  1. Seconded. Smith is a legit 1/2 receiver. Gives us insurance for Sammy and added stability to a position we have none. It's ridiculous if they aren't trying to make something work there
  2. Smith it actually a perfect fit for this offense. He'd be our number 1 guy this year and we have no idea if Sammy can complete a full season. He's affordable and within market value. It also lets us draft BPA next year. It makes way too much sense to go after him. So we won't.
  3. I think Smith is better than Woods, even just for deep routes. He's proven himself for at least a few seasons, Woods has not. I think Woods will get 8-9 mil on the free market, but I don't think he's worth it
  4. Yeah, I'm thinking 4th rounder at best. This is a salary cap dump for them
  5. 8 mil, while a lot, is kind of the going rate for #2 receivers. He's a proven deep threat and better than what we have. I'd be on board for this
  6. I'd like to know more about how the cap works with a trade like that.
  7. They need to go at least 4-3 over the next 7 games.
  8. I want to take both of them out to a nice seafood dinner and then never call them again!
  9. I think McCoy not helping with pass protection was huge for us. Felton needed to be in more to help with Mills
  10. Reasons why I think you may be wrong 1 - The last two weeks, we've been susceptible to line pills and misdirection plays. The Pats are fantastic at those. 2 - We have no idea if Shady will be back or Dareus. Plus, Duke Williams playing gives me panic attacks. 3 - We are their only loss. You know that pisses them off. They will try to run it up.
  11. Based on the comments Fitz made post game, I wonder if they will go with Petty or the Hack
  12. You mean we will be out of it and won't have meaningful December games?! How dare you!!! Don't you know we are the Bills?! Oh wait, that's right. We are the Bills. Carry on......
  13. 1 - !@#$ Dareus. The more I think about him, the more I wonder if he will be one of those guys who retires early. Ricky Williams 2.0 2 - I know my tag says FireRex and I'm not his biggest fan, so this will look like more of the same, but Rex does own the W/L record. Being 1-2 in the AFC East, probably 1-3 after next week, just can't happen if you want to make the playoffs. You can't dig that big of a hole for yourself and expect good things by the end of the season. I know he didn't want to lose to Miami, but their players were way more ready to play than ours. Why? Who knows. But we got absolutely smacked around in the trenches. That was the biggest difference in this game. I give credit for being up 17-6, but it's a 4 quarter game. We have a really tough stretch coming up. If he can make it through that 3-3, then we may be okay. I'm not optimistic. Not because I'm anti-Rex, but because any good team would have a tough time with the next 6 games. 3 - I still can't figure out what happened with McCoy and the run game yesterday. If he was healthy, where were the run calls? 6 in the first half? Whether they work or not, we keep trying. That's who we are! If McCoy was hurt, why was he in there at all? No matter what, the logic doesn't make sense. I don't know if it's a matter of Lynn trying to change things up and compensate for Woods/Watkins being out, but yesterday's offensive gameplan needs to be thrown in the trash. 4 - Miami has a good team on paper and has for the past two years. Maybe the Steelers game finally woke them up. It happened to us after our 0-2 start. I'm not pissed about the loss because we were supposed to be a better team. In fact, I'd pry take their roster over ours in certain areas right now, considering our injuries. It's more about it being a division game and needing it before our upcoming stretch. 5 - I think I'm done listening to the TT bashing. Before anyone jumps on his ass anymore I need to hear two things before I respond. What better option do you have for us, especially considering the wheel or misfortune we've had at the position. And what other QB's, not in the top 5 of the league, are you seeing be dramatically better in the All-22 breakdowns. QB's miss throws. It happens. But he's better than what we've had and what's available and will be available. He's also doing what's being asked. He's not Rodgers. Hell, Rodgers isn't Rodgers this year. No one is saying he is. He's a 10-15 quarterback in a run-heavy offense who's asked to manage the game and not lose it. I'm fine with that. If you have a top 5 qb waiting in the wings, please show him to me. 6 - Right now, the future screen name options are: !@#$ Dareus, The Lorax, 27CornerBlitz , or just plain old Virgil
  14. You're absolutely right about the ignore button and you've earned it my friend. Just in case you're wondering why I don't respond going forward. Trust me, we all get it, you don't want TT as our QB. How do I know? The million posts you have about it. It's everywhere. How many threads and comments do you need to make about it? But for my one last response before I don't have to see the same crap over and over again: His deal is basically year to year for the first two years. They were very clear about that. His cap hit, regardless of how much cash he actually gets, is about 18 mil if they pick up his option. If you compare that around the league, that's stones. Also, I don't know of a better option and none of these rookies in the draft are going to be available to us and wouldn't play as well for a few years anyways. It's shaping up to be a weak class. You want to just make a change, but you really don't have a better option available. Yes, I like Tyrod. I think he's doing what's asked of him. I believe he has a big issue with lack of urgency at the end of games, but that same demeanor keeps him calm at other times. Rex has said it. Lynn has said it. And if you watch the play calls you can see it. They have a very specific offense designed and TT runs it. They don't run 4/5 WR and spread the field. It's a 2-3 receiver set with a few reads only. This allows the option of the run at all times because we are a run heavy team. If we get 400 yards of offense, we want 250 to be rushing. Blame Lynn if you don't like it, not TT. As for Miami? I don't know what that plan was, but after they were up 17-6, I would love to know what his time to throw was. That's all I got. Enjoy your crusade. I won't be able to see it going forward.
  15. I'm back to my 9-7 best, 8-8 worst. They need a statement win, hopefully it's the Pats
  16. Holy sh!tsnacks?! Do you have anything else to talk about?
  17. I can't say I saw anything from him that gave me any hope or insight about him. Just another guy out there today
