  1. Yeah, I thought of that and may still do it. (Actually, my wife researched ways for me to watch the game.) I can also get a free 7 day trial of Paramount+ to watch it that way. But honestly, that is not nearly as fun of a story as Skype-watching the game! 🤪 And it is still way better than watching game-tracker from CBS Sports like I had to do on the boat for the last 3 games. (Interestingly, game-tracker is about 5-10 seconds ahead of the game on my TV at home. Sometimes I bet my wife on an upcoming play!)
  2. I will be watching the game from a hotel room in Quito, Ecuador where I am in isolation following a positive test for COVID-19. I tested positive on Jan 18 and again yesterday. (I got tested the second time earlier than recommended in the hopes that I could fly back today in time for the game.) Fortunately, I have very mild symptoms. My wife and I were on a vacation to the Galapagos Islands. She tested negative and flew back home to WNY. I am glad that she is safe and sound back at home. Surprisingly, they will not show the Bills-Chiefs game on the local Spanish language television channels, so my wife will be setting up her laptop in front of our TV at home and Skyping the game to my laptop in my hotel room! Did I marry the right girl or what?? And she is not even from the east coast and only watches football because I do. Now that is true love. PS Do any of you medical-type folks know if snorting Listerine before I take my next COVID test will work? If not, do you recommend something else, like bourbon? If none of that will work, are there any ex-special forces-type folks who specialize in exfiltrations on this board??
  3. If I recall correctly, the players had decided early on to keep their vaccination status to themselves so as to not cause any dissention. Josh is determined to keep his end of the bargain. Too bad others are not.
  4. Matt Haack for staying off the field the whole game! Way to go Matt!
  5. I wonder if it is permissable for Bud Light to reimburse him the $5k (or more) for the publicity he is giving them?
  6. Hmmm, how about you come to my house for the next game. I've got a 6-pack for you at a discounted rate!
  7. If every coach who got out-coached by Bill Belichick was fired for that, there would be no coaches left in the NFL after the last 20 years.
  8. Probably the same toys that every other NFL team with an extra $25.7 million needs: OL, DL, skill players. Unfortunately, I think most of that money will go to increase the pay of those middling players who will be sought after by all, but are not real game-changers. It will also drive up the cost of those special players most in demand by all teams, but are able to be choosy about where they go. The Bills still have to be very smart with their cap.
  9. Don't forget: can leap over tall defenders in a single bound!
  10. I do believe that financial gain influences almost every decision the NFL makes. I don't believe that this includes who wins/loses a particular game/games. The reason I don't believe that happens is that financial gain also influences almost every decision an NFL player makes, too. None of them would stand to allow NFL decisions to affect performance bonuses they may lose based on fewer yards rushing/passing, fewer wins, fewer playoff bonuses, fewer Pro Bowl bonuses, etc. Not to mention playing for pride, for a feeling of accomplishment, for glory, for endorsements, etc. I find it hard to believe that this type of collusion would remain secret for long. Too many paychecks involved.
  11. My personal ultimatum? If the Bills move out of Buffalo, I am done. (And I pray everyday that they move so that I can avoid the gut wrenching Mondays, or Tuesdays, or Fridays, and I can regain my Sundays to do as I please.) As long as the Bills remain in Buffalo, I am doomed to watch and root for them.
  12. As long as he is helping the team, and as long as Brady still likes him, of course Arians will give him "one more final chance." Money talks, and wins mean money.
  13. I can't help but blame Josh Allen. If he would just instruct our running backs in how to leap over defenders, we wouldn't even need an O-line. Stupid Josh being lazy!
  14. Prior to yesterday's game, weren't we the highest scoring team in the league? That seems to suggest we were doing something right, in my opinion. I also think defenses have looked at the tape and have adjusted to what the Bills did well last year, so they've had to change it up a bit.
  15. I would trade Vernon Butler for Tom Brady, if the only criteria for a trade is what will help us win a Super Bowl. It would take Tampa Bay out of the competition I would LOVE to see Brady sitting on the bench the whole game high-fiving no one Derrick Henry for the same reason, minus the bench sitting part obviously.... 😆
  16. In my experience, these type of public commentary deals come up with three alternatives: Do nothing. (Play in the same stadium) A terrible alternative that no one wants. (Something like a floating stadium on Lake Erie) The alternative they wanted all along (A stadium in Orchard Park) This way, they can say the public had the chance to have input on how their money is being spent, while knowing that they will get what the wanted from the beginning. Sometimes, they may make minor changes based on public input, if they really like them (meaning they will make the plan cheaper or will result in more money being made.)
  17. Then, he also stated something like that he himself could hold (legally) the shoulder pads all day and be able block everyone. I was absolutely astounded by that! Maybe I just misunderstood him?
  18. GEHA = Government Employees Health Association I'm a member! (And I have been really happy with this plan for 30+ years...) They are based in Kansas City.
  19. Does this include yards rushed by Josh Allen? If so, I don't think QB scrambles lead to as much punishment of the defenders as designed rushes by RB's. The blocking is different, plus Josh (hopefully) doesn't cause as much punishing contact as a running back would.
