  1. Best OL in years and the Bills are going to replace three positions? Why not just keep Morse?
  2. Weren't you the want that posted that Diggs was screaming insults at Allen at halftime of games? If that was not a one or two time occurence and Allen couldn't take care of it himself man to man, then the Bills had to either trade Diggs or Allen and clearly they weren't going to trade Allen.
  3. I don't think DraftKing got wind of it. More likely it was someone in the know telling their friends, and all of them making big bets on Diggs leaving. It was all insider trading
  4. These prop bets are where the fixes will occur not the league dictating who will win. All you have to do is get to one guy. Jontay Porter has already been caught in the NBA and its only a matter of time before someone is caught in the NFL.
  5. It's like the Kelvin Benjamin / Gettleman food stealing story. It was clearly fake but it has pretty much become accepted fact.
  6. I assumed you left put a comma; " Great, kid. You got your wish." not "Great kid. You got your wish." Kenny Pickett issued an extremely strong non-denial denial of the story about refusing to suit up for the 17th game: "There was a plan for that game. It went down exactly the way it was planned to go down that entire week. I was coming off the ankle surgery, it is what it is. And like I've been saying, I'm very happy to be here." It sounds like, my plan was to refused to suit up and that's how it went. https://www.nfl.com/news/new-eagles-qb-kenny-pickett-on-reports-of-his-steelers-exit-i-m-confident-in-the-way-i-handled-it
  7. The contract is incentive heavy. The gaurantee is only 6.5 milliion. This is why the Jets were (supposedly) surprised that he signed. https://www.si.com/nfl/cowboys/news/tyron-smith-worth-inside-dallas-cowboys-contract-details-new-york-jets-sign-6-million https://thejetpress.com/posts/ny-jets-surprised-tyron-smith-contract-details-cheap
  8. This is definitely true with all the other cuts. Morse is the only real surprise especially after trading Bates. There were plenty of teams that would have killed for offensive line depth last year and putting someone in with very little experience at center is very risky.
  9. Interesting that Morse is the only ex-Bill getting immediate interest after the cuts. Clearly he has value around the league. I can see the Bills regretting not having Morse around this year.
  10. Just a further clarification. Violation of the financial rules in English football results in point penalties that may but do not necessarily lead to relegation. For example, this season, Everton was given a 10 point deduction which would put them in 17th place, one point above relegation. It was reduced to a 6 point penalty on appeal which puts them in 16th place, 5 points clear of relegation. Without the penalty they would be in 13th place and out of the relegation discussion.
  11. I know this is a joke but I really hope this is not true. If it is true, some people really need to re-arrange their priorities.
  12. The last two non Allen QBs the Bills drafted are Jake From and Nathan Peterman, so not a great track record.
  13. Why not a 6 rounder if your team is not too worried about cap space and the Jets pick up most of the salary? If he looks awful, just cut him. If he looks good in practice you can sign him to a new contract and it won't cost much. If he looks good in games and someone else offers him more that you want to pay, it will help you with the comp pick formula. If he actually looks like a legitimate starting QB, well then you have a QB. Seems like a reasonable cost for a QB who has been awful but clearly has physical talent and also was in about a bad situation as possible from the QB development stand point. Of course, this is totally dependent on the Jets picking up most of the salary.
  14. I have to agree on Gregg. I would put Marrone 3rd on the list of least likeable coaches: (1) Gregg Williams (2) Rex Ryan (3) Doug Marrone (4) Mike Mularkey. I would also add Tom Donahoe as least likeable GM.
  15. I could see them going to a FIFA style lottery to have new divisions every year. You can have the drawing two weeks after the Super Bowl. Imagine the ratings. It would blow the NCAA bracket drawing out of the water and keep the NFL front and center with all the networks/streaming services for another few weeks. There are advantages. For one thing, you don't have to watch the Jets twice every year.
  16. Isn't that why they hired Al Holcomb? To get outside view? Otherwise I don't know what Holcomb's duties are.
  17. He was never a top three kicker. His 87.1% in 2022 was #11 in the NFL that season. Maybe you can say he was a top 10 kicker if you account for weather conditions, but over the last three years, opponent kickers in Bills games have made a higher percentage of field goals than Bass has. Bass has never been elite, but before this year, he was good enough for what the Bills needed.
  18. Todd Blackledge, the second QB picked in the 1983 draft.
  19. I literally have never heard anyone say this. Now, it is true I don't listen to Nick Wright who basically is a Skip Bayless wannabe so possibly he said it. It seems many people here want to be offended if anyone say the Bills are not absolutely unbeatable or that Josh Allen is not quite perfect.
  20. So many people here looking for things to be offended by. There's approximately 85.780 NFL media "experts", out there, you can always find someone saying something you don't like. Right now, the media is overwhelmingly positive about the Bills, it's not just Romo. It you go to other fans message boards, they talk about how the media and referees are treating Josh Allen just like Bills fans talk about how the media and referees treat Mahomes.
  21. As noted up thread, the Saturday night game is always the lowest rating game. People actually have stuff they would rather do on Saturday night. The 23M is 7% higher than last year's game in the same time slot.
  22. It sounds like you might be interested in subscribing to his newsletter.
  23. NFL is definitely pushing it big time. If it was network tv the Saturday night game would have been Browns-Texans.
