On review, it was ruled that Kincaid fumbled the ball forward so the ball was spotted in the wrong place. Since there was a change in the ruling the challenge was technically successful.

Opinion: Top 5 Bills games in Josh Allen era
Billy Claude replied to ryguy101's topic in The Stadium Wall
That was the game where the SF defenders said they knew everything that was coming but had no idea how to stop it. -
I didn't say wrecking booths was good energy. I agree that it showed a level of immaturity that you would not want from someone who is supposed to be a leader. However, I don't remember noticing that Dorsey was particularly low energy in general.

Just some night game schedule thoughts
Billy Claude replied to Just Jack's topic in The Stadium Wall
I had assumed this was one of those further evidence the league hates the Bills threads. Glad it wasn't. -
How was Dorsey low energy? He was the one that wreck the booth after the Miami game.

Absolutely, he was fired after his offense scored 31 points but the Bills lost because Rex Ryan's defense gave up 34. There was also reports that he called Ryan a clown show afterwards though Roman later denied it.

Caleb Williams is off to a rough rookie start

People are always talking about getting weapons for a young QB but to me getting a decent oline and a reliable safety option is much more important. A really bad oline could ruin a young QB for their whole career (see David Carr). Having good olines was a huge advantage for Mahomes and Lamar Jackson when they came into the league. Obviously Jamarr Chase is a excellent WR but if the Bengals had picked Penei Sewell like most expected, maybe Joe Burrow could play more than half the games. Beane thought he had a decent oline for whoever he was going to draft in 2018 but Eric Wood suddenly had to retire, Richie Incognito did what he did, and the Bills finished much better than he expected so he had to trade Cordy Glenn to move up to pick Allen. -
Strange thing I noticed about Mike McDaniel
Billy Claude replied to steven50's topic in The Stadium Wall
The picture is of the actor James McDaniel. Mike McDaniel's father died in a car accident went he was four years old. Here is a picture from Mike McDaniel's parents' wedding: https://www.naijanews.com/buzz/people/who-mike-mcdaniels-parents-everything-miami-dolphins-coach-family/ Pictures of McDaniels' parents on the internet often show his mother and stepfather who is white. -
He basically said that before that before the game: "Typically against the Dolphins with their high powered offense, it's about points, not yards, and then taking care of the football." McDermott said. "You look at the games that we've played, the first game last season, we were able to take the ball away and score and score touchdowns rather than field goals, and in the second game we had yards, but not as many points. So it's points over yards and making sure we take care of the ball." https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/listen-mcdermott-its-about-points-not-yards-against-miami/ar-AA1qp4YK So clearly he felt that it was more important than usual, that the Bills score touchdowns rather than field goals.

I don't understand this narrative that Jackson cheated Allen out of the MVP last season. Josh Allen was never in the MVP conversation. He finished a distant 5th well behind Dak Prescott, CMC, and Scott Purdy. Once the Ravens destroyed the 49ers in week 15, it was a foregone conclusion that Jackson would win, especially since the Niners vote got split evenly between CMC and Purdy. If you don't think Jackson should have won the MVP, you should have said Jackson should not have won the MVP over Prescott, CMC or Purdy not Allen. The reasons Allen didn't win the MVP are pretty apparent: (1) The Bills didn't finish as one of the top two teams in the league (2) Allen played pretty badly for a significant part of the season when most of the impressions are made. (3) Allen had too many interceptions. In particular, his three interceptions in the Jets game that everybody was watching re-enforced the impression that he is a turnover machine.

Bass struggling at minicamp (and now at training camp)
Billy Claude replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Ok thanks. I obviously didn't read it carefully enough. It makes more sense that the clearly insincere platitude came from McDermott. -

Usually I regard Beane as a straight shooter for a GM but "confidence is very high in T. Bass" has to be an out and out lie. Edit -- someone pointed out it was McDermott who said it and not Beane. -
It wasn't just Tua, Flores had trouble getting along with a lot of people in the Dolphins organization. He had issues with the GM and with the owner. He had 3 OCs, 3 OL and 3 QB coaches in 3 seasons. He had two coaches step down/ fired 4 months after being hired. His inability to get along with people was the official reason he was fired.

I think the Spurs are a better choice -- no championship since 1960. A lot of heart-breaking losses often due to their own teams stupidity and the terms "Spursy" and "Billsy" are synomyn. Newcastle, would have been a good choice a few years ago but they are now owned by the Saudi sovereign fund and have infinite resources (unless you see Pegula and the Saudi royal family as equivalent).

Tre White is doing "great" in Camp
Billy Claude replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't understand it either. Do fans usually boo a player just for making a play against their team? The only time someone would get booed is if the celebration is way over the top or taunting in some way. -

Hauschka already started fading in 2018 but the 2017 season might been the best season ever by a Bills kicker. His percentage was very good though not great (29 out of 33 for 87.9%), but he hit 7 out of 9 from 50+ yards and all his misses were from over 40 yards. He also set the record for NFL consecutive fgs over 50 yards that season and was special team player of the week twice. None of his misses cost the Bills games since three were in Bills victories and the other miss was in a 37-16 lost to the Patriots. He was also 100% on PATs that season and was 1 for 1 in the playoff game. You might argue he was the most important Bills player in the 2017 playoff run. -

It's not just that. He was 40% in the playoffs last year and basically kept the Steelers in the game. -
Travis Kelce at #9? Maybe in 2021.

John Elway admits Josh Allen was his biggest regret
Billy Claude replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
Wasn't there a photo of the Cowboys draft board showing that they had EJ Manuel as a 4th rounder and ? Wasn't there also a story (later denied) that Jimbo Fisher was told people that Manuel did not have the tools to be an NFL QB. I thought that most of the pundits had Geno Smith as the top QB and was surprised that the Bills took Manuel. Pretty much a WTF pick from day one which was fairly common with the Bills in those days. -

Nothing lately about it. It was just continuing a long time Browns tradition of bad QB picks: 2005 Charlie Frye (3rd) 2007 Brady Quinn (1st) 2010 Colt McCoy (3rd) 2012 Brandon Weeden (1st) 2014 Johnny Manziel (1st) 2016 Cody Kessler (3rd) 2017 DeShone Kizer (2nd) One can argue that Charlie Frye was the best of the bunch. Evidence that just picking a QB every couple of years doesn't work. The Browns drafting record from 2011 to 2016 was probably the worst in the history of the NFL. Except for Bitonio (2nd round 2014), every high pick they had in that stretch was pretty much a bust.
