  1. I plan on driving up to Ralph Wilson Stadium for the opener vs the Jets. For people who have been to the stadium more than me, do you prefer the 100s or 300s? The 100s are closer to the field, but the 300s are higher up. When I went last year, I sat in Section 329. Do you prefer seats in the 100 sections or 300 sections?
  2. Wow, the womans team is getting demolished. UCONN is about to win their 4th championship in a row and their coach is about to pass John Wooden for most division 1 championships.
  3. Outside of Syracuse and New York, Jim Boeheim is viewed as the biggest d**k in college basketball, moreso than John Calipari and Coach K. Some of the reasons are the Bernie Fine situation, being a d**k to the media, the suspension he served this season, and past cheating. I disagree with this and believe that K and Cal and even other coaches are bigger d***s than Boeheim. But what do you think about it? Congrats Syracuse for making the Final Four!
  4. Hey, one of the pros of being in a Power 5 Conference
  5. Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter Not only are Rams doing this summer's Hard Knocks, they also are expected to play a regular-season game in 2018 in China.
  6. On TNT right now...Buffalo is up 12-6 on Miami as of the posting.
  7. Based on pictures, I like the Courtyard Marriott from the outside. From the inside, the Courtyard definitely looks newer and a little nicer IMO. But the Embassy has a free and from what I heard, a better breakfast than the Courtyard. And the Embassy looks just as nice. I wish the new Buffalo Westin would be open in September, but it is nit opening until November I believe.
  8. Thanks for the help. I wish the new Buffalo Westin would be open in September, but that is not opening until November 1st. What I like about the Embassy is the free breakfast. I will be staying at the hotel a few days so obviously the free breakfast will be nice. And many people say that Embassy has awesome breakfasts. But the Courtyard looks really nice though, and the other Bills message board is saying the Courtyard. The voting is 5 for the Courtyard and 2 for Embassy on the other board. One other poster recommended the Blue Dolphin Hotel, but obviously that was a joke after looking that up.
  9. I know it is very early before tickets are released, but I would like to have an idea on where to stay. I have narrowed it down to Courtyard Marriott Downtown Buffalo or Embassy Suites. I didn't like the Adams Mark last year, and some people said the Hyatt wasn't as nice as others, and the Hilton Garden looks eh. So between the Courtyard Marriott or the Embassy Suites since they both cost the same, where would you rather stay?
  10. So next season, my boss (who is a huge Jets fan, unfortunately) is only allowing me to go to one game and stay up here for 3-4 days in September. The reason why I created my thread on the excitement of home games next season is to see what home game I should attend next season in September. I plan on just going to the home opener. I live in the NY Metro Area, so I can really only do the 1 game. So I have a few questions on my second year going up to Buffalo: 1. In general, what is there to do in Buffalo? I am planning on leaving Friday morning and leaving Monday Morning so I will have Saturday to tour around. Last year when I went I arrived on Saturday Night and left after the game. But what are some fun things to do in Buffalo on Saturday? And yes, I am already planning to go up to Niagara Falls that Saturday when I go. 2. What are some other good restaurants? Last year I went to the 716 Bar at Harborcenter. While the bar was a very good atmosphere and the big tvs were cool, in my opinion the food wasn't the greatest. I will go there again probably, but what are some other good places for a nice dinner in Downtown? I remember seeing a place called Pearl Street Brewery when walking to the 716 Bar and is that place worth a try? 3. What is the best hotel for 3-4 nights? I stayed at the Adams Mark and was not impressed. It was fine for a one night stay, but other than that I didn't like it. I also thought of Harborcenter but that is too expensive in my opinion for my stay. Hotels I have been looking at are the Courtyard Marriott, Doubletree, Embassy Suites, Hyatt, and Hilton Garden Inn. 4. At night, I remember seeing this taxi that had a bar on it. Where could I find that "taxi."
  11. 1. *Patriots: Obviously the best game. Attended the game last year in September and had a blast. Unfortunately they couldn't pull off the comeback though. 2. New York: Another rivalry. Living here in the NY Metro Area, all I could hear and see was Jets fans and it was getting on my nerves. I enjoyed rubbing it in to them after we knocked them out of the playoffs. 3. Steelers: Could be considered a rival. The Steelers are one of the lead favorites to win it all next season. 4. Cardinals Cardinals were really good last season, and probably will be again. What a great game to upset them! 5. Dolphins Would be fun as a division rival, but watching on TV, the Dolphin games seem to not have the energy like other games. Once we are winning by 20, the crowd fizzles out and quiets down it seems. 6. Cleveland: Despite the Browns being irreverent, still when the Browns travel to Buffalo, those games sound fun. 7. 49ers: Lesean McCoy gets another shot to beat Chip, if he is even playing that game. The 49ers could be a wild card team though honestly I believe. 8. Jaguars: Up and coming team, but no real motivation. The only two reasons I believe hype this game up is Marrone coming back and just revenge from last year. Agree or disagree?
  12. http://www.minerrush.com/2015/4/7/8148419/group-of-five-attendance-numbers-aac-mw-mac-sun-belt-cusa Let me add that Buffalo had a little over 20,000 fans in attendance on average, which was in the middle. Being honest, 20,000 fans is pretty good for a football team in a non-bcs conference. Just sell tickets for the lower deck, and it will still make a profit. Plus the draw of the stadium being downtown may draw more people and students to the stadium. I have seen the UB Stadium once, and it honestly sucks. There is the track separating the field from the students, which may be another draw on why less people go. Pitt had Heinz field like 90% full, although Pitt is in a BCS conference.
  13. http://www.ubbullrun.com/2015/1/22/7863221/a-case-study-in-nfl-college-football-shared-stadiums Would other Bills fans be willing to share a stadium with the Buffalo Bulls from the University of Buffalo if a new stadium is built? The UB Football Team has had some success over the past few seasons, but they had a down year this season. The UB Football Team needs a new stadium soon also. Other NFL teams that share a stadium are: Georgia State plays at the Georgia Dome UMass plays at Gillette Stadium University of Miami plays at Sun Life Stadium Temple University plays at Lincoln Financial Field Pitt Panthers play at Heinz Field San Diego St plays at Qualcomm Stadium USF plays at Raymond James Stadium Metlife Stadium always hosts a college game yearly Since both teams are in need of new stadiums, would Bills fans support the idea of the UB Football Team playing their games in the new stadium on Saturdays? Also, would other Bills fans support a possible college bowl game being played at the new stadium? Many bowl games are played at NFL Stadiums. Thoughts?
