal. In fact interest in the NFL would only uptick, I think. I'm notboppossed to Bon Jovi and his gang getting a different team. Plus we coukd destroy Toronto in another sport.
  23. I think the real story here is that tires used to be $18 and you could put four of them on your $5000 Lincoln Continental and drive home to your state of the art $229 AM/FM stereo. What a glorious time it was
