This is so hard because of the rotation we run. I would say Knox, but Kincaid is definitely going to eat into his snaps. I feel like Davis has to be the answer

Bills sign Latavius Murray to a one-year deal
Virgil replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
To me, Cook and Hines are similar. Cook can handle more early down carries as well Harris and Murray are very similar, with Harris being more of the power back. I feel like we are locked into Hines and Cook, which is why I think Harris or Murray will be the odd man out -

For me, 1st down backs are Cook and either Harris or Murray 3rd down is Hines and Cook. I don’t see a need for both. We couldn’t use Motor, Moss, and Cook in a good rotation. Also, who replaces Jones on ST? I think it will be Cook, Hines, Jones, and then Murray or Harris. I can’t see them keeping 5 -

Thank you for confirming he's an injury nightmare 😁 -

I feel like Murray and Harris won't both make the roster in training camp. Good to have options. I do feel like, between the draft and the type of guys we are bringing in, we will finally have a somewhat power run game -
I know they said theirs no plan to sign a veteran MLB, but could you add that here as well? Rumors have Patrick a Queen available for trade, even though I think he wouldn’t be a good fit. He was trash until Smith joined him

Everyone passed on those guys. It was a crap draft

Eagles destroyed that draft. If they aren’t first, the whole article is wrong

Name 2 players the Buffalo Bills will select in the 2023 NFL Draft
Virgil replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall
It’s funny how easily this could have happened in hindsight. Do we know why Washington fell so far? -
As we see certain players drop, for whatever reason, I wonder if there are thresholds of when a team might reconsider drafting that player. Most draft boards I see rank players by position, then by round rank within that. So, if there’s an OT who ranked in interviews, but fairly productive in the league with a second round grade. Do the Bills take him off the board completely, or put an asterisk next to him that indicates “if he’s available in the 5th or UDFA, then sure”

Some insight on Bills first round and how it went down

So, because they couldn’t trade their third, they figured they should waste it out of spite. Solid -
The Battle of a lifetime: Klein, Spector, Dodson, Bernard, Williams
Virgil replied to NewEra's topic in The Stadium Wall
Maybe we run a lot of nickel and don’t have a true MLB out there a lot? No clue. But I do refuse to believe they are just ignoring it and hoping it won’t matter. There has to be a plan -
Beane said they were going to play him outside. If that’s true, this pick makes zero sense to me. If he’s not meant to be our starter at MLB, with all the other players available, this sucks

If we traded up for Jones, OT, Ohio St, I would be ecstatic.

Love it. He was one of 3 I wanted. I wish we had someone to push Brown for the starting job, but I love us up the middle with Harris pounding the ball.

2023 NFL Draft DAY 2 **Live Thread*** Rounds 2 and 3
Virgil replied to muppy's topic in The Stadium Wall
As we head into day 2 of the draft, I’m curious to see what everyone is hoping to get out of this evening. I wasn’t happy about using our 4th round pick to trade up, but I do like the pick. I had to take a moment to process it, because I didn’t think Kincaid was even an option for us. I like the idea of him being more of a slot and in 12 personnel. I am curious if this will allow Dawson to live up to his contract and if Dorsey can utilize them both appropriately, but you can’t argue that Beane has a solid squad out on the field. For tonight, I think we have to find a way to get a MLB. I don’t like the idea of figuring it out with what we have, or using a rotation. MLB runs the defense and you need consistency there. Whoever they select, I’ll trust them. The other pick, I still want a OT that can kick inside, but I will understand if they go DT. We have to think about next year too and DT will be a big need. I don’t have any particular players in mind. I liked the WR a from Tennessee, but I don’t think we will go that route tonight. -
Will DeAndre Hopkins be available this offseason?
Virgil replied to NeverOutNick's topic in The Stadium Wall
This didn’t come to fruition because you all didn’t get this thread to 300 pages. Shame on you -
The moment we jumped in front of Dallas, I figured this was the pick.

I hate this

Trade back. There’s zero value at 27

Do me first

Flowers looks 12

Minnesota has a ton of needs. I could see a trade back here
-
Receivers could go 4 straight now
-
As of right now, I hope to trade back for someone who wants that 5th year option at QB. If not, we will get one of the top 3 receivers. Besides Minnesota, who else ahead of us needs one?
