Josh Allen Tops NFL.com's dark horse MVP List
Penfield45 replied to foreboding's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I still am not convinced by his passing numbers he can do great things with his legs, and has been clutch, but can he put together 4 quarters of top class QB play multiple times per season? we will see. go look at how much Bears fans were hyped about Tribusky going into year 3. -
Anybody want to go on record about Josh?
Penfield45 replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
heart doesn't win you superbowls lol. talent does And Stafford is a far superior passer than Allen. Josh needs to work on his accuracy and start racking up 300+ yard games -
thing is this season he needs to take a massive leap. year 3 is make or break for many young QB's. Allens stats through 2 years isn't all that impressive so he really needs to have his breakout year next season. that said I have no doubt Beane will move on from Allen if he doesn't show real promise in the next 2 seasons. we didn't risk our future in drafting him and we have more than enough talent on this team to package a deal to land draft picks

Just watched Replay of Bills/Pats Week16
Penfield45 replied to BobbyC81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
one of the more disappointing games of the season I thought we were going to go into NE and smack them in the mouth but the opposite happened. game was there to win and the offense let us down in the end. Allen did not put in a franchise QB type performance and that 100% has to change next season. -
Buffalo Bills Official 2020 Schedule

those last 4 games are going to be so clutch all winnable and unless the patriots have some crazy good season I don't fear any of them. -
Buffalo Bills Official 2020 Schedule

lol there won't be any football being played in early august I doubt the season even starts on time with the way the virus is spreading in the southern US right now. We will reach the 2nd wave earlier than any other country -
terrible opening 2 weeks hate playing division opponents in the first 2 weeks. jets will be looking for revenge week 1. still no excuse, if we even wanna think about winning the division anything less than a 2-0 start is unacceptable

Senior Bowl executive director Jim Nagy on Jake Fromm

Allen has done nothing so far to claim this team as "his" he has a LONG way to go -
Bears decline 5th year option on Trubisky
Penfield45 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
my biggest fear for Allen is a Tribusky/Bortles like path Tribusky's numbers are so similar to Allen's in his 2nd year. Bears fans were ecastatic about entering their 3rd year with him just like we are with Allen, and he crashed and burned. Bortles went to the AFC champ game and now can't even find a job -
lets hope he doesn't go to the patriots Dalton on that team would perform better than Brady did last season. and their defense won't drop out of the top 5 so they are still a threat. yup. One could argue a 4-5 week long injury to Allen and our season is basically over. we have no room for errors next season with that schedule, and Barkley or Fromm isn't going to be winning very many games.

What AJ Espensa peers say about facing him...
Penfield45 replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
just hope that power translates to the NFL won't be long until he is a captain on that defense along with White, Edmunds and Oliver. -
Tyler Bass, kicker, might be Bills' best pick
Penfield45 replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
yup he has the potential to be the best kicker in the league when he reaches his prime. will take time and patience as kickers need tons of experience but hopefully he is our franchise kicker -
Darnold and Allen are pretty identical in their development right now. Allen has the slight edge bc of playoff experience and comeback wins but Darnold for now is def the better passer. Unless we totally improve our offense this won't be a top 3 team in the conference. idc how good our defense is, as we saw last season with the cheifs the NFL is all about offense now. how many points can you put up per game? we had a mediocre point total for a 10-6 team last season
-
its crazy to think if AJ's 40 and 3 cone time was slightly better (just barely) he would most likely be considered a top 10 pick
-
We haven't had a good TE since the 90's. I think Knox can def improve next season. I'd like to see him used far more esp in the redzone.

pretty much. at this point Allen is the only thing holding this team back from being a super bowl contender
