  1. I remember the game well. Cleveland had to paint their awful muddy field green. No wonder the team split. But what a game. That was the last time the Browns were great and we were just at beginning of greatness. Bruce had a phantom face mask that day on Boomer that kept a key bengals drive alive that was paramount to them winning. The bills could have competed big time with the Niners in the Super Bowl that year. Still mad.
  2. This one is always well attended by Bills fans. The hoem edge for the Dolphins is marginal. We cna count our blessings that htis is the game where we are missing some players as opposed to Seattle or Cincinnati.
  3. If you put in a good system, you can plug in players that are not stars and it will succeed. Look at pats. Pats are great at making castoffs be successful. obviously we don't have Brady but I think we can pull it off.
  4. I agree with testing them for Miami regardless then we will see
  5. The Bills are developing a good system, so I expect them to be able to plug in players and keep rolling. shady is a big piece, but I feel like we can beat Miami without him. I'd rather have him 100% for Pats. We can beat Miami with our D.
  6. I think the only thing to do is just get wildly drunk and wake up Sunday and hope that everything has worked out for the better.
  7. Now that its not to the Bills I'll root for it. It could be a great rivalry for us if he did move them to Toronto. Swap Miami for the Toronto Titans.
  8. I noticed that too. The Niners fan was more interested in grabbing the ball that seemed to fall at his feet when the jump happened.
  9. There are lots of silly things that happened in the parking lots it seems. Do some digging- there is worse.
  10. If the Bills lose, I'll block out all football until they play again. If they win I watch tons of football college/pro and read lots of material on the next Bills opponent.
  11. I'm taing them in mine. This is the week to do it. I'm extremely confident.
  12. My two major problems from last year- lack of discipline and stupid penalties coupled with his laissez faire attitude from Rex toward that have been addressed and (so far) are non-issues. We lost games last year on penalties that kept us from being a playoff team. Now, the players are playing smart, they have bought into the system and Rex is saying the right things and we are getting the wins. So far, I'm satisfied. This is the year I thought we'd get last year.
  13. My concern is that they will look ahead to the Pats. No offense and I like your enthusiasm, dayman, but I'm not going to think about the pats until the Monday after Miami.
  14. Being in the Bay Area I'm pretty much living in the Niners message board. The message from their fans is, in general, "we are doomed".
  15. True- 27.8% of people know that.
  16. Niners have the worst run D in the league. They are lousy in every facet. This will be a toal destruction with the Bills winning by at least 3 TDs. I put the Niners chance of winning at 0%. I have the Bills in my knockout pool this week.
  17. Did someone spill beer on it?
  18. Bills will win by 10-13 points
  19. His investment is safe
  20. I'll give him huge credit. He outdueled Bellichick today and put in a gem of a game plan on D and reeled in the heady stupid penalties that we see out of guys like Hughes. He gets ripped to shreds in a loss so he deserves the props in a big win like this and last week.
  21. Agreed- me and a couple of guys commented during he game that it seemed like the refs called a very even game. No team seemed to be favored and, if anything they let a few pushes that were borderline go for both sides. Probably one of the better refed Pats-Bills games I recall in years.
  22. Agreed- they dialed up a hell of D. I think Lynn gets game ball. We did what we wanted against their D. That's a unit not missing any starters on their side.
  23. Agreed- very accurate assessment of the Pats pass game. They never had a stud receiver. It is always the great game plan that they stick to and execute perfectly. It's all about a quick pass and YAC that carries the offense. Brady is awesome at reading the D and he can perfectly place the ball in the hands of Edelman and Welker etc. When the opposition panics and over compensates to stop a particular facet of the Pats offense, then they get killed by a guy like Tyms or it is Gronk time. Bellichick is great adjusting. As for tomorrow- the key for the Bills is stop Blount and make Garapolo make those throws. Don't go all out on the pressure but take away those middle throws. I suspect Rex will blitz like mad and that will not be the right call. As for our offense, you know Bellichick will take away the run game and neutralize McCoy and contain Tyrod. That is it. He'll dare Tyrod to throw to win. Tyrod's normal little 3 yard passes and swing outs will not get the job done. I'm counting on Lynn to step up with a plan to throw over the middle which is not Tyrod's forte.
  24. Garapolo had a good game against the Dolphins but I think we can all agree that the Dolphins are also pretty terrible. I expect us to destroy Miami twice this year. I think this is a very even game and winnable- unlike the dark years when you knew we would lose.
