Big Black Bock
-
I never watched Edmunds and came away impressed with him as a player, but I can’t deny that the team’s performance was dramatically better when he was in the lineup compared to when he wasn’t. He was going to get a bag from someone that the Bills couldn’t match. It’ll be interesting to see if he earns it.

Allen’s contract is increasing at a rate that exceeds the salary cap increase, but it’s still not really an issue. Miller’s is potentially problematic in that he’s going to be a big cap hit in the near future, and the likelihood of that turning into an albatross is considerable given his age and injury situation. If you cut a player, all of that money that’s been restructured comes due immediately in terms of the cap hit so there’s potentially a lot of dead money sitting out there.

If you're looking to corner the market on guys who have been mostly disappointing other than a monster game in a loss against the Chiefs, he's the missing piece.
-
Tyreek Hill isn’t really all that fast when you put it in context.
-
Sustainable? He was terrible, and they still scored 31. You’d be hard pressed to find a less capable QB than Skylar Thompson, and they still produced. That is one of the best rosters in football. When Tua is healthy, they’re at worst slight underdogs in every game. When he isn’t healthy, they’ve still got a puncher’s chance. Now they aren’t good enough to win a Super Bowl with a backup, but neither is anyone else. They’re perfectly capable of making the playoffs if Tua misses 4 games in the regular season. This move absolutely closes the gap a bit. I still think the Bills are the favorites to win the East even if NY signs Rodgers, but at this point I’d take the field.
-
Okay, Homer. Keep trying to convince people that the guy who’s been first team All-Pro twice in the past 3 seasons isn’t elite.
-
They scored 31 with Skylar Thompson in the playoffs.
-
Congrats on watching Ramsey play the last 2 years and coming to the conclusion that he’s not elite. He was first team All-pro two seasons ago and helped the Rams win a ring. You’re not going to find a discussion about the best CBs in the NFL that doesn’t include JR.

I don’t see what it being a Bills board has to do with people saying that Jalen Ramsey sucks. I’m a Chiefs fan, and I have no problem understanding that he’s an elite player. It’s one thing to say that the Bills will still win the division. It’s another to pretend that guys like Aaron Rodgers and Jalen Ramsey suck.
-
I may have misinterpreted your post, then. I took it as arguing that Fangio wasn’t a good DC. If that wasn’t your intent, then I apologize. The amount of people around here claiming that pretty much everyone not under contract for the Bills sucks is astounding, though. Aaron Rodgers, Tua, Bradley Chubb, Jalen Ramsey…bunch of bums. Then a poster involved in the same back and forth with Einstein was dumping on Fangio as well. It’s pretty wild.
-
So your opinion is that Vic Fangio isn’t a good DC? I guess it’s not enough that no teams other than the Bills have good players. Every other team’s coaches suck as well.
-
Only the Bills have good players.
-
Watched him have career highs in passes defended, interceptions, tackles, and sacks in 2022.
-
He’s 28 and just had the best season of his career. He’s absolutely elite.

GB demonstrates how NOT to do it with QBs in the modern NFL
Billl replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
Squandered? They won two championships during that time. Josh has played 5 seasons, and the closest the Bills have come was a blowout loss in the AFCCG. You think he's going to retire with more rings than Rodgers or Favre? -
I think you should act intentionally and get the player your scouts and coaches have identified as an elite player. You think they should be passive and accept the best of whatever is left because it’s cheaper. We have different mentalities.
-
He's set to make $11m more in 2023 than Saffold made in 2022. Why would it be a good idea to spend an additional $11m to upgrade the Guard position while creating a hole at LT?
-
Yeah, and I think most GMs will fail out of the league without ever winning anything of note. The cost of moving up a few spots to get the player you really want as opposed to waiting it out and settling for whoever is left when you’re on the clock is worth it, IMO. I don’t think any Bills fans are lamenting the picks they gave up to get Josh, and I don’t think any Chiefs fans wish they had the picks back that were used to draft Mahomes or to jump the Bills last year for McDuffie. That doesn’t mean you have to move up from the thirties into the teens every year, but if there’s someone you’ve identified as a star who falls well beyond where you think they belong, then give up the third or fourth rounder to go get him. I’d much rather miss out on a third rounder I like than a first rounder I like. Worst case scenario, you can always trade again to obtain another mid round pick if there’s a guy in the third you can’t live without.
-
When you’ve got the opportunity to pay a ton of money for a guy with 850 yards in the past 3 seasons, you’ve got to take it.
-
I don’t understand the rationale here. If there’s a guy you’re excited about, why wouldn’t you go get him.
-
He seems like a declining player, but 30 TDs in the last 3 seasons isn’t nothing. I wonder what his relationship with Diggs is like.

Diggs unfollows Buffalo, follows Cowgirls 🤷♂️

Literally everyone. I'm a Chiefs fan, and I'm still pissed off about losing to the Bills the past two seasons. That's what sports are all about. -

Diggs has a track record of this. He didn’t “get over it” when he was in Minnesota. Why is this different?
