Playoff Machine is up. Have fun
SF Bills Fan replied to BillsFan-4-Ever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If we lose Sunday, I don't think we lose to Houston. I am just looking at what are the most likely scenarios. It is more likely that we beat Houston at home. So a loss to KC and to any other team other than Houston to go 9-7 and we are still extremely likely to get in. Given the probable scenario that Pitt will lose at least two of the three likely losses they have.ahead. -

If you look at all the most likely scenarios, it's all going to come down to us and Pitt. We win out or lose tomorrow and win the next 5- we are in unless Pitt wins all remaining games. However, we can lose tomorrow and lose another and as long as Pitt loses two, we are in. Luckily, they play Seattle in Seattle Sunday, They also go to Cinci and have Broncos come to town. So they have it fairly tough. If we lose to KC Sunday it is crucial we get a Pitt loss too. My money is on them losing Sunday and to Cinci. We can lose to KC and Washington and still go in. -
Spinning our Wheels - some 10 game stats
SF Bills Fan replied to The Frankish Reich's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We win this week and we will be a playoff team. We lose and it's possible, but very tough. I can't see a team that we should lose to after Chiefs. -
I can already see Tuesday mornings headline...

Kraft, Belichick and the refs are probably sitting in a room smoking cigars and negotiating right now. Kraft: "We'll need at least 11 penalties. Mix it up a bit. 2 personal fouls, 3 interference and maybe 4 holding and an illegal block or two. Jerry Hughes is a good target" Belichick: "I agree" Refs: "We can do only 8 penalties on them and we have to flag you for 3." Kraft: "OK- that is fine. But their penalties need to be on crucial downs, hopefully 3rd and long, especially if the game is slipping away from us. You can call us for some illegal picks, but only on 2nd downs when it doesn't matter" Belichick: "I agree" Refs: "Done" Everyone chuckles in a cloud of smoke. -
Scott Chandler and LeGarrett Blount

Some player we have not heard of before will kill us tonight. When we panic and compensate for him, then they will go to Gronk and Amendola and the landslide will start. -

Your script is so likely, unfortunately. There will be some bad calls. We all know it. One of them will likely be game saving for them. -
Sabres playing at home tonight - Wow!
SF Bills Fan replied to Charles Romes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think there are lots of fans that favor the Sabres over NFL, i think people will unload tickets to hockey cheap tonight to watch football. If you want to go to Sabres- tonight is your night. I'll be at sports bar watching both. -
Doug Flutie Lost Both of His Parents this Morning
SF Bills Fan replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Very sad- both having heartattacks within an hour of each other. Just terrible. I had a buddy in Buffalo who had his dad pass and his mom pass a month later. She could not go in without her husband. A month is really bad, but an hour is unfathomable. . -
Conventional wisdom and others that don't know all the details (around injuries etc) will take this at face value. The recent series history, current standings, game location etc and then, yes, it would appear this will be a lopsided win for the Pats. A closer look on this one - the Pats are banged up and missing key players. We have injuries too, but are generally healthier than we have been all year. We've gelled since the last meeting when the systems were still being learned. History is not relevant. This is not the same lesser squad with a sub par coaching like years past. Rex has beaten the Pats with the same type of team (perhaps even less talented) and is not intimidated. It will be a very good game and we may come out on top. The masses will be shocked, but we should not be. I'll be shocked if it is a blow out for the Pats.
-
I think our chances are as good as they have been in a long time. I think the Pats are probably pretty wary of this one. More so than a lot of people would think. I don't expect a win, but I won't completely rule out any shot at winning like I would with some of our other less talented teams of recent years. If we win, I'll be pleasantly surprised, but not shocked. Then, I'll celebrate with a few cold ones.

Report - Rob Ryan to be fired in NOLA
SF Bills Fan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd bet he is not done. He'll turn up coaching D line in the NFL next year or at DC for a mid tier D 1 college program. -
Jets will be a better game with some implications (hopefully). We should beat Dallas as they will likely just be waiting to get done with season. Going to that would just be for the novelty of seeing Dallas in Buffalo.

Orton was very capable. I'd take him in back-up role this year.

Jimmy Spagnola was at the game last night
SF Bills Fan replied to Fixxxer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It just occurred to me how silly I must look throughout watching a Bills game. All emotions are present. Fear, relief, sadness, elation, inebriation (at times). Hopefully nobody ever films it. -
We will likely lose to Pats, but all the rest are winnable. Philly looks like another potential loss. Nice thing is that we can lose that and still be in. Yesterday gave us a cushion.

I Can't Picture Buffalo Winning... or Losing
SF Bills Fan replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed- I keep wavering back and forth. One minute, I picture that the D will show up and Fitz will play like the Fitz we know and our offense with Taylor will roll and we will kill them. then, I picture a meltdown with a million penalties, an offense that keeps going 3 and out with Rex losing it. -
Bills and Sabres playing at the same time tonight
SF Bills Fan replied to Charles Romes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Eichel is the real deal- a star in the making. Both games will be on at the Northstar tonight in San Francisco. Here's to two big victories. -
